This chapter reviews the need for critical thinking and analysis and the art of reasoning and looks at quantitative and qualitative research methodologies and the situations where they are appropriate. The chapter reviews the question of why the analysis required for business development is so critical. Why is gathering the information needed for business development more difficult than gathering information for information systems development? To understand these questions, it is necessary to review the range and complexity of the information required for business research and analysis. The internal performance data must be evaluated and the actual economic position of the organisation established. The critical value elements of the organisation's resources need to be identified and the competencies established. The competitive environment must be researched together with the external factors that impact the organization, and all the interactions that result must be evaluated.

Apesar do reconhecimento da variação linguística, os alunos consideram o seu nível de fala assertivo, mas admitem conviver em um espaço diversificado, marcado pelo o contexto das variações setoriais e socioeconômicas, que estão intimamente ligadas às atitudes preconceituosas que podem impactar no seu desenvolvimento escolar desencadeando uma série de problemas.---Abstract: Linguistic variations represent the different ways of speaking the language of a nation, considering that the standard language of a country is not homogeneous, constituting an inherent characteristic of all natural languages, reflecting the sociocultural and contextual differences during speech production by an individual. The contrast experienced by such differences brings with it structural problems such as linguistic prejudice that directly affects people's shares. In view of this, this research aimed to analyze linguistic prejudice in the school environment in the light of linguistic variations experienced in the daily school life of 2nd year high school classes. This study was configured as a descriptive quantitative and qualitative research, carried out with the 2nd year of high school classes at the Odorico Melo Reference School in the city of Parnamirim - PE, using the questionnaire as a data collection instrument, analyzed by the the inductive method. From this perspective, the results showed linguistic variations as a natural language process and that students can understand them, confirming their importance for the development of their communicative skills in the classroom, both in written and oral language, to the detriment of prejudice linguistic declared visible and inherent in the day-to-day in its school environment, as well as the mechanical teaching of the Portuguese language in a retrograde character. Despite the recognition of linguistic variation, students consider their level of speech assertive, but admit to living in a diverse space, marked by the context of sectorial and socioeconomic variations, which are closely linked to prejudiced attitudes that can impact their school development, triggering a series of problems.

Academy-Classroom model is the most recent program adopted by the Ministry of Education in Israel for trainee teachers’ practical training. One of the model’s primary goals is to bridge the gap between the needs and the reality of the school in connection with how academic institutions prepare their teachers. The study aimed to research the role performance in training teachers following the Academy-Classroom model’s implementation, compared to their role under previous training plans, and to explore whether changes had taken place. Forty-four training teachers within the academy class framework took part in the study. All of them had worked as training teachers in previous models. The research was conducted using a mixed quantitative and qualitative research methodology. The findings show a broader integration of the training teachers in the process of preparing and qualifying the trainee students. The results demonstrate a statistically significant increase in the training teachers’ role performance in social perspective, training with a focus on a subject matter guidance, mentoring students with an emotional approach, and personal responsibility for training and qualifying the trainee students. Academy-Classroom model has resulted in a paradigmatic shift in the training teachers’ role and work methods.

Abstract: The research methodology is a subject that has an essential role in completing the study. Even though students have received this course during the college period, many students still feel confused in determining the research method to complete their thesis, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. The School from Home learning system prevents students from meeting face to face and talking directly to the lecturer. So, it is important to innovate where students can ask freely about the problems of both quantitative and qualitative research methods. So, there needs innovative learning to solve it. Authors made an innovation called Tanya Egy, based on a website application for Question and Answer (Q&A) about research methodology problems, both quantitative or qualitative. The Tanya Egy application has been synchronized with SPEDOL (Economic Library Service System and Online Data), owned by the Department of Economic Development FE UM. In this application, there are also many lecturers with econometric expertise and lecturers with expertise in the field of qualitative research methods. So this feature is not only for students who are taking research methods but also for students who are preparing a thesis or students who are currently on the verge of confusion in completing their thesis. The result of this activity is that 23 students have used and asked questions online through the Ask Egy feature. As many as 80 percent of students said this feature was beneficial in completing their thesis.

This study aims to find a local economic development strategy based on agroindustry to increase Java’s agrotourism sustainable and robust local economy. The research methods used are descriptive quantitative and qualitative. Research respondents are the community, academic practitioners and government officials. The data used covers both external and internal factors that affect the local economy in an agrotourism area and which are then analyzed using SWOT. The results show that the main strength of agrotourism in the IFE matrix is its highly strategic geographical location. The weakness is the lack of planning and business development activity which could have potential economic value. In the EFE matrix, opportunities are the prospects for agrotourism development while the main threat is the community's low interest in business development. In the IE matrix, agrotourism development is found in cell V. This can be handled by maintaining strategies such as market penetration, and market and product development. The study concludes that the local economic development of the community in the agrotourism area can be implemented if the community, practitioners and government are integrated to support the strategy.
