Information Technology (IT) is increasingly progressing. Nowadays, the success of a business of the organization/company is highly dependent on the IT infrastructure used. Therefore, organizations/companies have to manage their IT service to be optimal to their customers. Looking at this matter and the increasing dynamics of XYZ University, then Data and Information System Center (Pusdatin) - an IT provider of XYZ University began implementing IT Service Management (ITSM) from 2013 using the latest version of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), namely ITIL v3 as a framework for implementing ITSM in its business processes. However, along the way, there are still some problems happen in Pusdatin in order that ITSM can actually support and align with the objectives of XYZ University. Through this paper, the authors want to explain how the implementation of ITSM at Pusdatin, identify the problems related to the implementation of ITSM, and provide the solutions for each problem. The methods used are direct observation to Pusdatin, conductan interview with the Head of Pusdatin and Staff of Pusdatin, and also perform a literature review of books and papers that discuss about ITIL. The result of this research is that ITSM process of Pusdatin generally works quite well but there are still some shortcomings because ITSM is not 100% implemented in all areas.

The use of cloud computing is becoming widespread, but systematic study of its managerial implications is lacking. This paper examines cloud computing in the context of other major changes in Information Technology (IT) and explores the revolutionary transformations and challenges which bring to IT management. Cloud computing has a high reliability, low cost and good availability. With the increasing use of technology in modern era, there is a growing requirement of information technology infrastructure management. Over some decades in the past, organizations have put their efforts in the development and application of information technology to collect, analyze and process the data. Various computing paradigms have been employed for the purpose and needs have emerged for enormous infrastructure.Cloud Computing is evolving as a key computing platform for sharing resources that include infrastructure, software application and business processes. Virtualization is a core technology for enabling cloud resources sharing (Liang et al. 2009). Virtualization refers to the abstracting of a form of technology away from its original environment. The benefit derives from being able to redeliver it in a virtual (or “logical”) form capable of the same functionality as the original, but with greater flexibility (Tata Communication White Paper 2012). This paper presents how Cloud Computing service model – Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) can be used to meet the increasing demands of the Information Technology Infrastructure Management and how Cloud Computing paradigm can prove to be future solution for such systems. With IaaS, IT services can be delivered as a subscription service, eliminating up-front costs and driving down ongoing support costs.

IT Service Management (ITSM) is a management concept in providing information technology services properly and successfully to customers, it can also be a method of processing philosophical systems that are centered on the IT service consumer perspective on the company's business. The service management of an organization is basically implemented in the form of the functions of the organization's functions (functions) and the processes that are carried out (processes) in managing and changing the resources (resources) of the organization into the values expected by the customer. ITIL or the summary of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library is a general framework that describes best practices that provide guidance on how Information Technology (IT) service providers should run IT service management. One of the organizations that provide IT services is PT. Telkom, which has an IndiHome application for customers who want to use internet or cable TV services. This research evaluates maturity level the information technology infrastructure that supports IndiHome's business processes at PT. Telkom Bengkulu. So that with this assessment can see the achievement of performance at PT. Telkom Bengkulu. The focus of this research is the domain service operation on ITIL V3.

Information technology infrastructure in contemporary large-sized service organisations is growing exponentially in terms of purpose, kind, scope, and complexity. As a result, these organisations are adopting a variety of information technology governance practices to achieve sustained levels of service to meet organisational goals and objectives. This chapter presents a case study of information technology governance in a hospital. It shows that information technology governance practices need to be institutionalised in the social, cultural, technical, and structural environment to produce the desired organisational behavior of responsibility and accountability. It highlights the key success factors that have led to successful assimilation of these practices with business processes, job functions, and workflows in the case organization. This study, thus, expands the theoretical and practical views on implementation of information technology governance.

The case centers on Shilling & Smith's acquisition of Xteria Inc. and the resulting need to quickly scale the company's IT infrastructure to accommodate the acquisition. The case is based on a real leasing problem faced by a major retail firm in the Chicago area when it purchased a small credit card processing firm and scaled the operations to handle the retail firm's credit card transactions. The CIO of Shilling & Smith needs to determine which lease option is the best means of providing the technical infrastructure needed to support the firm after the acquisition of Xteria. Several issues will drive this decision, including the value and useful life of the equipment, as well as the strategic context of the firm. This case examines how to evaluate different lease options when acquiring data center information technology infrastructure. Specifically, the case addresses software vs. hardware leasing, different lease terms, and choosing between different lease structures depending on the strategy and needs of a company. This case enables students to understand the different types of technology leases and in which situations these leases would be employed. The Shilling & Smith case examines how to evaluate different lease options when acquiring data center information technology infrastructure. Specifically, students learn software vs. hardware leasing, different lease terms, and how to choose between different lease structures depending on the strategy and needs of the company. A secondary objective of the case is to teach students the important components and relative costs of information technology infrastructure.
