The Covid-19 pandemic has invaded almost the entire planet. Thisdisease forced the Jordanian education and university system to make a sudden transition from traditional classroom teaching / learning to a virtual world in which teachers and learners found themselves faced with previously inexperienced technological tools. These digital platforms have changed people's perception of the teaching / learning of foreign languages and cultures.This article evaluated the preparation and the perception towards the e-learning and the impact of the latter on teachers and learners of French as a foreign language, while using two questionnaires.15teachers and 60students answered the questionnaires. The results showed that 15% of teachers and 70% of learners have the computer skills required for the use and the integration of digital tools during lessons. 25% of teachers and 71% of learners rated the transition from traditional lessons to digital lessons as easy. Most of the participants (70% of teachers and 85% of students) felt that online teaching / learning allowed more flexibility despite the fact that these respondents preferred classical education in the classroom.A minority of students said that switching to e-learning due to health conditions made them feel lonely (11.77%), anxious (7.31%) and depressed (10.25%).Giventhe possibility to choose, it was realized that participants would prefer a blended teaching / learning, where some teaching activities are switched to online platforms.

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought about a sudden drastic change in the teaching learning patterns globally. Educational institutes have shifted from the traditional classroom teaching to virtual classrooms. This transition is the need of the hour. It requires technical up gradation as well as better communication skills because the teacher and student are only interacting through a virtual platform. There are many difficulties that both teacher and students face during online teaching learning process. In this study we have tried to understand the perception of physiotherapy students towards E Learning. From the data received and analysed it was concluded that the physiotherapy students prefer traditional classroom teaching as it helps develop better hands on skills. The lockdown situation has hampered the learning processes to a large extent across the globe. Many educational institutes promptly adapted to the situation and moved towards online learning, and many found constraints in this sudden migration. The purpose of the chapter is to identify the impact of a pandemic on the ongoing educational activities and how these activities were carried out with the help of technology-based solutions. A comparative analysis of the traditional and modern methods of teaching-learning has been carried out to check their suitability during the pandemic time. The significance of this chapter is to describe an integrative approach of continuing online teaching-learning activities throughout the lockdown time by establishing the connection between the online teaching-learning process and the traditional classroom-based methods. The challenges offered by the online environment have been outlined from the perspective of both the educational institutes and the learners.

Worldwide metastasis of novel coronavirus COVID-19 has caused immense alterations among every walk of human existence and social interaction(1). Education and training sector being as vulnerable to these adjustments as any other domain(2). Owing to its extremely infectious nature, the COVID-19 pandemic enforced the closure of training institutes globally. All the traditional classroom training were restricted as an instant consequence, to achieve the norms of social distancing which can perhaps aid in obliterating the infection curve and lessen the resultant fatalities(3). Educational institutions in India predominantly bank on traditional methods of training, utilizing conventional setup of in-person training and lectures in a teaching space. While over the years, there is a marked shift towards blended learning, still most of the academic institutes are guided by the existing orthodox learning methodologies. An unexpected outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic caused by Corona Virus (SARS-CoV-2) shuddered the entire world (4). This complete shutdown kind of circumstances has tested the education system globally and coerced the educators to shift to digital platforms and online modules almost instantaneously. Academic institutions were required to shift from their traditional pedagogical approach to online teaching-learning. The article recognises the possible barriers to swiftly shift from traditional methods of learning towards e-learning among adult professionals through analysing the limitations faced by the authors while converting and conducting traditional trainings into e-trainings at The National Cold Chain and Vaccine Management Resource Centre (NCCVMRC-NIHFW), New Delhi. This article also put some light on methodologies that could assist academic institutions in dealing with challenges associated with shifting towards e-learning.

Blended Learning also known as hybrid learning is a teaching learning process which is a combination of both the online teaching learning and traditional classroom teaching learning. Background: The novel coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has tested the ability of universities to provide a high-quality, safe educational experience for students due to campuses shutting down. As a result, online learning could shift from a traditional classroom teaching mode and make education accessible to students. Previous studies have used individual online teaching cases to exploit a variety of online learning tools to ensure the continuation of medical education during this difficult time in China. However, for the first time, we have conducted a systematic review of local online teaching approaches, existing challenges, and potential solutions.Purpose: We present the issues and experience of conducting online medical teaching practices in China with the aim of communicating them to our peers in other countries or regions when examining the transition to e-learning during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond.Methods: We searched the keywords below from public databases and reviewed relevant publications reporting on medical online teaching in China during the COVID-19 pandemic to analyze and summarize the online tools, modalities, and challenges.Results: We listed common online teaching tools and described a variety of online teaching modalities, as well as possible challenges. We also discussed potential solutions for those challenges, as well as the impact of the transition to online teaching on traditional education.Conclusion: By investigating local online medical teaching in China, we present useful tools and modalities that have been successfully exploited in education during the difficult time of COVID-19, although some challenges remain. The exploration of the transition to online teaching or learning will likely continue to have a profound impact on traditional classroom teaching.

Through this work, based on research works concerning e-learning in particular works dealing with e_learning project management systems, adaptive hypermedia systems and decision-making systems on the one hand. Work on the impact of project-based learning on self-regulation in teaching and the design of pedagogical scenarios for classical education and in particular for modular online education on the other hand. Our work concerns the design and scripting of a modular online education by proposing different possible scenarios according to the nature of the learning or assessment activities linked to a learning situation without taking into account the nature of the discipline and the nature of the concept to be addressed.

The phenomenon of Coronavirus Disease 2019 forced the education system in Indonesia to be run online. The descriptive qualitative method was usedin this research to investigate some cases faced by the Fourth Semester Students of the English Department, Nusa Cendana University toward online learning in Cross-Cultural Communication Lecture. It was conducted to answer students’ perceptions, solutions, and expectations in joining online lectures for the last three months in the Even Semester of Academic Year 2019-2020. To collect the data, and a non-facial interview technique was applied through some online Learning Management System; e-learning by Nusa Cendana University and Google Classroom. The data were analyzed by categorizing the students’ answers. The result of this study showed that11.43% were ready for online lectures, while those who prefer regular classes were 82.86%.Only 27.14% could meet the needs of online lectures since they had available mobile data, while 47.14% frankly stated having mobile data problem. It can be concluded that there were some changes in learning culture that forced students to deal with online teaching-learning activities. Undeniable, it was not easy to organize except well prepared from the very first beginning of class by having Course Contract which only needed to be changed into an online form. Yet, their expectations for universities and government to increase Learning Management System and subsidies for the needs of mobile data bundle (for teachers, lecturers, and students).

While countries are facing different stages in their COVID-19 infection rates, worldwide there are millions of students affected by universities’ facilities closures due to the pandemic. Some institutions have enforced strategies to transfer some courses to a virtual modality, but many Dental Schools have been challenged to deal with a situation which requires emergency measures to continue the academic course in the middle of lock-downs and social distancing measures. Despite the fact that the number of online academic programs available, especially graduate programs, has increased in diverse modalities, this pandemic forced e-learning processes to develop abruptly. The likelihood of using e-learning strategies in dentistry was substantiated in the scientific literature and an overview of these opportunities is presented. Additionally, the experience of the University of Costa Rica Faculty of Dentistry is presented, as it was evident that some of the key elements in a e-learning environment needed a quick enhancement and initiation of some processes was required. First, it was necessary to categorize the academic courses depending on their virtualization's possibility (curricula analysis and classification), to better understand the extent of the impact and the work needed to contain, as far as the possibilities allowed, negative consequences on students learning process. Second, teachers needed further training in the application of virtual strategies which they hadn’t used before. do Third, an evaluation of the students’ conditions and needs was conducted in a form of a survey. Finally, teachers and students activated the available virtual platforms. For many Dental Schools, this virtualization process is an ongoing progress although it was abruptly imposed, but this moment indeed represents an enormous opportunity to move forward and get immerse in the virtualization environment as a teaching/learning experience.

This paper looks at the functionality of three interactive digital platforms for creating a virtual environment in online teaching and learning - Hangouts Meet, Zoom and Microsoft Teams. These platforms have started being widely used during the 2019-nCoV pandemic. On the basis of a review and comparison of their integrated functions and features, as well as of observations made in the course of their parallel use during the spring semester of 2019/20 at the Department of the Serbian language of the Faculty of Philosophy in Niš, the author has established that these platforms have the same general characteristics, while differences exist in the area of integrated functions that can be used by teachers and students. Taking into consideration this segment of the analysis, the author concludes that the interactive digital platforms Zoom and Microsoft Teams are better adapted to the implementation of online instruction than Google's Hangouts Meet, as they enable screen sharing and the following of textual communication, direct sharing of sound by means of a sound card, using a chosen photograph to create an appropriate learning environment, textual communication with one or more participants of the teaching/learning process, special formatting of text in messages, the exchange of teaching/learning materials in real time and for the duration of the call, conducting short surveys within the program, and the recording of each individual lesson. However, the paper also suggests ways of increasing the functionality of all analyzed platforms by using simple add-ons and online tools. By providing a detailed overview of all integrated functions, the paper discusses the methodological implications for their more effective use in online instruction.
