Abstract Thermal treatment, undertaken at just below the crystallization temperature, has led to nanocrystallization and has had a significant impact on the shape of the hyperfine field induction distributions of Fe62Co10Y8B20 alloy and on its soft magnetic properties. In the amorphous ferromagnetic alloys, it is possible to indirectly determine the effect of the structure stresses, resulting from the presence of structural defects, on the soft magnetic properties of these materials. It has been found that a change in the parameters associated with the presence of structural defects affects the shape of the hyperfine field distributions of 57Fe.

Abstract The crystalline ferromagnetic alloys are known as materials with excellent soft magnetic properties. These alloys have been intensive studied during last decades due to their mechanical and magnetic properties and they are challenge for scientists to extend research of these materials with the aim to broaden their technical applications. FeNi based alloys exhibit very good soft magnetic properties with near-to-zero magnetostriction. This property renders this material as a potential candidate for a differently of industrial applications.

The soft magnetic properties of Fe-6.5wt.%Si alloy powders produced via high pressure gas atomization under different powder sizes, environments (atmospheric and vacuum) and heat-treatment were presented by vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM), respectively. It is found that the soft magnetic properties of powder gradually grow up as the increasing of the powder size under atmospheric and vacuum environments. However, the using of vacuum environment has an optimal capacity to strengthening the properties rather than atmospheric environment. The heat-treatment of 1000°C for 2 hours offers considerable potential for improving the soft magnetic properties of the powders.

The films of heterogeneous systems based on ferromagnetic alloy and С were obtained by ion-beam sputtering. The concentration dependence of the resistance of composites was measured before and after heat treatment. The research of magnetostatic and magnetodynamic properties of heterogeneous metal-carbon showed that compounds (Co)Х(C)100-Х (Co40Fe40B20)Х(С)100-Х (Co45Fe45Zr10)Х(C)100-Х after the percolation threshold have good soft magnetic properties.
