With the advent of communication technology evolution, learning becomes flexible and accessible at any time and anywhere. Educational technology researchers have extensively integrated the Theory of Acceptance Model (TAM) and Theory of Planned Behavior  to link the beliefs and actions in mobile learning. This study attempted to predict a hypothesized model of mobile learning culture via smart phone. In this present study, the m-learning culture is conceptualized from the factors of attitude, ethical use, technology competent; technology reliance and social well being. Social well being from the perspectives of The Adaptive Structuration has been integrated to underpin the study. 185 samples were drawn from the population of Korea University. Using self constructed questionnaire for the survey, the analyses involved descriptive and simultaneous Multiple Regression Analysis (MRA). The study was supported by qualitative design via interviews. The findings indicate all predictors are significant except for technology reliance and ethical use. Social well being is the highest predictor for the m-learning via smartphone. This study has been explored from both quantitative and qualitative research which provide important empirical information to support m-learning culture and its predictors. The findings have contributed to a model of m-learning which extends the literature and existing models of TAM and Theory of Planned Behavior.

AbstractThe use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in agriculture is expected to yield advantages such as savings in production resources, labor costs, and working hours as well as a reduction in soil compaction. However, the economic and ecological benefits of AI systems for agriculture can only be realized if farmers are willing to use them. This study applies the technology acceptance model (TAM) of Davis (1989) and the theory of planned behavior (TPB) of Ajzen (1991) to investigate which behavioral factors are influencing the acceptance of AI in agriculture. The composite model is extended by two additional factors, expectation of property rights over business data and personal innovativeness. A structural equation analysis is used to determine the importance of factors influencing the acceptance of AI systems in agriculture. For this purpose, 84 farmers were surveyed with a letter or an online questionnaire. Results show that the perceived behavioral control has the greatest influence on acceptance, followed by farmers’ personal attitude towards AI systems in agriculture. The modelled relationships explain 59% of the total variance in acceptance. Several options and implications on how to increase the acceptance of AI systems in agriculture are discussed.

The present study investigates fertility intentions of men, aged 18–59, as expressed in willingness to cryopreserve sperm for future use in procreation. An economic stated-preference framework is combined with the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) to investigate which attributes are important in the decision to cryopreserve sperm, what is the Willingness to Pay (WTP) for cryopreservation, and which attributes influence it. A structured, two-part questionnaire was used, based on WTP and Conjoint analysis (CA) applied in tandem to elicit respondents’ preferences in evaluating utility. Findings show which attributes are important in the decision to cryopreserve sperm among them Risk of Infertility, Personal monthly income, Chance of pregnancy from frozen semen, Age and what are significant predictor variables for the WTP which are Personal monthly income, Importance of the risk of infertility, Initial registration fee to sperm bank and cryopreservation, and Degree of religious observance. The findings further demonstrate that respondents value sperm cryopreservation and have a positive WTP for it as it seems to contribute to improving well-being. As a result of these findings, governments should consider state funding for cryopreservation as part of national health policy.

Abstract: A Behavioral Study on Middle-Class Consumers in Adopting M-Commerce in East Java. The objective of this study is to examine factors that influence the behavioral intention of consumers in using and adopting m-commerce. This study combines Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), and Innovation Diffusion Theory (IDT). The data of this study were collected through a survey and samples were selected by using convenience sampling technique with SEM-PLS requirement as many as ten times the number of paths. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Square (PLS). The results of this study show that perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, social influence, and personal innovativeness affecs behavioral intention. Furthermore, behavioral intention affects actual user, i.e. consumers, to use and adopt m-commerce information technology. This study implies that vendors of m-commerce information technology and management should pay more attention to and reconsider perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, social influence, personal innovativeness, behavioral intention, and consumers as actual users, when they make decision regarding adoption and appliance of m-commerce.Keywords: m-commerce information technology adoption, consumer behavior, Technology Acceptance Model, Theory of Planned Behavior, Innovation Diffusion TheoryAbstrak: Studi Keperilakuan Konsumen Kelas Menengah dalam Pengadopsian M-Commerce di Jawa Timur. Kata kunci: Adopsi Teknologi Informasi M-commerce, Perilaku Konsumen, Technology Acceptance Model, Theory of Planned Behavior, Innovation Diffusion Theory

Existing theories in the technology acceptance and Internet adoption fields have examined the adoption among users, which can be classified into two categories: technological and behavioral perspectives. In this paper, the authors propose an integrated household Internet adoption model combining both perspectives to provide a holistic view on the subject. For this purpose, the three primal models of technology acceptance and usage behavior, the technology acceptance model (TAM), theory of planned behavior (TPB), and uses and gratifications theory (U&G), are selected to construct the integrated model. In this way, based on the dimensions of the studied theories, specific constructs are defined to integrate these dimensions according to their similarities and appropriateness. The relationship between the proposed model’s constructs are then hypothesized based on the literature findings, and examined in a case study of household Internet adoption among Iranian households. Also, structural equation modeling (SEM) is used to illustrate the relationships’ coefficients between proposed model constructs, and derived implications for the Internet adoption among Iranian households are discussed based on the research findings.
