Multimedia-based technologies have significant impact on our daily life learning activities as they have shifted the education from teacher centered to learner centered. E-learning provides opportunities to people to take course online and provide a virtual classroom environment on the web through teacher learner interactions, course material distribution based on interactive multimedia. Interactive multimedia offers learners different forms of media to match their learning style, provides personalization of adaptive content delivery which enhanced learners learning effectiveness. In this chapter, we have discussed how information quality can be improved by multimedia based authoring tools and approaches, also identified the negative and positive effects of using interactive multimedia for learners in E-learning. Finally, focus was given on current E-learning multimedia technologies, their research challenges and future trends on social networking based technologies.

Class, gender, ethnicity, and sexuality are increasingly recognized as complex constructs of varied forms of identity. We now tend to speak of learner identities in the plural rather than learner identity in the singular. In this context, issues of sexual diversity intersect with those of cultural and linguistic diversity. The ESL classroom is one place where learners should not feel shy or afraid to explore and negotiate their identities, including their sexual identities. To help them in this process, teachers can provide a safe classroom environment where learners can discover what options are available to them.

This paper is based on a study conducted to develop an insight into the problems that arise in an ESL classroom due to the lack of awareness in teachers about learning disabilities. It focuses on the importance of professional training for ESL teachers before they start teaching. The population of the research included primary school students, members of the administrative staff, ESL teachers of four primary level schools of Lahore and a number of diagnosed students suffering from one or more learning disabilities. The tools used for data collection included four questionnaire surveys designed specifically to cater the target population. The research concluded that teachers should have sufficient knowledge about learning disabilities. They should be given professional training and awareness about learning disabilities before they start teaching. Moreover, they should be able to identify disabled students and cater their special needs, so these students can enjoy a motivating learning experience. Some features that should be included in teachers’ training are suggested at the end of this research.

ABSTRACT This research produced a product of the development of Lenggok Mak Inang dance learning through interactive multimedia which included appreciation learning material (Basic Competence 3) and expression (Basic Competence 4) in class X of SMK / SMA. The appreciation material contains the definition of dance, accompaniment music, clothing, patterns, while the expression material contains terms, variety and arrangement of motion in the Lenggok Mak Inang dance. From the test media experts got a score of 4,42 (Very Good), media experts got a score of 4 (Good), user trials which included an initial field trial of 4,08 (Good), main field trial 4,22 ( Very Good) and an operational field trial of 4,53 (Very Good). The results obtained indicate that the development of interactive multimedia learning Lenggok Mak Inang dance is very feasible to use or be used as a learning media for dance.                                                                                    Keywords: Interactive Multimedia, E-Learning, Lenggok Mak Inang Dance.  ABSTRAKPenelitian ini menghasilkan produk pengembangan pembelajaran tari Lenggok Mak Inang melalui multimedia interaktif yang didalamnya terdapat materi pembelajaran apresiasi (Kompetensi Dasar 3) dan ekspresi (Kompetensi Dasar 4) kelas X SMK/SMA. Materi apresiasi berisikan definisi tari, musik pengiring, busana, pola/ garis, sedangkan materi ekspresi berisikan istilah, ragam dan susunan gerak pada tari Lenggok Mak Inang. Dari uji ahli media mendapatkan skor 4,42 (Sangat Baik), ahli media mendapatkan skor 4 (Baik), uji coba pengguna yang meliputi uji coba lapangan awal 4,08 (Baik), uji coba lapangan utama 4,22 (Sangat Baik) dan uji coba lapangan operasional 4,53 (Sangat Baik). Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan multimedia interaktif pembelajaran tari Lenggok Mak Inang ini Sangat Layak digunakan atau dijadikan media pembelajaran tari. Kata kunci: Multimedia Interaktif, E-Learning, Tari Lenggok Mak Inang.
