The computer has revolutionized the use of statistical techniques in social science research. In recent years microcomputers have begun to replace large mainframe computers in such applications as word processing, accounting and data base management. While the use of microcomputers as statistical processors is still in its infancy, and existing software leaves a lot to be desired, the economics and convenience of statistical work on microcomputers point to an increasing role for micros in this area.This article will survey the costs and benefits of doing statistical work with microcomputers. It is not a discussion of individual statistical programs but instead focuses on the general issues of what you need and what you can expect to do.

This paper helps to investigate the effectiveness of online advertisement on consumers' mind. The data, which has been obtained from the respondents of Hyderabad, showed an impact on the consumers’ perception about the online advertising. A survey was conducted through structured questionnaire to obtain the data from the respondents of University of Hyderabad (UoH) and Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) situated in Hyderabad. A sample of 200 respondents were gathered with in a time frame of one month and their responses were analyzed with the help of Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) by using different statistical techniques in order to know the effectiveness of online advertisement on consumer mind. The outcome shows a positive impact of advertising on consumer’s mind.

This research began with the observation which was done in VIII-C class SMPN 19 Bandung, there were lack of student’s awareness in keeping class environment, it looked from scatter waste and the lamp that was left turning on when the class began. From the condition, it needs the effort in order to make the students are able to understand a concept of social science material which can increase the ecological intelligent development. The implementation of journalistic activity becomes the alternative that was chosen to develop students’ ecological intelligent development. Journalistic activity aims to make students aware about living environmental issue in their surroundings. Meanwhile, the method that was used was class action research method (PTK) with the design which was developed byKemmis and Mc Taggart in which each cycle consists of planning, action, observation and implementation of reflection. Based on the result of the research of developing students’ ecological intelligence showed enough in first cycle, in cycle 2 and 3 had increasing and they were in good category. Based on the result of three cycles that had been done, there were enhanced in each category. It shows that through journalistic activity, there is enhanced in students’ ecological intelligence.
