Abstract. Cluster operation of a cotton picker requires production monitoring, work area statistics, and the collection of work status information. Traditional cotton pickers are either not equipped with a production inspection system or use approximate statistics only. To achieve accurate monitoring of the output of cotton pickers and ensure the accuracy and reliability of remote communication, this study designed a laser- and sensor-based flow-monitoring device that uses a wireless sensor and proposed the use of an image data processing method to accurately calculate cotton flow. BeiDou Navigation Satellite System positioning technology is used to determine the position and area of a cotton picker, and the collected data are transmitted to the dispatch center using BeiDou short message communication technology. The remote monitoring system of the cotton picker includes an onboard vehicle subsystem and a dispatch center. The onboard vehicle subsystem can acquire acquisition information and remotely transmit location information, acquisition area, and acquisition traffic. The dispatch center mainly sends instructions to the cab of the cotton picker for remote management, scheduling, and visual imaging of the track and production statistics of the cotton picker. The monitoring system was installed in the pilot of the 8th Division of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps in China. The cotton quality monitoring accuracy reached 97%, the positioning and ranging errors were less than 1%, and the system can communicate smoothly without a General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) network area. To improve the efficiency of the remote monitoring system for logistics transportation, we proposed a remote monitoring system based on wireless sensor network and GPRS communication. The system can collect information from the wireless sensor network and transmit the information to the ZigBee interpreter. The monitoring system mainly includes the following parts: Car terminal, GPRS transmission network and monitoring center. Car terminal mainly consists by the Zigbee microcontroller and peripherals, wireless sensor nodes, RFID reader, GPRS wireless communication module composed of a micro-wireless monitoring network. The information collected by the sensor communicates through the GPRS and the monitoring center on the network coordinator, sends the collected information to the monitoring center, and the monitoring center realizes the information of the logistics vehicle in real time. The system has high applicability, meets the design requirements in the real-time acquisition and information transmission of the information of the logistics transport vehicles and goods, and realizes the function of remote monitoring.

Effective temperature control plays a key role in remote monitoring of wood drying. This paper analysis and design a fuzzy PID control strategy under the monitoring and control system by establishing the mathematical model of wood drying system. It can realize the remote communication by using RS485 and achieve the actual operation of the monitoring system control. By experimental data and the experimental curve, the temperature of the system has good tracking effect which can be verified. It can achieve effective remote monitoring.

For the characteristics of urban centralized heating system are wide geography coverage and large span of density distribution in the monitoring system but having regular, the paper put forward a remote communication mode combined by WSN and GPRS. As the background of the remote monitoring for the client operating condition in heating network, the paper elaborate the structure of urban remote monitoring system for heating network, and the design idea of its hardware and software. As well as the WSN self-organized protocol is analyzed carefully. The scheme can effectively solve the industrial field problem, which industrial environment is difficult to wire, and the construction and running cost is high in the remote monitoring system. It also has high application value.

For improving monitoring the sewage in pipeline, and improving the accuracy of the transmission in network, the remote monitoring system based on wireless sensor network and GPRS is designed. The test show that communications among the system are realized reliably and the requirements are met respectively. The application of the system can well meet the demands of remote monitoring system for sewage in pipeline.
