Purpose: The purpose of the study was to assess the influence of transport and fleet rationalization on performance of state corporations Kenya. Methodology: Descriptive research design was adopted because it allowed an in-depth study of the subject. The target population was all the 187 state corporations in Kenya. Questionnaires were administered to collect qualitative and quantitative data from a sample of 127 heads of transport and logistics department among state corporations operating in Kenya, who were selected using simple random sampling, from the four strata. Questionnaires were used to collect data. The questionnaires were tested for validity and reliability using 10% of the total sample respondents. Data was analyzed through descriptive statistical methods such as means, standard deviation, frequencies and percentage. Inferential analyses were used in relation to correlation analysis and regression analysis to test the relationship between the four explanatory variables and the explained variable. Multiple regression models were used to show the relationship between the predicted variable and the predictor variables. The data generated was keyed in and analyzed by use of Statistical Package of Social Sciences (SPSS) version 21 to generate information which was presented using charts, frequencies and percentages. Results and conclusion: The response rate of the study was 76%. R square value of 0.715 means that 71.5% of the corresponding variation in performance of state corporations in Kenya can be explained or predicted by (logistics information management, consignment management, distributor base management, transit management) which indicated that the model fitted the study data. The results of regression analysis revealed that there was a significant positive relationship between dependent variable and independent variable at (β = 0.715), p=0.000 <0.05). The findings of the study concluded that logistics information management, consignment management, distributor base management and transit management have a positive relationship with performance of state corporations in Kenya. Policy recommendation: The study recommended that state corporations should embrace transport and fleet rationalization aspects so as to improve performance and further researches should to be carried out in other firms to find out if the same results can be obtained.

Current technology has developed rapidly, computers are one of them. Almost all types of jobs require a computer to complete the task. In the field of computer education it is also very helpful, especially in terms of payroll services for teachers and employees who work as educators. MTs NU Jogoloyo Wonosalam Demak as an institution that has a large number of teachers and employees, besides that every day attendance officers are absent which results in difficulties in making payroll reports, especially recording and reporting still using manual methods so it takes longer time to record and deliver. report. In addition, sometimes there is a misunderstanding between attendance officers and teachers and employees regarding remuneration at the end of the month. In solving this payroll problem, the writer uses the Research and Development (R & D) method, while making applications can use high-level programming languages such as Microsoft Visual Basic Ver 6.0. and SQL Server 2000 for data base management. Payroll applications are needed to simplify transactions and reporting on a monthly basis. Abstract: The fundamental goal of this postulation is to introduce various models for single also as numerous inquiry handling in the Distributed data set framework which brings about less question handling cost. One of the significant issues in the plan and execution of Distributed Information Base Management Systems (DDBMS) is productive inquiry handling. The objective of dispersed inquiry improvement decreases to minimization of measure of information to be communicated among destinations for handling a given inquiry. The issue of question handling in DDBS (1 1) has been concentrated broadly in writing. In the greater part of calculations, the capability of the question will contain a grouping of tasks. In such cases, while executing tasks from right to left, as per the request for tasks in arrangement, the aftereffect of an activity might be an operand to the next activity. Since the tasks are subject to each other, at a moment in particular one activity at one site will be executed despite the fact that the climate is dispersed. Then frameworks at any remaining locales will be inactive for this inquiry. Another model, Totally Reducible Relation Model (CRK Medel), which permits parallelism and processes numerous tasks all the while at all important locales is introduced. It is expected that the tasks are in the type of conjunctions. So every activity can be handled freely. In this model at some moment, relations at every single significant site will be totally diminished by relating sets of every appropriate activity (Determinations, Semijoins and Joins) all the while. Thus, every connection will be checked just a single time to deal with all appropriate tasks by decreasing VO cost.

Gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST) are uncommon mesenchymal neoplasms of the gastrointestinal tract. The majority of GISTs are the result of sporadic mutations, most commonly of the KIT proto-oncogene. Germline mutations account for 5% of GISTs and result in rare familial syndromes. We present a 66-year-old male with a family history of GIST who presented with mild abdominal pain and was found to have a massive, multifocal GIST. The main tumor was resected via laparotomy and the weight was found over 2 kg. He was commenced on adjuvant therapy with imatinib and will be closely monitored. Familial GISTs tend to be larger, multifocal and diagnosed at a younger age. Familial GISTs are extremely rare conditions. There is little to no evidence on the long-term outcomes of treatment on which to base management decisions.

Purpose This paper aims to review the latest management developments across the globe and pinpoint practical implications from cutting-edge research and case studies. Design/methodology/approach This briefing is prepared by an independent writer who adds their own impartial comments and places the articles in context. Findings The population is ageing. The ratio between people of working age and those of retirement age is decreasing. One option to combat this is for employees to remain working longer and delay retirement. A proactive company creates a business case analyzing the demographics of the workforce and putting together a continuity plan to maintain the knowledge base. Management prioritizes age management and promotes positive attitudes toward older workers, ensuring there are sufficient resources to create a healthy and safe working environment for all, taking into account individual needs. This allows employees to work for longer, rather than take age-compulsory redundancy. Originality/value The briefing saves busy executives and researchers hours of reading time by selecting only the very best, most pertinent information and presenting it in a condensed and easy-to-digest format.

Modern trends in the analysis of state authorities’ key performance indicators lead to an understanding of the need to enhance the effectiveness of the methods used to predict such essential parameters of the national economic system as budget indicators. Considering the ways of using budget indicators for the formation of state policy in the economic and social spheres is necessary to base management decisions solely from the position of their balanced and logical expediency. In light of this methodology for forecasting budget indicators in the short and medium-term, they acquire key importance. The approaches proposed by the authors of the article are based on tried and tested methods of extrapolation, analyzed values, which, when applied in practice, give promisingly reliable results. The article discusses three key approaches that can serve as a basis for transformation, depending on particular research needs. When considering these methods, a comparative experimental study was also carried out, making it possible to assess the quality of forecasting budget indicators when using any of them.

Gas lift is one of the most popular ways to increase oil-well production, and it is no secret that it is an underperformer. Back in 2014, ExxonMobil reported that by creating a team of roving gas-lift experts it was able to add an average of 22% more output on several hundred wells where the gas injection had been optimized. Gains were expected because “wells do not remain the same over time; they change,” said Rodney Bane, global artificial-lift manager at ExxonMobil, in this JPT story covering the 2014 SPE Artificial Lift Conference and Exhibition (https://jpt.spe.org/paying-close-attention-gas-lift-system-can-be-rewarding). The problem with gas injection is that change is hard. Injection adjustment or repairs require either pulling the tubing to reach the injection mandrels or a wireline run. Those with good- producing wells, particularly offshore, need to weigh the possible gain against the cost and lost production during the job. Those managing more and more wells live with iffy data, injection systems prone to malfunction, horizontal wells prone to irregular flows, and a time-consuming process for calculating the proper injection rates. New approaches addressing those negatives have led a few big operators to try new systems designed to allow constant adjustments based on downhole data with electric control systems designed to be more reliable. Programmable digital controls raise an obvious question: How do you take advantage of that capability? Constantly updated injection data based on traditional evaluation methods is the first step. And new capabilities are inspiring new thinking about how injected gas lifts production and how to make it work more efficiently. Optimizing the process has not been a priority in gas lift. “It was a fairly imprecise thing. But the beauty of gas lift is it works even where it’s broken. It’s not a pump; it’s flow assurance,” said Brent Vangolen, surface and base management technology manager with Occidental. Occidental is among the early adopters of new gas-lift methods along with companies including Chevron, Shell, ExxonMobil, Petronas, and ADNOC. Vangolen expects the industry will follow. “Gas lift is going through the same transformation as rod pumps went through in the 60s and 70s,” he said. Back then, rod pump engineers began tracking changes in the load on the rod through each pump stroke by using dynamometer cards. That data was used to better program pump controls. “You went from egg timers on pumping units to full-blown optimization pumpoff controllers, variable speed drives … this huge infant technology that changed the rod pump space,” he said. Papers at last year’s SPE artificial lift conference covered the continuing digitization in rod lift and that gas lift was finally moving in that direction.
