The estimation of RFID in the support of supply chains of aircraft parts is of growing interest and is analyzed, especially in the proposed analytical model of this paper. This model helps us pick up a superior comprehension of the connections between different expenses brought about and the RFID impact on an aircraft support following procedure. Utilizing a RFID system, the company specialized in aircraft parts can accumulate savings. For this we need to consider that technology can remove inaccuracy in inventory delays brought about by mishandling in the component repair. This contextual analysis represents wonder through the utilization of numerical suppositions, highlighting the advantages of RFID. Furthermore, the estimation of RFID in aircraft maintenance is assessed utilizing sensitivity analysis, as per the parameters of the model of expense decreases in misusing repair parts and inventory control. The discoveries support the industry acceptance of RFID innovation, demonstrating that this is beneficial to support organizations of aircraft parts. Finally, in this paper we are considering the mishandling of the damaged parts of the air craft and also the cost reduction and the mishandling of the inventory parts. A sensitivity analysis is also carried out for the parameters that are used for the decrease in the utilizing the parts, cost reduction and the inventory control.

The main target of supply chain management is to control inventory of each node enterprise effectively with the minimum cost. In this paper, the control strategies and methods of inventory based on supply chain management are put forward, which are significant for saving the cost of supply chain and improving the overall benefits of the whole chain.

The effect of ‘supply chain management’ can be leveraged when benefits of collaboration within and beyond the capacities of individual organizations are witnessed. One of the primary tasks in reducing total supply chain costs is to understand where the costs occur in a supply chain and how each activity impacts the total supply chain costs. Most supply chains in construction usually involve multiple entities, each one in a different process. A rebar supply chain is one example where many entities are involved in different processes. The supply chain coordinator needs a supply chain cost model, which shows how each activity impacts all supply chain costs to reduce the total costs. The research suggests a supply chain cost model using time-driven activity-based costing. The proposed cost model was applied to a building construction project, followed by sensitivity analysis identifying critical activities. This method can be adapted to analyze other fragmented material supply chains in the construction industry.

In the past, many companies were concerned with managing activities primarily along the traditional supply chain to optimize operational processes and thereby economic benefits, without considering new economic or environmental opportunities in relation to the reverse supply chain and the use of used or reclaimed products. In contrast, companies are now showing increased interest in reverse logistics and closed loop supply chains (CLSCs) and their economic benefits and environmental impacts. In this chapter, our focus is the study of remanufacturing activity, which is one of the main recovery methods applied to closed loop supply chains. Specifically, the authors investigate and evaluate strategies for effective management of inventory control and production planning of a remanufacturing system. To pursue this objective, they model a production and inventory system for remanufacturing using the System Dynamics (SD) simulation modeling approach. The authors primary interest is in the returns process of such a system. Case studies will be referred to in this chapter to support some of the findings and to further validate the developed model.

Companies increasingly face challenging economic times, where it is not uncommon to see revenues decline or remain stagnant. This can strain business viability and reduce the return on investment for shareholders. To increase the return on investment and favorably impact profitability, organizations focus on cost reduction efforts. Cost management should be both holistic and purposeful, while taking a supply chain perspective. This is often not the case because the cost reduction efforts tend to be internal and short-term focused and do not consider the supply chain implications of decisions. Strategic cost management takes a supply chain perspective and includes several tools that can help facilitate cost management. This chapter provides a definition of strategic cost management with supporting examples. It also discusses some tools, including total cost of ownership, target costing, and supply chain finance, that can be used to holistically and strategically manage supply chain costs. The chapter closes with a discussion around the growing role of supply chain finance in cost management.

From a purchasing point of view, it can be argued that in order for a supply chain to be efficient the cost of purchasing must be balanced with risk pertaining to the supply market and the purchased product. To decide on the appropriate forms of supplier relationships today, we argue that there are three main dimensions to be considered: A more complex environment. Supply chain efficiency. Product life cycle.
