Research studies surrounding feedback primarily centered on frameworks designed as models for delivering feedback as well as the timing for delivering feedback. In addition, past research has also focused on individual elements that affect performance with little regard to environmental elements. This case study provides an overview of how a nurse educator utilized a performance analysis approach to providing feedback to nursing students during clinical rotations. A list of performance standards was provided to students at various checkpoints during their clinical rotation. Strategies are shared for improving the type of feedback used in healthcare settings.

This paper aims to explore the effectiveness of an Importance–Performance Analysis approach to assess destination image. It focuses on the image of the UK for Chinese students studying in the country. This is because the destination image of a certain country for a homogenous group, such as Chinese students, has not been studied enough, and this specific market is central for the UK, especially its education and tourism sector. In total, 23 attributes were examined, and each was found in one of the five quadrants. Two attributes related to the environmental aspect of the UK were found in the Competitive Attributes quadrant. These attributes are key strengths of the UK in relation to Chinese students’ images of the country. Three attributes placed in the Keep Up Good Work quadrant are associated with British culture and heritage. This signifies that the UK should keep utilising these resources to improve Chinese students’ images of the nation. Fourteen attributes were identified in the Concentrate Here quadrant. These attributes include essential elements of tourism such as local cuisine and transportation. Their roles are vital in enhancing the image of the UK for Chinese students, but more efforts must be made to this end.

Prefabrication has drawn wide attention in China during the last decade. However, the market share of prefabricated buildings in China remains comparatively low. The Importance-Performance Analysis approach is employed in this study to investigate the crucial risk factors associated with prefabricated buildings in China. A preliminary list of risks associated with prefabricated buildings in China was developed based on a critical literature review, which was consequently refined by the interview with related experts. A questionnaire survey was then conducted with selected industry professionals to solicit their expert opinions of critical risks associated with prefabricated buildings in China. Findings show that attention should be paid to the following risks: improper decomposition system, low level of factory management, incompetent quality assurance system, deviation in specification of prefabricated components, defects of component system, missing catalogue of building parts and components, poor adaptability of prefabricated building during the operational stage, and lack of actual cases to prove the environmental benefits of prefabricated buildings. This study also revealed the discrepancy between perceived critical risks and those risks with comparatively lower management performance. These findings offer useful inputs for the future development of prefabricated buildings in China and beyond.
