This paper investigates how Japanese mathematics teachers produce and share didactic knowledge together. It is a case study of a post-lesson reflection meeting so-called open lesson. The crucial idea of this study is the dialectic between the specific and generic level of foci of the participants’ reflections about the observed teaching practice; namely, about applied teacher’s specific didactic technique for achieving a specific mathematical goal, and more general pedagogical issues such as realisation of the objectives of mathematics education. This dialectic is mediated by the meso-level notion of mathematical activity, described in the guidelines for Japanese national curriculum. The application of the scale of levels of didactic co-determination, provided by the anthropological theory of the didactic into the analysis shows in what way the dialectic interplay between the teachers’ comments with focus of the specific and generic levels influences the development and establishment of the Japanese teachers’ shared professional scholarship.

The theoretical construct provides the structure of multiplication and division concepts into a single conceptual field - that of multiplicative structures. The research is qualitative in nature, anchored in the Case Study method falling on the acts of mediation of a teacher of the 5th year of elementary school in a public school in São Luís, Maranhão. The field research was conducted in the months of October and November 2015. The data were collected by observation of three classes previously planned by the teacher observed. The findings of this investigative foray point to the lack of focused work for the conceptual aspects of the multiplication and division operations , as well as reveal the prominence of symbolization at the expense of conceptualisation. The conclusions derived from this investigative foray intertwine aspects of training and teaching practice, in that it encompasses the broad repertoire  concerning the interaction, communication, language and affection, beyond the range of technical skills and propagate knowledge in the areas of training also model the acts of teaching mediation during personal and professional history of teachers. Keywords: Situations multiplicative. AbstractIn this study, we address the issue of mathematics teachers' personal and professional responsiveness to changing circumstances, such as the shift in external demands made on teacher practice due to the COVID-19 pandemic. For investigating a such delicate issue, we take a theoretical approach, which is quite novel in the field of mathematics education: Lacan's psychoanalytical lens. Specifically, we will use this psychoanalytical lens to analyze a case study focusing on a primary school teacher during the first lockdown in Italy, during which school was organized exclusively in the form of distance education. The analysis of the teacher’s crisis and the strategies she adopted to overcome this crisis give some suggestions about possible directions and issues to consider for future mathematics teacher training proposals.

This study aims to describe the implementation of pedagogical content knowledge (PCK) of mathematics teachers in the teaching practice of the material system of linear equations of two variables (SLETV). The approach used is a qualitative case study. The main instrument is the researchers themselves and the supporting instruments is a vignette sheet, sheet Content Representation (CoRe), and video tape recorders (Handycam). Research procedure includes providing vignette sheets and sheets of CoRe, making instructional videos and conducting the interview. Data were analyzed using frameworks Karahasan. The results showed that the subject 1 (S1) found that the implementation of the PCK S1 when teaching increased from PCK S1 prior to the implementation of the teaching practice, while the subject 2 (S2) found that the implementation of the PCK S2 upon teaching declined from PCK S2 prior to the implementation of the teaching practice.

As creating and critiquing arguments becomes more of a focus in mathematics classes, teachers need to develop their abilities to facilitate collective arguments. Many mathematics education researchers find Toulmin's (1958/2003) model of argumentation to be useful in analyzing arguments, raising the question of whether mathematics teachers would find it useful as well. We introduced the model to prospective secondary mathematics teachers and asked them to analyze arguments using it. We found that the prospective teachers developed an appropriate understanding of what collective argumentation looks like in the classroom, and the model provided them a lens for analyzing teaching practice. This suggests the use of Toulmin's model is a promising step in helping prospective teachers develop their conceptions of collective argumentation.

It is of critical importance, in particular, for mathematics teachers who will teach future generations to understand and do mathematical proofs. It is important to determine future teachers' beliefs about and difficulties with proofs because their knowledge of this issue affects their teaching. This study aims to determine and compare the proof schemes of prospective mathematics teachers from two state universities, one in Turkey and the other in Spain. The case study was conducted within this study. The participants were 51 prospective teachers at their second year from the department of teaching mathematics education at Huelva University in Spain and 45 prospective teachers from the department of teaching mathematics education at Cumhuriyet University in Turkey. The Proof Test consisted of four questions about proofs for parallelograms. Semi-structured interviews were subsequently conducted to investigate the prospective teachers’ responses in-depth. The findings suggest that prospective teachers from Turkey and Spain indicated affinity in proving. The majority of the prospective mathematics teachers were either unable to complete the proof or completed the proof in an inaccurate way.

One of phenomena that occur in the educational world is the issue of discrepancies that occur between theory the pre-service teacher learned in college with implementation when they should teach in thereal fields (schools). Problem Based Learning (PBL) becomes one of the efforts to bridge the existing problems. This research is conducted to find out the extend of Problem Based Learning (PBL) in Micro Teaching course since the course must be accomplished by students before carrying out practical activities in the real field in the school at teaching training program. The writer uses descriptive qualitative method. And in this research the writer uses case study as a research design to find out the purpose of the research. The participants of the the research are 8 students from a class of micro teaching course in English Department of Universitas Swadaya Gunung Jati. In this paper, The Students as the Pre Service Teacher(s) are coded PST(s). The writer uses observation as the instruments of the research. Theory of Miles and Huberman are used to collect data from observation. Regarding to the discussion above, the four aspects of competences of effective teacher are shown in the teaching practice done by the students of Micro teaching course that apply Problem Based Learning (PBL). The majority results of the observation explain that applying Problem Based Learning in Micro Teaching course develops pre-service teachers competence in their teaching in classroom. This research shows pre-service teachers can integrate their competences and create good performance in their teaching practice.
