One of the major challenges for e-commerce transactions and e-payments consolidation is related to micropayments. Due to their cost and ease of use, companies are reluctant to implement solutions focused on micropayments. To face this challenge and keep modernising the Brazilian financial sector and increase competition, Brazilian Central Bank has created PIX, a platform oriented to enable digital transfers 24/7 free for the user. The adoption of this platform has been a great success, especially among younger users, who popularise PIX with an unusual goal: flirting. Given that adaptive structuration theory (AST) states usages of technological artefacts diverse from the previously conceived, this chapter aims to discuss the adoption of micropayment platforms, remarking unplanned uses of the system by consumers. For this purpose, the authors analysed secondary data about the adoption of PIX and text mining focused on newspapers and magazine articles related to the use of PIX by the young.

This research examines the role of e-HRM (electronic Human Resources Management) in improving employee productivity in higher education. The goal of this empirical study is to confirm and examine this e-HRM usage in higher education. Adaptive structuration theory (AST) is used, to understand the role of e-HRM in improving employee productivity. social factors and technological characteristics interact to affect group outcomes. AST argues that technology usage provides social structures to engage employees in social interaction that both enable and constrain human action within the firm. Research models are analyzed using linear regression and the result is indeed finding a positive effect of e-HRM usage on employee productivity that supports AST. E-HRM can help to streamline operational HRM activities; accelerate HR processes; improve communication between stakeholders include existed employees, potential employees, and management; reduce administrative tasks and HR staff headcount; and capture, create and transfer some HR knowledge more accurately and speedily for employee training and development. These advantages can help to increase employee productivity.

Idea management system application considers idea quantity as the key to idea management success. The purpose of this paper is to examine how different idea management system application types impact idea management system results. The authors conducted empirical research by conducting a survey based on adaptive structuration theory framework. In the research paper, an analysis of 447 responses was included. The study shows how to separate idea management system application types impact by idea quantity The target group consisting of commercially available web-based idea management system applied enterprises bias present in the survey research may limit the generalisability of the results. The study contributes to the discussion about the idea management system application type impact on the idea management results by showing that different idea management system application types lead to different idea management results.

Micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) as one of the business sector which give significant contribution to national GDP have an average of more than 55% in the period 2008 to 2012 (BSN 2013), in addition, the role of food-based MSMEs is very important in providing adequate food availability for the community. Standardization is one of the strategies to increase competitiveness, especially in the free trade era. Standardization activities in the industry is proven by obtaining SNI certificates (Indonesian National Standards). This study aims to understand how the characteristics and evaluation of the nature of innovation towards MSME decisions to adopt SNI certification in the food sector. This quantitative research uses explanatory type method with an explanatory nature with associative nature because it wants to explain the influence between the variables tested. The results on evaluating the nature of innovation can be seen from the relative profit, the average respondent answers strongly agree on what they think of SNI or its products labelled SNI. Then on the level of complexity, respondents consider changes in infrastructure and adjustments to product standards. On marketing factors, respondents market their products through online media is 45,9% while marketing through offline media is 54%, one of which dominates them is through exhibitions or bazaars (15,3%). The conclude that there was no significant influence between the evaluation of the nature of innovation, namely the level of relative profitability, level of complexity and the level of observability with adoption of SNI certification. The factors that influence significantly SNI certification was adaptive structuration, they are rate of socialization and testimonial approach. .

Abstract: Go-Pay is a form of Fintech, which is currently a trend both in terms of equipment and business. Its practical, safe and easy use encourages people to use this service. Go-Pay is currently aspired to be a one-stop service application where users can order various types of services from just one application. The purpose of this study was to determine how the pattern of use of Go-Pay by Kedai Bakso and the factors that support and inhibit its use. To get these results, Adaptive Structuration Theory (AST) is used because the structure contained in this model can be modified according to the needs of the object under study In implementing fintech, there were needs that had arisen before the store manager finally decided to implement fintech. The decision was supported by offers from service providers, as well as information from fellow business actors. After implementing fintech, costs arise as a result of implementing services. So businesses need to make price adjustments to their products. In the end, businesses maintain services that benefit their business.   Keyword: fintech, payment, transaction, umkm
