Purpose The purpose of this paper is to investigate the effect of organizational justice on turnover-intention via the mediating influences of organizational commitment and job satisfaction. In addition, the study aims at incorporating all four facets of organizational justice (procedural, distributive, interpersonal and informational) in an attempt to test the model in a developing country context. Design/methodology/approach The study targeted employees in the airline industry working for airline companies currently operating in Jordan. A count of 323 questionnaires were directly distributed and completed and returned by employees yielding a response rate of 81 percent. Multiple regression analysis was used to test the hypotheses. Findings The results led to the acceptance of all hypotheses. Most importantly, it was confirmed that both organizational commitment and job satisfaction had a mediating effect on the relationship between organizational justice and turnover-intention. While job satisfaction fully mediated the relationship, organizational commitment only had a partially mediating effect. Originality/value The study took a step beyond the simple linear models typically used in the literature by proposing a more complex one that investigated the mediating role of job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Moreover, the researchers applied this model to a developing country setting in order to bridge the research gap.

This study examines the mediating role of job satisfaction on the effect of distributive, procedural and interactional justice on counterproductive work behavior. Design/methodology/approach – A total of 110 service company employees in Indonesia as respondents. This study uses primary data collected through a questionnaire. Respondents are given the answer choice using the Likert Scale which consists of 5 scores namely scores 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. Data analysis using Partial Least Squares (PLS). Several respondents and management were purposely selected as key informants for in-depth interviews to explore the relationship mechanism between distributive, procedural and interactional justice, job satisfaction and counterproductive work behavior. The results of the study found that distributive, procedural and interactional justice had a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, distributive justice had a positive and not significant effect on counterproductive work behavior, procedural justice had a negative and significant effect on counterproductive work behavior, interactional justice had a negative and not significant effect on counterproductive work behavior, job satisfaction has a negative and insignificant effect on counterproductive work behavior and job satisfaction does not significantly mediate the effect of distributive, procedural and interactional justice on counterproductive work behavior. This study provides empirical support for the influence of distributive, procedural, interactional justice on job satisfaction and counterproductive work behavior. This study also provides evidence of the effect of justice directly and through job satisfaction on counterproductive work behavior. Purpose- The paper aims to empirically testing the mediating effect of trust in management in the relationship between organizational justice and personal outcomes. The main purpose of this study is to understand mediating role of trusting the management on organizational justice and its impact on job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Approach- The study is based on the effect of organizational justice, trust in management, job satisfaction and organizational commitment among nursing staff working at different hospitals at Kathmandu Valley. This study incorporates design and distribution of questionnaire to 160 nurses belonging to different hospitals working on different scale of pay level. Findings- Organizational justice alone does not significantly increase job satisfaction as well as commitment in the organization. Trust in management mediates the relationship organizational justice and personal outcome. Organizational justice positively affect personal outcome when mediated by high trust in management. Practical implication- This paper is useful to academicians and organizations to understand the impact of trust in management on the work performance. This study provides practical implications towards nurses and management of hospitals. Management requires change in behavior to develop trusting environment in workplace.

The current study was conducted on the employees of a Jordanian governmental department that has 240 employees, using a questionnaire. The number of the returned questionnaires was 150, achieving response rate of 62.5%. The influences of organizational justice, organizational commitment and job satisfaction on employees’ intention to leave their job were scrutinized and were supported. The mediating roles of organizational commitment and job satisfaction in the relationship between organizational justice and intention to leave were investigated and corroborated. As previous research supported the relations between the studied variables, the contribution of this study is the suggested and corroborated conceivable succession for the effects of the precursors of employees’ intentions to leave their jobs, which demonstrate its significance. The implications and limitations of this study are presented.

Abstract. This study investigated the mediating role of coping humor in the relationship between emotional intelligence (EI) and job satisfaction. Participants were 398 primary school teachers in China, who completed the Wong Law Emotional Intelligence Scale, Coping Humor Scale, and Overall Job Satisfaction Scale. Results showed that coping humor was a significant mediator between EI and job satisfaction. A further examination revealed, however, that coping humor only mediated two sub-dimensions of EI (use of emotion and regulation of emotion) and job satisfaction. Implications for future research and limitations of the study are discussed.

<span><em>This study aims to explain the influence of the Social Security </em><span><em>program on performance and job satisfaction and job stress as a mediating </em><span><em>variable. In addition, this study also describes the effect of job satisfaction on </em><span><em>the performance and the effect of work stress on performance. The relationship of </em><span><em>each variable in this research is to be measured by conducting a survey on 145 </em><span><em>employees of private companies that included in Social Security program on </em><span><em>DIY and Solo. Then the path analisys used to test the effect of social security </em><span><em>program performance in mediation by job satisfaction, performance and job stress</em><span><em>, job satisfaction, and examines the effect on the performance and the effect of </em><span><em>work stress on performance. The results showed that the social security program </em><span><em>significant positively affects job satisfaction and performance. Job satisfaction was </em><span><em>also positively and significantly affect performance. Even though mediating role </em><span><em>of job satisfaction in the relationship between social security program performance </em><span><em>partial. Because merely direct relationship between social security program with </em><span><em>greater performance than the mediating role of job satisfaction. Social Security </em><span><em>program did not significantly affect the stress of work, as well as job stress did </em><span><em>not significantly affect performance. Therefore, the mediating role of work stress </em><span><em>on the relationship between social security program with the performance did not </em><span><em>occur. Purpose The purpose of this paper is to examine the mediating role of burnout (i.e. exhaustion, cynicism, professional inefficacy) in the relationship between job level and job satisfaction as well as between job level and task performance. Design/methodology/approach The final sample included 342 Korean workers from selected companies. The authors employed the Hayes (2013) PROCESS tool for analyzing the data. Findings The results showed that all three subscales of burnout (i.e. exhaustion, cynicism, professional inefficacy) mediate the relationship between job level and job satisfaction. However, only two mediators (i.e. cynicism, professional inefficacy) indicated the mediating effects on the association between job level and task performance. Originality/value This research presented the role of burnout on the relationships between job level, job satisfaction, and task performance especially in South Korean organizational context. In addition to role of burnout, findings should prove helpful in improving job satisfaction and task performance. The authors provide implications and limitations of the findings.
