The loosely structured periodontal ligament and low mineralized bone surrounding erupting teeth provide minimal resistance to an extrusive force. The maxillary central incisors are the most frequently avulsed due to trauma. The prognosis of replanted teeth is affected by extra-alveolar period and conditions. Implant-supported restorations are contraindicated in adolescent patients with poor prognosis traumatized teeth. Autotransplantation of premolar to the anterior region provides a viable treatment alternative.<br/>This case report describes the autotransplantation of premolars and esthetic rehabilitation in a teenage patient with traumatized incisors, poor oral hygiene, and severe crowding. Comprehensive and long-term treatments were performed to improve complex and challenging oral problems.

Ludwig’s angina (LA) is a rapidly spreading and potentially life-threatening infection having an odontogenic infection as the most common source. It involves the floor of the mouth and neck. Modernization in medical care has made this entity rare and of low mortality at the present but it is still feared as a lethal entity due to rapidly progressive airway obstruction that follows. Here we report a case of a 15-year-old male who suffered from LA. Presenting symptoms and findings of the examination helped in the clinical diagnosis. Immediate intubation, use of broad-spectrum antibiotics, and treatment of complications aided the patient’s recovery. LA should be considered for differential diagnosis in the case of neck swelling especially in those having a history of poor oral hygiene and recent dental procedures. Management of LA and its complications should always involve doctors from multiple disciplines.

Tooth brush plays a vital role in the maintenance of oral health and dental hygiene. Regular brushing is widely advocated by dental surgeon in terms of decreasing dental caries and periodontal problems. Though, there has been decrease in diseases due to sequale of poor oral hygiene, at the same time there are also inherent risk of accidental trauma to the surrounding soft tissue during the act of brushing, more commonly when handled by children. This case report presents a treatment of peri-implantitis associated with a pre-existing pathology. Peri-implantitis around implant #19 was detected from pus discharge upon probing. Guided bone regeneration was performed to treat the peri-implantitis with the administration of antibiotics. The histopathologic evaluation of soft tissue taken from the circumferential defect around the implant exhibited a cyst. The postsurgical CBCT and the follow-up radiograph confirmed the maturing bone graft and a reduced size of the defect around the implant.

Pleural leiomyosarcomas are rare soft-tissue sarcomas. Neuropathic pain associated with such tumours can be quite debilitating. We present the case of a 62-year-old woman with chronic neuropathic pain refractory to pharmacologic interventions in association with recurrent pleural leiomyosarcoma. Pulsed radio-frequency of the stellate ganglion was performed after due consideration and planning as a palliative measure to provide pain relief. The patient was discharged the same day with pain score 0/10 and followed up for 3 years. The unique features of this case report are: (1) Different approach of the treatment modality and (2) longer follow-up.

Objective. This case report describes soft-tissue management after a failed GBR procedure to enhance the soft-tissue quality, quantity, and aesthetic outcomes. Case Presentation. A 38-year-old patient visited the Dental Clinic of the Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico, University of Milan, Milan, Italy, for a chief complaint of unsatisfactory aesthetics of the anterior maxillary area. Dental history disclosed failed preimplant vertical bone augmentation with GBR procedure in the area of the left maxillary central incisor resulting in a severe gingival recession of adjacent teeth and compromised soft-tissue quantity and quality and severe ridge atrophy (class III). Multilayered connective tissue grafting technique, in a two-step mucogingival surgery, was used to cover the gingival recessions, reach even gingival margin, and reconstruct the defect. Frenectomy was done after the second mucogingival surgery to relieve the muscle attachment. A definitive cantilever bridge was placed to restore the left and right maxillary central incisors, and a satisfactory aesthetic outcome was reached. Conclusions. Multilayered connective tissue grafting technique might be successful in correcting soft-tissue quantity and quality in class III ridge defects.

24-year-old woman was presented with huge vulval mass for which she was operated, histopathological report of that mass shows angiomyoma. After few months she was discovered to have a giant retroperitoneal tumor incidentally during her routine obstetric examination at 24 weeks of gestation. Initial investigation by abdominal-pelvic computed tomography (CT) (18/08/18) revealed an a large multiseptated soft tissue attenuated minimally enhancing pelvic mass (31.8cmx13.2x 24cm) protruding in the abdominal cavity displacing the bowel loops proximally and pushing retro organs posteriorly. She underwent laparotomy with preservation of the fetus at 24 weeks of gestation. Final diagnosis was made after HPE report which shows myxoid liposarcoma. She was referred to regional cancer hospital for radiotherapy and then patient lost in follow up.

For a 29-year-old man with a three-week-old Hawkins Type IV talar neck fracture, intra-operative reduction and fixation were not possible due to soft tissue contractures and severe comminution. A primary talonavicular and subtalar arthrodesis with the use of iliac crest bone graft was performed. Postoperative follow-up at 16 months demonstrated solid fusions, no avascular necrosis of the talus and a functional range of motion at the ankle. He was not capable of returning to his job of roof maintenance.
