Minerals content of Citrus jambhiri (rough lemon) fruit was qualitatively and quantitatively analyzed using atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS) and flame atomic emission spectrometry (FAES). The peel, moisture and ash contents of rough lemon were found to be 18.35%, 23.75% and 2.04% respectively. Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) of rough lemon juice was found to be 70.0 mg/100 g. The chemical composition of essential oil of rough lemon peel was determined. The major compound was found to be limonene (84.5%) followed by sabinene, β-myrcene, α-terpineol, 1,3-tetradecadiene and linalool.

The chemical composition of surface and ground water of the site of the underground nuclear explosion “Crystal” in 2019 is discussed. Methods of atomic emission spectrometry, titrimetry and capillary electrophoresis are used in the work. The content of uranium is determined by mass–spectrometry on inductively coupled plasma. The direct correlation between contents of uranium and sulphates anions probably indicates of degradation of the cement filling of the emplacement hole.

Mineral waters are important sources of micro- and macroelements for humans, thus its composition ought to be supported with good knowledge on their chemical composition and be controlled systematically. The aim of the study was to analyze the content of common inorganic cations in 9 Romanian and 9 Polish bottled waters, and compare the results of the analyses with the product label’s data. The novelty was the application of new analytical method (atomic emission spectrometry with microwave plasma) for this approach. A short chemometric evaluation of the obtained results was carried out, highlighting in many cases significant differences between the values declared by the producers and the obtained results; possible reasons of this situation are discussed.

The paper presents new data on the chemical composition of the water of Lake Beloye (FSFI «NP «Meshera», Ryazan region) for 2018, which supplement those obtained earlier – in 2013, 2014 and 2016. The choice of the method of analysis is justified – AES (OES) -ISP, as express and highly sensitive. The obtained data characterize the elemental composition of the Lake water, and are also ecological information for the state of the natural object. According to the available observations, it can be said that at present the waters of Lake Beloe are completely defined as «clean» by quality.
