<p><em>The purpose of this study was to know: (1) Errors made by V semester students of Mathematics Education in working on the test of real analysis introduction. (2) Causes of errors done by student in working on the test of introduction of real analysis. This research method used descriptive method. Based on analysis of student answers and interviews showed that: (1) Students make errors: provide an option, conclusions given in the answer steps, determine the set of quadratic inequalities settlement, and determine infimum and suremum (2) The causes of the student</em><em> </em><em>error  in working on the test of introduction of real analysis are: Students are less in doing the proof, rush in solving problems, rarely solve problems that have high difficulty or high order thinking tests, students are weak in the ability of mathematical proof, and students are also not accustomed in answering questions with a structured pattern.</em></p>

This study aims to discuss the high order thinking skill approach in the sharah hadith method with regard to contemporary issues for the formulation of applied theology. This research method uses a qualitative type through literature study by applying the high order thinking skill approach. The results and discussion of this research include sharah hadith about kalam, tauhid science to applied theology, and from theology to service according to the high order thinking skill approach. The conclusion of this study is that the high order thinking skill approach allows being applied in the sharah hadith method with regard to contemporary issues for the formulation of applied theology. This study recommends the urgency of applying high order thinking skills as a research approach to contemporary issues in Islamic diversity.

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kemampuan awal matematis siswa terhadap penyelesaian soal-soal high order thinking ditinjau dari soal analisis, soal evaluasi, soal mencipta dan secara umum. Penelitian ini pun bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal high order thinking serta untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan siswa keliru dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal high order thinking. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode campuran dengan jenis embedded concurrent. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh terdapat pengaruh kemampuan awal matematis siswa terhadap penyelesaian soal high order thinking dalam segala aspek. Siswa dikategorikan mampu menyelesaikan soal-soal high order thinking. Faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan siswa keliru dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal high order thinking diantaranya adalah kurang teliti dalam proses pengerjaan soal, kemampuan awal matematis siswa yang rendah, proses yang dilalui selama pembelajaran tidak maksimal, kurangnya pemahaman siswa terhadap soal, ketidaklengkapan dalam membaca soal dan kurangnya perhatian dari orang tua.Kata Kunci: Analisis, Soal High Order Thinking, Kemampuan Awal.AbstractThis research aims to know the effect of prior mathematical students ability to solve on high order thinking questions looked by analysis question, evaluation question, creating question and genera question.This research also aims to know about students ability in solving high order thinking question and to know about the factors that cause students to be wrong in solving high order thinking questions. The research method that used is mixed method with embedded concurrent type. From the result of the research, it is gotten there is an effect of prior mathematical students ability to solve high order thinking question in all aspects. Students are categorized able to solve high order thinking questions. The factors that cause student to be wrong in solving high order thinking question are less careful in the process of solving the question, the prior mathematical students ability is low, the process traversed during learning is not maximal, the lack students understanding to the question, incompleteness in reading the questions and the lack of attention of their parents. The background of the research is the low assessment of high order thinking skills of students due to the conventional methods used by the school. The aims of this study are: (1) how student learning activities when using hybrid learning Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) and jigsaw, (2) how student learning activities when taught using the direct learning model, and (3) the effect of hybrid learning Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) and jigsaw towards high order thinking skills. This study used a quasi experimental nonequivalent control group design with the sample of 50 students from a population of vocational high school students in Ponorogo. Data collection techniques used instruments in the form of high order tests and non-test instruments in the form of observation sheets. Data analysis used was independent sample t-test. The results showed: (1) the use of Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) based on hybrid learning and jigsaw made 28% of students were very active, 28% of students active, and 44% of students quite active in the learning process, this was evidenced by an average value of 70.56, (2) the use of direct learning models in learning made 24% of students quite active, 36% of students less active, and 40% of students passive in the learning process, which can be seen from the acquisition of an average value of 51.52, and (3) there was a significant effect of Student Learning Achievement Division (STAD) based on hybrid learning and jigsaw on students' high order thinking skills.

Mahasiswa baru di kampus yang berbasis pendidikan vokasi memiliki background pendidikan yang berbeda. Kebanyakan dari mereka berasal dari sekolah menengah atas atau sederajat yang jurusannya bukan IPA. Hal ini menyebabkan mata kuliah Mikrobiologi Dasar di semester satu termasuk ke dalam mata kuliah yang sulit dipahami oleh mahasiswa dengan background di luar IPA. Selain itu, minimnya lembar kerja mahasiswa yang bisa mengasah daya pikir mereka adalah penyebab rendahnya hasil belajar pada mata kuliah ini. Hasil observasi menunjukkan banyak mahasiswa yang cukup kesulitan dalam memahami materi nutrisi mikroorganisme. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan Lembar Kerja Mahasiswa (LKM) pada materi Nutrisi Mikroorganisme berbasis High Order Thinking Skill (HOTS). Model pengembangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah 4-D dari Thiagarajan dengan mengadopsi tiga tahapan yaitu Define (Pendahuluan), Design (Perencanaan) dan Develop (Pengembangan). Hasil pengembangan menunjukkan bahwa 78% LKM dinilai layak. Kebahasaan LKM sebesar 72,5% dikategorikan layak dan penyajiannya sebesar 76,6% dikategorikan layak. Kegrafikan LKM sebesar 82,5% dikategorikan sangat layak. Hasil uji keterbacaan dari LKM adalah 71,78% dengan kriteria layak dan respon mahasiswa dalam menggunakan LKM, 90% menyatakan sangat baik.
