Abstract Rutile needles of macroscopic, microscopic, and submicroscopic sizes occur in the quartz of acidic igneous rocks. Although it is not known whether they are present as the result of mechanical inclusion, crystallization simultaneous with that of the quartz, oriented exsolution, or replacement they are an important means of tectonic and geochemical study. A grain of granitic quartz torn by erosion from its crystalline petrographic context retains its submicroscopic inclusions throughout the course of its sedimentary peregrinations no matter how small the detrital fragments may become.

AbstractMajor element, trace element, and REE data for metasedimentary granulites and their retrogressed derivatives formed from Archaean parent-rocks at two localities in the Lewisian complex of north-west Scotland are presented.The metasedimentary rocks are enclosed in and intruded by metatonalites and related calc-alkaline rocks and have been highly deformed and metamorphosed along with these rocks. They are geochemically distinct from this meta-igneous suite and range from highly aluminous to highly siliceous types. Comparisons of major and trace element data with those for unmetamorphosed Archaean and post-Archaean sediments suggest that they are derived from a detrital shale-greywacke assemblage, which may have included a volcaniclastic component. High ΣREE and ΣLREE suggest that the source-rocks included fractionated felsic igneous rocks.Evidence that depletion in the large ion lithophile elements K, Rb, Th accompanied high-pressure granulite metamorphism supports the view, based on data derived from the associated meta-igneous rocks, that depletion was effected by active fluids rather than by abstraction of a partial melt and suggests that removal of K and Th began only when a considerable reduction of Rb had taken place.

The upper unit gneisses represent most of the Bas - Limousin. It is characterized by the intercalation of basic igneous rocks (metagabbro- and metadolerite). These are affected by regional metamorphism but primary textures are preserved. The aim of this work is to present new geochemical data, which allow characterizing the geochemical nature of these rocks and discussing their geodynamic meaning. Chemical analyzes of the major and traces elements were carried out at “Service commun des sciences de la terre de l’ Université de Nancy I”, rare earths elements were analyzed at CRPG of Nancy. The results of this geochemical study show that these basic rocks are comparable to continental tholeiitic rocks.

The recognition of topoi, i.e. traditional formulae, is an important means of musical analysis. To illustrate this, the paper discusses the types of the battaglia and the pastoral in Bach’s Cantata Halt im Gedächtnis Jesum Christ, and briefly enumerates different types of allusions to jazz in 20th-century compositions by Stravinsky, Milhaud, Blacher, Tippet, and Zimmermann. Then it raises the possibility of an analysis of topoi in Bartók’s music in four main categories. It considers Bartók’s musical quotations from Bach to Shostakovich; the chorale as special topos appearing in Mikrokosmos, in the Concerto for Orchestra, in the Adagio religioso of the Third Piano Concerto; the topos-like employment of the tritone; and finally the idea of a Bartókian Arcadia in the Finale of Music for Strings, and the integration of bird song in the Adagio religioso.

The System of National Databases of Ethnic Minorities and Ethnic Policies (System) is recognized as one of most important means for governance and management in ethnic minority’s field of Vietnam State. The task of building this System now was put down in a direction of government and is going on first stage of design and development of database framework. One among main requirement for the System is that ability to provide fullest and adequate data and information to requests from users from various organizations of state management. As mentioned in the first draft of this design in the national-wide conference that recently hold in Hanoi (Aug-2017), one of the critical point of the design and development of databases of this system is to build “smart” searching engine based on semantic technology. It can retrieve those information on ethnic minorities and ethnic minority’s area that relevant together in term of providing users any relevant information based on only one unique query. This paper is aiming to introduce some techniques with illustrative examples that suitable for the idea of building this smart engine.
