This chapter presents an approach to the role of software engineering in developing solutions for new mobile technologies, like tablets. It discusses the importance of the new standards brought by emerging technologies such as engineering and how software must adapt to this new reality in order to identify the needs of data, information, integration, shares, and other issues that will contribute to the life cycle of these solutions. The chapter also discusses the contribution of users in the development process and improve these solutions. The research method is the case study conducted in industrial companies that use a digital catalog solution and sales force automation for tablets. This chapter presents a new approach based on commercial tablets which is supported by a platform of software and services called commercially Nimiam (www.nimiam.com.br).

A common prerequisite in valuation analysis is the availability of temporal information on financial variables. Nevertheless, reduced size companies-representing more than 98% on current productive systems- fail to have available temporal information to estimate valuations. In this paper, we offer a procedure for estimating reduced size companies’ values under the hypothesis that spatial behaviour matters for valuations. With this aim, we present the theoretical background for this hypothesis and introduce a spatial proposal with a case study of industrial companies where the significant role of space on firms’ valuations is previously tested. This analysis shows the relevance of spatial information in firms’ valuation confirming the predictive capability of our approach applying the out of sample methodology

The term knowledge management (KM) is difficult to define. This is because its domain as identified in research and practice, has roots in many fields. This has led to the use of different methodologies and strategies that are based on the type of evaluation required in the work. Therefore, the study argues that this problem is leading to important gaps in understanding and identifying the conditions and the needs required for KM systems (KMS), as well as the methods divergent and inadequate in KM implementation. Six kinds of gap within the firms of the study topic are explained. Meanwhile, the study has used grounded theory to classification of the information in field interviews with senior managers and employees of four companies for diagnoses of the particular gaps in KMS, with a supported intensified analysis of the literature. In view of that, this paper has explored the role of KM in the industrial firms' and the limitation of obstacles to avoid the gaps. Furthermore, this study has suggested a businesslike framework and creative method, explaining comprehensively how KM must adjust for aligning employees' ideas with the firm's larger goals effectively and strategically, which will reduce the lack of harmonisation between the polarisation and implementation of KMS to those firms.

The study aimed to know the role of green accounting in the telecommunications sector in Sudan and to show its impact in reducing the environmental harms resulting from its activity by applying to a Sudanese company in testing two hypotheses. The first is that there is a positive relationship between the application of green accounting and the radioactive pollution of communication towers. And the second hypothesis is a positive relationship between the application of accounting. Green and increasing environmental awareness, the study used the inductive approach and the descriptive analytical approach, where the inductive approach was used through the role of green accounting in environmental pollution in communications in Sudan from a Sudanese company as a case study with the use of the descriptive analytical approach through metadata collected from a questionnaire distributed on a random sample of 40 employees of the company and their results analyzed. The most important results concluded that green accounting leads to a reduction in environmental pollution by inference to the percentage of those who agree to that 79% of the respondents and that the companies ’commitment to applying green accounting leads to an increase in environmental awareness by inference that the percentage of those who agree to that is 73% of the respondents, and the study recommended many The recommendations, most notably the necessity to oblige companies to apply green accounting, raise the level of environmental awareness and disclose this in their reports.
