Emotional mental disturbances occur more often in adult women due to the influence of the estrogen hormone. Working women tend to have more burdens than women who do not work. Mental emotional disturbance in women, such as stress and anxiety, can interfere with their productivity and lead to depression. The aim of this social empowerment is to do mental health screening and management stress training i.e. deep breathing, the five-finger hypnosis, and progressive muscle relaxation in order to reduce the sign and symptom of stress and anxiety. Mental health screening was conducted using the Self Reporting Questionnaire-20 (SRQ-20). Initially, 44.2% of respondents experienced signs and symptoms of anxiety. After undergoing deep breathing training, the five-finger hypnosis, also progressive muscle relaxation for four meetings in one month, the signs and symptoms of stress and anxiety in women has decreased. The conclusion from this activity is stress management training with deep breathing, the five-finger hypnosis, and progressive muscle relaxation in adult and elderly women can reduce stress and anxiety levels.

Abstract BACKGROUND Infertility is defined as the failure to achieve clinical pregnancy after 12 months of regular unprotected intercourse. It could be due to male or female factors, each requiring different treatment options. ART treatment exposes couples to numerous psychological stressors. Therefore, it has been recommended by the ESHRE Psychology and Counselling Guideline Development Group recently that psychosocial support should be offered as a complementary therapy during infertility treatments. In this context, the efficiency of different psychological interventions, such as cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), deep breathing (DB), and progressive muscle relaxation (PMR), was evaluated in several clinical trials in terms of couples’ mental health and pregnancy outcomes. OBJECTIVE AND RATIONALE The neurophysiology of CBT, DB and PMR, which are used in interventional studies, in both men and women undergoing ART, has not yet been fully elucidated. This review represents a comprehensive report, aiming to collate novel insights into the neurobiological processes and physiological mechanisms that occur during the practice of CBT, DB and PMR. SEARCH METHODS PubMed, Google Scholar and Cochrane Library were interrogated to conduct this comprehensive literature review. The search was carried out using combinations of MeSH terms and keywords: infertility, assisted reproductive techniques, IVF, ICSI, emotions, psychological stress, cognitive behavioural therapy, mind-body therapies and relaxation. Relevant information related to the mechanism of action of stress management techniques were obtained from original articles and reviews published in English without taking into consideration the time of publication. Moreover, as it was not the major focus of the review, only recent systematic reviews (2015–2019) pinpointing the effects of psychological interventions on infertility treatment outcomes were also retrieved from the above-mentioned databases. OUTCOMES CBT, DB and PMR may modify the activity of stress-related brain regions such as the prefrontal cortex, amygdala, hypothalamus and hippocampus, as demonstrated by functional MRI and electroencephalogram studies. Furthermore, applying these techniques was associated with mood improvements and a decline in stress biomarkers, and, hypothetically, reducing stress biomarkers attenuates the stress-induced effects on ART outcomes. WIDER IMPLICATIONS Increasing the knowledge of fertility staff, researchers and physicians regarding the mechanisms of action of these stress management techniques has several advantages. For instance, understanding the underlying neurophysiological pathways would assist practitioners to engage ART couples in the practice of these techniques. Also, it may enhance the quality of the support programmes and psychological research. Accordingly, this will ensure that these interventions reach their full potential and therefore improve clinical outcomes.

Abstract Background Leaders in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are exposed to increased stress as a result of a range of challenges. Moreover, they rarely have the opportunity to participate in stress management trainings. Therefore, KMU-GO (ger: Kleine und mittlere Unternehmen – Gesundheitsoffensive; en: small and medium-sized enterprises – health campaign) aims at conducting and evaluating such a stress management training. The focus of evaluation does not only lie on the effects on leaders participating but also on their employees. Methods The study is planned as a 2 × 3 mixed design with two groups (intervention and waiting control group) as a between factor and point in time (at baseline, 6 and 12 months later) as a within factor. We aim at collecting data from N = 200 leaders. Based on the results of a preceding assessment, an already successfully implemented stress management training was adapted to SME needs and now serves as the framework of this intervention. The stress management training comprises one and a half days and is followed by two booster sessions (each 180 min) about 3 and 6 months after the training. The main focus of this intervention lies on specifying leaders stress reactivity while at the same time investigating its effects on employees’ mental health. Further dependent variables are leaders´ depression and anxiety scores, effort-reward imbalance, sick days and psychophysiological measures of heart rate variability, hair cortisol, and salivary alpha-amylase. Cost-effectiveness analyses will be conducted from a societal and employers’ point of view. Discussion Stress management is a highly relevant issue for leaders in SMEs. By providing an adequate occupational stress management training, we expect to improve leaders´ and also employees` mental health, thereby preventing economic losses for SMEs and the national economy. However, collecting data from employees about the success of a stress management training of their leader is a highly sensitive topic. It requires a carefully planned proceeding ensuring for example a high degree of transparency, anonymity, and providing team incentives. Trial registration The KMU-GO trial is registered at the German Clinical Trial Register (DRKS): DRKS00023457 (05.11.2020)

BACKGROUND Mobile applications for mental health are available on the market. While they seem to be promising for improving the accessibility of mental health care, little is known about their acceptance, design methodology, evaluation, and integration into protocolized psychotherapy. This makes it difficult for the healthcare professionals to judge whether these applications may help them and their patients. OBJECTIVE Describing and evaluating a protocol for the participatory design of mobile applications for mental health (m-health app). In this study, participants and psychotherapists are engaged in the early phases of the design and development of the application empowered by Conversational Artificial Intelligence (AI). The application supports interventions for Stress Management Training based on Cognitive Behavioral Theory. METHODS 21 participants aged 33-61 with mild to moderate levels of stress, anxiety and depression (assessed by submitting them with the Italian version of SCL-90-R, OSI, and PSS scale) were assigned to two groups, A and B. Both groups received stress management training sessions along with cognitive behavioral treatment, but only participants assigned to Group A received support by a mobile personal healthcare agent, designed for mental care and empowered by AI techniques. Psychopathological outcomes were assessed by submitting those tests at baseline (T1), following eight weeks of treatment (T2), and after three months post-treatment (T3). A focus group with psychotherapists who administered the therapy was held post-treatment to collect their impressions and suggestions. RESULTS While the inter-group statistical analysis showed that Group B participants could rely on better coping strategies at T3, Group A subjects reported significant improvements in Obsessivity and Compulsivity assessment between T1 and T3. Psychotherapists’ acceptance of the protocol was good. In particular they were in favor of integrating an AI based m-health application in their practice because they could appreciate the increased engagement of patients in pursuing therapy goals. CONCLUSIONS The integration of an AI-based mobile application for m-health showed to be effective in improving participants’ strategies for coping with stress and anxiety. At the same time, the mental health professionals involved in the experiment reported interest and acceptance of the proposal of integrating AI-based conversational support in their daily practice. CLINICALTRIAL The protocol and the experimental plan were approved by the Ethical Committee of the University of Trento, Italy. The research described in this paper was the initial and exploratory phase of a larger intervention protocol that is currently registered in Clinical Trials, with reference NCT04809090.
