A non-iterative design method about high order intermittent mechanisms is presented. The mathematical principle is that a compound function produced by two basic functions, and then one to three order derivatives of the compound function are all zeroes when one order derivative of each basic function is zero at the same moment. The design method is that a combined mechanism is constructed by six bars; the displacement functions of the front four-bar and back four-bar mechanisms are separately built, let one order derivatives of two displacement functions separately be zero at the same moment, and then get geometrical relationships and solution on the intermittent mechanism. A design example shows that this method is simpler and transmission characteristics are better than optimization method.

Objective: The purpose of the study was to estimate the pharmacokinetic parameters and calculate the precision (%RMSE) of the predicted lithium concentration equation.Methods: This research was studied from blood Lithium levels of Children who had visited Yuwaprasart Waithayopathum Child Psychiatric Hospital from 31 December 2009-1 January 2011 The accuracy and precision of the equation were evaluated by the mathematical principle. The assist package software (WIN-NONLIN) was used to create pharmacokinetic parameters.Results: Twenty-nine patients were recruited. The characteristics (mean+SD) presented as the following; age = 15.79+2.64 y, weight = 69.75+22.28 kg and the daily dose = 858.62+274.53 mg. The trough Lithium concentrations (mean+SD) = 0.56+19 mg/l. The kinetic parameter (Mean+SD) presented as the following; t1/2 =7.23+3.38 hr., ke =0.12+0.07 hr-1, Vd = 48.83+15.60 L, AUC0-12 =11.01+5.61 mg x hr/l. The population pharmacokinetic parameters; ke, and AUC (0-∞) = 0.151 hr-1 and 169.81, mg x hr./l respectively. The modified equation from Yukawa for lithium clearance calculation and prediction lithium concentrations were CL (mL/min) = [36.5+(0.242x BW (kg)-7.79]/Scr (mg/dL) and lithium concentration (mg/l) = 4 x Dose (mg)/CL (mL/min)x73.89, respectively with 6.39 %RMSE (test for 20 patients data).Conclusion: In conclusion, the modified Yukawa equation may be used for the prediction of lithium concentration with 6.39% RMSE.

In physiology, physics, mathematics, aesthetic theory and epistemology, Helmholtz intervened, and innovated. He contributed to the physiology of perception through work on the central nervous system, followed by work on optics and acoustics. He invented instruments, such as the opthalmoscope and introduced the mathematical principle of the conservation of energy to physics. For geometry, Helmholtz elaborated on the concept of an n-dimensional manifold. He secured the influence of the ‘Berlin physics’, introduced Faraday and Maxwell to Germany, refined the theory of electrodynamics and reflected on the role of discrete entities in physics. Having become the most influential representative of German science and its uncontested spokesperson, he repeated the importance of the connection between education and research and the necessity not to separate the natural sciences (Naturwissenschaften) from the social sciences (Geisteswissenschaften). This monumental body of work is experiencing a revival of interest today as historians of both science and culture consider it in a new light. But the question remains of how to characterize what we might call ‘the Helmholtz effect’ in philosophy. Why was Helmholtz equally influential not only on Cassirer, Husserl, Schlick, Meyerson and Freud, but also on the principal founders of contemporary physics; Einstein, Bohr and Heisenberg? To grasp this, we must understand the constant interaction between science and philosophy which characterized, even permitted, the extraordinary developments in mathematics, physics and physiology in Germany at that time. Here the connection between Helmholtz and Kant is fundamental, since ‘the Helmholtz effect’ transformed the Kantian heritage. Helmholtz did not write a systematic philosophical work, but in redefining fundamental epistemological concepts and constructing a large part of the conceptual structure in which both philosophy and relativistic and quantum physics developed during the early twentieth century, he modified the very problems of epistemology.

Many enzymes have been widely used in industrial production, for they have higher catalytic efficiency and catalytic specificity than the traditional catalysts. Therefore, the performance of enzymes has attracted wide attention. However, due to various factors, enzymes often cannot show their greatest catalytic efficiency and the strongest catalytic ability in industrial production. In order to improve the enzyme activity and specificity, people become increasingly interested in the transformation and modification of existing enzymes. For the structure modification of proteinase, this chapter introduces a computational method for modelling error-prone PCR. Error-prone PCR is a DNA replication process that intentionally introduces copying errors by imposing mutagenic reaction condition. We then conclude about the mathematical principle of error-prone PCR which may be applied to the quantitative analysis of directed evolution in future studies.

Captain S. T. L. Lecky, in his famous Wrinkles, wrote with derision in his reference to so-called ‘short-methods’. He warned his readers to ‘beware’ of these:They generally only look short [wrote Lecky] because good care is taken to apply the various corrections beforehand, and the unsuspecting reader is deceived of this device.As a case in point Lecky considered the ‘small but expensive pamphlet by Mr. Martelli’, to support his derogatory remarks:When his so-called ‘short-method’ is overhauled and compared with Raper, we get the following startling result:—Martelli, 56 figures and five logarithms, against Raper's 59 figures and five logarithms, required to produce the same result. So that by the first method we have the enormous (!!!) gain of three figures. Furthermore Mr. Martelli's pamphlet contains several glaring errors which makes one rather dubious about the general correctness of the tables, although (for all the writer (Lecky) knows to the contrary) the mathematical principle of his method may be correct enough.

When the number of group members changes, public feature key of the group manager must be changed. The deletion of group members is based on the mathematical principle that the secret feature key of each legitimate member will update with the group managers changing of public feature key. Cancel the update operator, create independent secret feature key for each legitimate member, so that the secret feature key of each legitimate member will be irrelevant to the group public feature key. This method can be used to improve the signature computational efficiency and to delete group members effectively.

Based on mathematical principle of function interpolation we design dominant and recessive auto electronic control system. In order to compare the performance of the two systems, we design a control experiment of automobile electronic signals for these two systems. The system adopts the CAN bus control, the wheel speed and door signal use the 0001-0100 signal channel to control, oil pressure and fault signal use the 0100-1111 signal channel to control. From the testing results of two systems, the dominant auto electronic control system occupies 8 channels, which is far from the theoretical value; and the recessive control occupies only 2 channels, which is accord with the theoretical value. It provides the technical support for the design of automotive electronic control system
