In the Ob river floodplain between the mouths of its tributaries Vakh and Tym (within the limits of Aleksandrovskiy district of Tomsk region), phytocoenoses belonging to 9 associations and 2 communities of Braun-Blanquet classification vegetation classes are listed. Class Lemnetea is represented by associations Ricciocarpetum natantis (Segal 1963) Tx. 1974, Lemnetum trisulcae Soó 1927, Stratiotetum aloidis Miljan 1933; class Potametea is done by associations Potametum perfoliati Koch 1926, Myriophylletum sibirici Taran 1998, Myriophylletum verticillati Soó 1927, Potametum graminei Koch 1926, Potametum pectinati Carstensen 1955, Nymphoidetum peltatae (All. 1922) Bellot 1951, as well as Sagittaria natans and Potamogeton natans—Ceratophyllum demersum communities. The syntaxa distribution in Western Siberia and adjoining territories is characterized.

Infection of the fish with trematode metacercariae of the genus Posthodiplostomum in rivers in the southern regions of the Tomsk region are presented. In this study it was shown that the abundance trematode metacercariae of the genus Posthodiplostomum is statistically significantly higher in fish in the Ob river in comparison with the Tom river. The assumption is put forward that the appearance of this parasite on the territory of the Tomsk Region is associated with the expansion to the north of the area of the gray heron Area cinereal, which is the final host of trematodes of the genus Posthodiplostomum.

This article is devoted to assessing the productivity of grass communities in the Malaya Sosva River floodplain (Reserve "Malaya Sosva"). The three-year studies (1986-1988) at six sample plots (SP) were conducted. The main goal was to evaluate the productivity and its relationship with hydrological and meteorological factors. The method of N.F. Khramtsova was used [1974], which allows to avoiding disturbance of vegetation on the SP, as well as performing statistical data processing. The obtained results reflected the close relationship of productivity with soil moisture, connecting to the position in the relief – aboveground biomass increases to the Malaya Sosva River. At the same time, the increase in biomass has a weak relationship with meteorological factors (temperature and precipitation), despite the weather contrasting seasons. The grass communities show relative stability by significant fluctuations in hydrological and weather conditions in different years. There is an inverse correlation between productivity and biodiversity. A similar trend was observed for the flood plain of the Ob River. But there is a significant range of values in the Ob River floodplain due to the extended flooding.

Classification of well drained meadow communities occurring on the left-bank part of the Ob River, Tomsk region (southern boreal and hemiboreal subzones) is made according to the Braun-Blanquet approach. Polydominant grass meadows predominate on this territory (alliance Festucion pratensis, class Molinio-Arrhenatheretea). Steppe meadows are found in the southern part of the region. The overgrazing variants of plant communities belong to the association Trifolio pratensis—Festucetum valesiacae (alliance Trifolion montani). The Alliance Festucion valesiacae (class Festuco-Brometea) includes extrazonal steppe meadows on the southern slopes of ravines. The Class Mulgedio-Aconitetea represents the tall-forbs communities which are rare in the forest zone.

During 1988—1991 the stands of Cypero-Limoselletum (Oberd. 1957) Korneck 1960 were studied in the floodplain of middle Ob River between its tributaries Tym and Vakh. There the association is represented by subass. C.-L. rumicetosum ucranici Taran 1994 with facies limosellosum aquaticae, physcomitrellosum patentis, salicosum triandro-viminalis, rumicosum ucranici, coleanthosum subtilis and subass.C.-L. coleanthetosum Taran 1994 with facies typicum, callitrichosum palustris, eleocharitosum acicularis, filaginellosum pilularis. The duration of developing cycle of the association stands is about 9—12 weeks and yearly frequency of their successful appearance realized in perfect seed maturation is about 35 %. The near mouth internal deltas (shors) of Ob tributaries are the refugia of Coleanthus subtilis (Poaceae) stationary populations and natural prototypes of Central Europian fish ponds where Coleanthus subtilis have kept safe during many centuries because of extensive «three-year» system of fish pond management. It proposed to declare the near mouth shor in lower reachs of Lar’yogan River as protected territory. It is produced 60 releves of the association stands.
