This chapter reviews the infusion of technology tools such as the integration of computers into programs like simulation to promote higher cognitive skills among engineering undergraduates. With the constant change of technology and education, it is necessary to refine the current teaching and learning process to not only promote understanding but also to create room for engineering undergraduates to process the information with higher-order cognitive skills. The authors examine the evolution of engineering education against the backdrop of the problems faced in the learning environments and the technological trends in engineering curriculum. To this end, the authors propose strategies to promote higher-order cognitive skills among engineering undergraduates based on the evolution of technology in engineering as well as the challenges faced in the implementation of such tools in teaching and learning.

The purpose of this Workshop is to help teachers with regard to improving teaching and learning activities and school management and their implementation in the 2013 curriculum in Elementary Schools. Participants in this activity were elementary school teacher representatives in Limbangan Village, Sukaraja District, Sukabumi Regency and all KKN students in Limbangan Village, Sukaraja District, Sukabumi District. The workshop was conducted in 3 stages, namely the prefix stage, the core stage, and the final stage. The results obtained after the workshop were the commitment of teachers to implement MBS in the learning process with the 2013 curriculum in their respective schools. The difficulties experienced by teachers related to the development of learning evaluation in the 2013 curriculum. In this workshop, it was also found the fact that most teachers indirectly applied MBS in their respective schools.

Far reaching changes in university higher education have taken place in the last ten years. Different factors, e.g. necessity of on-professional competences in engineering education, rising or vast student numbers and new technical possibilities, have influenced the academic teaching and learning process. Therefore interdependence between requirements and didactical-educational possibilities is given. Because of changed circumstances an adaption of teaching methods and concepts is required. At the same time Bologna arrogates students to be placed in the centre of the teaching and learning process and claims on-professional competences for today's students. Especially for XL-Classes this is a specific challenge. One of the questions ensuing is how to increase learning success by the use of specific didactical methods? With a research approach connecting different proven didactical concepts and considering the previously shown conditions, the concept of the lecture ?communication and organizational development (KOE) at RWTH Aachen University has been redesigned. This lecture, organized by the Institute Cluster IMA/ZLW & IfU at RWTH Aachen University, is mainly frequented by up to nearly 1.300 students of the faculty of mechanical engineering and inherent part of the bachelor-curriculum. The following practical example prospects the multi-angulation of didactical concepts and shows up innovative educational teaching.
