As a generalization of Fourier transform, the fractional Fourier Transform (FRFT) contains simultaneity the time-frequency information of the signal, and it is considered a new tool for time-frequency analysis. This paper discusses some steps of FRFT in signal detection based on the decomposition of FRFT. With the help of the property that a LFM signal can produce a strong impulse in the FRFT domain, the signal can be detected conveniently. Experimental analysis shows that the proposed method is effective in detecting LFM signals.

Ship detection in panchromatic optical remote sensing images is faced with two major challenges, locating candidate regions from complex backgrounds quickly and describing ships effectively to reduce false alarms. Here, a practical method was proposed to solve these issues. Firstly, we constructed a novel visual saliency detection method based on a hyper-complex Fourier transform of a quaternion to locate regions of interest (ROIs), which can improve the accuracy of the subsequent discrimination process for panchromatic images, compared with the phase spectrum quaternary Fourier transform (PQFT) method. In addition, the Gaussian filtering of different scales was performed on the transformed result to synthesize the best saliency map. An adaptive method based on GrabCut was then used for binary segmentation to extract candidate positions. With respect to the discrimination stage, a rotation-invariant modified local binary pattern (LBP) description was achieved by combining shape, texture, and moment invariant features to describe the ship targets more powerfully. Finally, the false alarms were eliminated through SVM training. The experimental results on panchromatic optical remote sensing images demonstrated that the presented saliency model under various indicators is superior, and the proposed ship detection method is accurate and fast with high robustness, based on detailed comparisons to existing efforts.

Sliding Discrete Fourier Transform (SDFT) is very efficient regarding computational load and it possesses a very fast phase angle detection with excellent harmonic rejection at nominal frequency. However, at off-nominal frequency, SDFT generates errors in both magnitude and phase angle due to spectral leakage. This paper introduces a workaround for Fourier Transform to handle this disability under off-nominal frequency while avoiding variable-rate sampling. Sliding Fourier Transform (SFT) is used as a phase detector for a phase-locked loop whose output frequency is used to drive the SFT. The paper revisits the mathematics of Fourier Transform (FT) in a three-phase setting via a time-domain approach to show a newly proposed filtering technique for the double-frequency oscillation just by summing the FT sine/cosine filter outputs of the three individual phases. Also, the analysis aims to determine and correct the phase and magnitude errors under offnominal frequency operation. The proposed technique (SFT-PLL) is tested in real time on dSPACE DS1202 DSP using voltage vectors that are pregenerated to simulate the most adverse grid conditions. The testing scenarios compare the performance of the SFT-PLL with that of the Decoupled Stationary Reference Frame PLL (dαβPLL). The results prove that SFT-PLL is superior to dαβPLL.

This paper presents a discharge inspection method based on new active inverter feedback discharge after comparison with the check discharge from pure resistance of power station batteries. A new active inverter system has been developed with SPWM pulse width modulation technology, which is based on DC/DC circuitry, along with a three-phase full bridge inverter and control topology circuits. In addition, the principle for selecting the parameters of RCL elements of the system has been analyzed. This paper also presents a detection method combining active detection with passive detection for the islanding effect which exists in the grid-connected discharge system, according to the islanding effect of grid-connected discharge equipment, so as to stably discharge without interference on the grid.
