Factors for acquiring writing and ways of learning and teaching its skills (handwriting, dictation and written expression)

Writing is the pride of the human mind throughout its long history, as it is a symbol of its humanity and the title of its civilization and its memory and its history. Writing is one of the means of communication by which a person can express his thoughts and feelings, and records what he would like to record of incidents, facts and information, in order to preserve them from oblivion and disappearance. We will address in this research paper writing in two main axes; The first is an introduction to writing, the factors helping to acquire it, the stages of its learning, and methods of teaching it. As for the second axis, we will dedicate it to writing skills, each skill separately. handwriting, spelling and written expression, in terms of definition and teaching methods, as well as weaknesses in some of them and the reasons for that.

New methods for new needs? Analysis of the study plans in Social Work from the perspective of graduates: the case of the University of La Laguna

The purpose of the research is to analyze the opinions of the graduates in Social Work of the University of La Laguna about their Study Plan, in order that it can serve to evaluate, improve and update this and other curricula of the discipline in other university centres. This work has a descriptive quantitative method and used a questionnaire for data collection, with 102 participants and statistical treatment with SPSS. The main results show a great demand to adjust, firstly, the teaching methods of the teaching staff to the new needs of their students, and secondly, the subjects and contents with the current social realities. Likewise, it points towards a disconnection between university-society, reflected in the problems derived from curricular practices and the application of workshops with external professionals and real practical cases as two of the favourites activities as content of practical classes. Therefore, studies in Social Work in Spain must remain in constant review so as not to be outdated, since social reality, its object of study and analysis, is an element in constant change.

Moroccan University Students' Ability in Comprehending Argumentative Listening and Descriptive Listening Discourses: Meknes and kenitra as a Case Study

The students' comprehension of listening texts in different types of discourse is mandatory at the university level. However, Moroccan university students still find difficulties when listening to some types of discourse, especially the argumentative and the descriptive ones. Admittedly, knowing about the hindrances that students face while listening to different types of discourse will pave the way for teachers to improve their teaching methods concerning listening skills. The objective of this study is to measure the Moroccan university students' ability to comprehend argumentative and descriptive listening texts and whether there is a correlation between the two types of discourse. Tests are used as data collection instruments that were assigned to 92 Moroccan Semester 4 students studying in education professional BA degree in the school of Art and Humanities Moulay Ismail University in Meknes, Ibn Tofail University in Kenitra as well as ENS (Ecole National Supérieure) in Meknes. The findings state that there is a significant difference between descriptive and argumentative listening ability as well as a significant positive correlation between the two sets of data.

E-learning: Introducing Computer Use in Mathematics Lessons in Primary Education

The aim of this paper is to identify and analyze the role that the use of the computer has in stimulating the logical thinking of young schoolchildren. Through this, the purpose of the activity of solving operations with natural numbers, is to develop logical thinking, properly combining intuitive elements with abstract ones. Solving arithmetic problems, we can activate young students in the formation of skills and abilities to analyze the given situation, to intuit and discover the way to get what is required in the mathematical problem. This paper aims to prove that, if both traditional methods and computer-based teaching methods are used in the instructive-educational process, then school performance will register a significant increase in terms of quantity and quality. This experimental study started from the premise that solving arithmetic problems with the help of computer, using e-learning platforms is an important activity in the mathematics lesson in primary school through which we stimulate young students’ logical thinking.

Current Issues of the Motivation Concept in the Instructive-Educational Process with Minor – Pupils

The age where we live is dominated by the strong expansion of science and technology in all fields of activity and the continuous acceleration of people's pace of life. These characteristics of contemporaneity have direct consequences on the preparation of the young generation, which must cope with both the current requirements of society and further social development. Firstly, the rapid increase in the volume of information in all areas, the accelerated fatigue of knowledge requires the continuous adaptation of school objectives, content, forms and teaching methods to this information dynamic.Secondly, the new rhythm of life that demands the man in an increasingly intense measure, from a social, cultural and professional point of view, also affects the pupil.

Evaluating Dental Faculty’s Perspective regarding Emergency Introduction of Online Teaching and Learning: Early Experience during COVID-19 Lockdown in United States

Objectives. The March 2020 lockdown mandated institution closures and forced educators to provide remote instruction. We intended to gain an in-depth and holistic understanding of dental faculty’s experience and perceptions during this mandatory shift. Insights were gathered in 6 key areas: prior remote instruction experience; magnitude of transition and frequency of instruction methods used; training received; preferred teaching methods based on how they promote student learning, interaction, engagement, and performance; social impact; and future of teaching. Methods. An anonymous QualtricsXM survey was distributed to all dental faculties at University of Detroit Mercy in May 2020. Data was collected over a three-week period and analyzed using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) Statistics 26 (IBM; Armonk, New York, USA). Pearson chi-squared test and Fisher’s exact test were used to evaluate categorical data. Results. Out of the 30 participants who transitioned to online remote instruction, 16 (53.3%) reported an age between 30 and 49 years and 14 (46.7%) reported ≥50 years of age. Our analysis revealed that faculty in 30–49-year age range had no prior online synchronous teaching experience. The transition was described as interesting, useful, time-consuming, and challenging. In-person live teaching received highest number of first place rankings (50%), and online asynchronous method received highest number of last place rankings (42.86%). Faculties in >50 year age range expressed maximum satisfaction with online small-group discussions, and those in 30–49 years age group were more satisfied with one-on-one online discussion. Conclusion. Our study finds that the faculty tends to gravitate to online methods that are similar to or mimic their past in-person teaching environment. Forced remote instruction gave new content delivery experiences to faculties of all ranges of age and experience in teaching. This exposure is likely to result in a more widespread adoption of a variety of instructional methods in future. Our study strongly suggests that traditional in-person instruction is the preferred method for delivery of content and is likely better for student learning. Majority of the faculties believed that the future of dental education would be a mix of both in-class and online instruction. In summer and fall 2021, our institution adopted hybrid, flexible models for didactic instruction to allow students the opportunity to digest content in their preferred method. Careful planning and systematic, continued training will be required to enhance technological skills and to incorporate newer models into didactic and clinical instruction. For the success of blended learning, courses will need redesigning of assessment methods, commitment, and support from administrators.

BOOSTING STUDENTS’ MOTIVATION IN THE PROCESS OF STUDYING PRACTICAL COURSE OF THE GERMAN LANGUAGE DURING DISTANCE LEARNING

The article considers the question of boosting motivation of language specialty students during distance learning. The problem of increasing students’ motivation during distance learning is complex, completely unresolved and relevant. It is closely related to the questions of lesson organization and conducting, ways of intensifying students’ cognitive activities in the study group, the ability to provide constructive support and exchange views on different topics. The purpose of the given article is to check on the basis of the obtained practical results what means and methods can increase students’ motivation in the process of studying practical course of the German language. It is established that the crucial prerequisite for successful online learning is a conscious consideration of the motivational factor and the ability to manage it throughout the learning process. The effective factors of online lessons are indicated in the paper: well-selected and prepared material, teaching methods tested by experience and based on technical tools on various educational platforms, selected, structured and appropriately used content, forms and teaching aids. The means and methods of boosting students’ motivation in the process of studying Practical course of the German language are analyzed, considering the specific nature of this subject. It is established that the implementation of the conceptual ideas of education is carried out with the help of information technology, which is based on the fundamental didactic principles – activation, autonomy, constructiveness and a special role is paid to the whole study group. The functions and tasks of the tutor, his role in the formation of a sense of group unity in order to intensify students’ activities during distance learning are revealed. Effective Ways for College Students’ Mental Health Education Based on Music Therapy

Music therapy plays a very important role in college students’ mental health education. As a marginal subject, music therapy combines music, medicine, and psychology, which is beneficial to alleviate students' bad emotions and psychological problems and help college students form a sound personality. In the process of teaching in colleges and universities, it is necessary to choose teaching methods that are closer to students’ real life so as to promote the healthy development of college students’ psychology. From the relevant investigation and analysis, college students are interested in learning music, which provides an effective basis for college students to use music to treat psychological problems. Good policies, conditions, and a broad mass base are conducive to the application of music therapy in college mental health education. The application of music therapy in the field of college students’ mental health also broadens the application field of music. This paper analyzes the application of music therapy in college students’ mental health education and probes into the effective ways for college students’ mental health education.
