The blue crab Callinectes sapidus Rathbun, 1896 (Crustacea: Decapoda: Portunidae) is firstly recorded from the state of Sergipe, NE Brazil, filling a gap in the species distribution along Brazilian coast.

We present the first record of Odontophrynus carvalhoi for the state of Alagoas, Brazil, and a distribution map for this species. This new record represents the nearest location to the Brazilian coast known for this species.

This article provides a new record for Enyalius bibronii from municipality of Tenente Laurentino Cruz, state of Rio Grande do Norte, northeastern Brazil. The collection site is located in a mountain forest enclave belonging to the Caatinga domain. This record extends the species distribution towards central region of the state.

We report a new record for the South American coati, Nasua nasua (Linnaeus, 1766), based on a specimen from Sierra de Perijá, Zulia state, western Venezuela. This specimen represents the first record of the species for the state, increasing to 192 the number of mammals reported for Zulia. It also extends the species distribution in about 245 km northwest from the nearest known locality in Venezuela, and about 80 km from the nearest locality in Colombia.

We present the first record of Ambidexter symmetricus Manning & Chace, 1971 for the state of Rio Grande do Norte, northeastern Brazil, filling a distribution gap of this species in the country. We confirm the preference of this species for seagrass meadows in the Curimataú river estuary. Lastly, a brief overview and an updated distribution map for the records of this species on the Brazilian coast are provided.

Rhinella mirandaribeiroi is widely distributed in the Cerrado domain and Cerrado enclaves in the Amazon forest, occurring also at the ecotone between this domain and surrounding formations. Here, we provide the first species record for the state of São Paulo, municipality of São Joaquim da Barra, northeast of the state. Additionally, we also provide a distribution map. This new record fills a gap in the species´ distribution in southeastern Brazil.

Herein is reported the first record of Trechona venosa (Araneae, Dipluridae) for the state of Minas Gerais. The previous records are restricted to a maximum range of about 50 km from the Atlantic Ocean coast, in the states of Rio de Janeiro and Espírito Santo. The new record extends the species distribution to 200 km far from coast.

The species Callinectes sapidus is reported for the first time in the state of Rio Grande do Norte, Northeastern Brazil. In Brazil, this species is only known from the state of Rio Grande do Sul to the state of Paraíba. In this work, one more gap about the distribution of this species was discovered. Samplings were gathered in two localities: Cavalos River and Ceará-mirim River, north and east coast of Rio Grande do Norte, respectively. This new record increases information about the singular distribution of this species, known for being the only species of Callinectes with disjoint distribution in the Americas.
