                                                          ABSTRACT The purpose of this research there are three. First, describe the skills listening appreciative poem grade XII SMA Negeri 2 Pariaman. Second, it describes the text short story writing skills of students of class XII SMA Negeri 2 Pariaman, and third, describing the correlation of the short story with appreciative listening skills writing skills text short grade XII SMA Negeri 2 Pariaman. Theory related to this research is the theory of (a) the skill of writing short stories, (b) the text of the short story, and (c) skills listening appreciative short story.This research type is quantitative descriptive method. The design used in this research is the design korelasional. The population of this research is to grade XII SMA Negeri 2 Pariaman are registered on the 2018/2019 academic year, i.e. 268 students. The sample in this research are determined by proportional random sampling of 15% of the population, i.e. 40 students. Research data is a score test results and appreciative listening skills short score test results text short story writing skills. results of the research there are three. First, the skill to listen appreciative short grade XII SMA Negeri 2 Pariaman is located on more than enough qualifications (LdC) with an average value of 75.21. Secondly, the text of the short story writing skills of students of class XII SMA Negeri 2 Pariaman is located on more than enough qualifications (LdC) with an average of 75.00. The data obtained through two types of tests i.e. objective tests to measure the skills of listening rhyme and performance tests to measure the skills of writing a text rhyme. The results of the research there are three. First, the skills of listening rhyme grade VII SMP Negeri 34 Padang are on good qualifications (B) by the value of the average 77,67. Second, the skills of writing rhyme grade VII SMP Negeri 34 Padang are on good qualifications (B) with an average of 82,31. Third, there is a contribution of listening skills rhyme to the skills of writing rhyme of class grade VII SMP Negeri 34 Padang at 57,15% Kata kunci: Kontribusi, Menyimak, Menulis, dan Pantun

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research there are three. First, describe vocabulary mastery Class VII students of SMP Negeri Padang 16. Second, it describes the text of the story of fantasy writing skills grade VII JUNIOR Country 16. Third, vocabulary mastery with correlation describes writing skills text story fantasy grade VII SMP Negeri Padang. 16.  This research type is quantitative descriptive method. The design used in this research is the design korelasional. This research population is grade VII SMP Negeri Padang 16. listed on the 2018/2019 school year, that is 284 students. The sample in this research are determined by proportional random sampling of 20% of the population, i.e. 50 students. Research data is a score test results and score vocabulary mastery test results writing skills text story fantasy. Research instrument is an objective test to measure mastery of vocabulary news and performance tests to measure the writing skills text story fantasy. Based on the results of such research, it can be inferred that the skills of listening text news is correlated with writing skills text news. The better mastery of the vocabulary the better news will also enhance the story text writing skills. Kata kunci: Korelasi, Kosakata, Menulis Teks Cerita Fantasi

The results of the research there are three. First, the skills of reading comprehension grade VIII SMP Negeri Padang 13 are on more than enough qualifications (LdC) by the value of the average 75.41. Second, the skills of writing text exposition grade VIII SMP Negeri Padang 13 are on good qualifications (B) with an average of 77.37. Third, there is a contribution of reading skills in the exposition of text to the skills of writing exposition texts of class grade VIII SMP Negeri Padang 13 at 62.77%. Kata kunci: Kontribusi, Keterampilan, Membaca Pemahaman, Menulis,                         Teks Eksposisi.

ABSTRACT This article reveals the contribution of skills reading comprehension text exposition to writing skills text description grade students VIII SMP Negeri Padang Panjang 2.. This research type is quantitative descriptive method. The design used in this research is the design contribution. This research population is grade VIII SMP Negeri 2 Padang Panjang are registered on the 12th school year 2018/2019, i.e. as many as 156 students. The sample in this research are determined by proportional random sampling of 25% of the population, i.e. 40 students. Research data is a score test results intermediate reading comprehension text exposition and score the writing skills test result text exposition. The data obtained through two types of tests i.e. objective tests to measure the skills of reading comprehension text exposition and performance tests to measure the skills of writing a text exposition. The results of the research there are three. First, the skills of reading comprehension text exposition grade VIII SMP Negeri Padang Panjang  2 are on good qualifications (B) by the value of the average 79.39. Second, the skills of writing text exposition grade VIII SMP Negeri Padang Panjang  2 are on good qualifications (B) with an average of 80.23. Third, there is a contribution of reading skills in the description of text to the skills of writing exposition texts of class grade VIII SMP Negeri Padang  Panjang 2 at 76,39%. Kata kunci: Kontribusi, Keterampilan, Membaca Pemahaman, Menulis, Teks Eksposisi

Research instrument is an objective test to measure the skills of reading comprehension text description and performance tests to measure the skills of writing a text description. The results of the research there are three. First, a text description of the writing skills of students of grade VII SMP Negeri 1 Bayang Utara lies on the qualifications of either (B). Second, the skills of reading comprehension text description grade VII SMP Negeri 1 Bayang Utara are on Good qualifications (B). The purpose of the research was to explain and analyze the short story writing skills improvement grades X1 SMA Pertiwi 1 Padang in terms of characterization, plot, and setting. This type of research is a classroom action research that uses four stages in each cycle, including planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research was conducted in two cycles. The data was collected through two main instruments, namely test and nontes. The test is used to collect data capability to write short stories, while the form of sheets nontes observation, field notes, and questionnaires were used to collect the data in the application of learning techniques paraphrasing poetry writing short stories. Analyzing data in accordance with the descriptive-analytical application of the concept of action research. Results of this study showed that the results of the students wrote short stories on pre-cycle obtain an average value of 58.89, cycle 1 with an average value of 77.04, and in cycle 2 the average score was 91.11.. The results showed an increase of pre-cycle students write short stories until the cycle 2.

This research originated from the low skills of grade IV SDN (public school) 1 Sigli students in writing short stories. Learning media to write short stories is an alternative means of delivering material to students through animated film media. This study aims to determine the improvement of short story writing skills using animated film media in fourth grade students of SDN 1 Sigli. This research is a classroom action research (CAR) which was conducted in three cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The subjects of this study were 24 students of grade IV SDN 1 Sigli, consisting of 12 female students and 12 male students. The data collection technique was done by using tests, observations, and field notes. The data analysis used was a comparative descriptive analysis technique. The results of data analysis showed that the acquisition of student learning outcomes with an average value in cycle I: 60%, cycle II: 80%, and cycle III: 91%. Thus it can be concluded, the use of animated film media can improve students' short story writing skills, and teachers always improve their skills in using instructional media. This can be seen from the cycles obtained by students in each cycle.
