In order to avoid the operation accidents of power system caused by the influences of various artificial or nature factors, the paper explored the early warning of characteristic parameters on power system based on embedded system. In the paper, it taken a 110kV substation as an example, studied on therelated algorithm of the electric characteristic parameters, constructed the hardware and software platformbased on embedded microprocessor, and designed the hardware circuit and software control program. The commissioning test demonstrated that it could accurately judge the latent fault of related devices, and send correctly the trip command to make the isolation between the fault device and the power system so as to protect the system from being damaged. The experiment results show that it is effective and available to early warning of power system.

Pulse wave velocity (PWV) and arterial stiffness index (ASI) are considered as the independent predictors of cardiovascular morbidity and mortality — the effective methods to assess arterial stiffness. A portable noninvasive arterial elasticity detecting system (PNAEDS) was developed based on embedded microprocessor unit. This system can simultaneously measure PWV, ASI and other arteriosclerosis critical risk factors. Algorithm of main critical risk factors and design of the system were described in detail. To verify the performance of the PNAEDS, laboratory prospective validation and clinical trial were launched. Reliability of the system and superiority of improved PWV algorithm were validated in laboratory prospective validation. Subsequently, the authors implemented a comparative clinical trial (60 subjects) between measured values obtained by the PNAEDS and carotid intima-media thickness (IMT) value that Doppler ultrasonography measured. Clinical testing results revealed that the measurement with the PNAEDS was consistent with the measurement with the Doppler ultrasonography. In summary, the system may be used to reliably determine the arteriosclerosis critical risk factors and to the early diagnosis and prevention of cardiovascular disease.

According to the developmental trend of modern automobile instrument, this paper puts forward a multifunctional digital instrument based on the embedded Linux system. The digital instrument panel consists of embedded microprocessor and contact screen, and it could not only receive and process all kinds of driving information from peripheral interface and display the results on the LCD, but also has the function of aided parking. This paper proposes an integrated design solution for the digital instrument. The design selects the TI’s TMS320DM355, which includes LCD and contact screen module, CAN bus module, LIN bus module, video-in and audio-out. The digital instrument can receive real-time data, and also process the data and store it in the RAM and display all vehicle operating parameters in the LCD and realizes real time monitoring in backing up. Based on the experiment, it is proved that the designed system reaches the primary design specifications.

Oil and gas resource as the most important part of energysource compositionits in China, its seismic exploration and development has great significance. And this requires development of new generation of high-precision digital telemetry seismograph. Shared memory, the common telecommunication mode between Linux processes becomes the preferred interaction means between applications of seismic exploration for its controlled capacity and speedy interaction rate. This article describes the stacked power station being constructed by the embedded microprocessor PPC405 and FPGA chip, as well as the transplantation of U-boot, Kernel and file system, the development of inter-process communication application on basis of shared memory, and finally the network interaction of telemetering digital seismic power station.
