Abstract In this paper, we first introduce the two-step intermixed iteration for finding the common solution of a constrained convex minimization problem, and also we prove a strong convergence theorem for the intermixed algorithm. By using our main theorem, we prove a strong convergence theorem for the split feasibility problem. Finally, we apply our main theorem for the numerical example.

AbstractThe purpose of this article is to study the method of approximation for zeros of the sum of a finite family of maximally monotone mappings and prove strong convergence of the proposed approximation method under suitable conditions. The method of proof is of independent interest. In addition, we give some applications to the minimization problems and provide a numerical example which supports our main result. Our theorems improve and unify most of the results that have been proved for this important class of nonlinear mappings.

AbstractIt is known that the normalized standard generators of the free orthogonal quantum groupO+Nconverge in distribution to a free semicircular system as N → ∞. In this note, we substantially improve this convergence result by proving that, in addition to distributional convergence, the operator normof any non-commutative polynomial in the normalized standard generators ofO+Nconverges asN→ ∞ to the operator norm of the corresponding non-commutative polynomial in a standard free semicircular system. Analogous strong convergence results are obtained for the generators of free unitary quantum groups. As applications of these results, we obtain a matrix-coefficient version of our strong convergence theorem, and we recover a well-knownL2-L∞norm equivalence for noncommutative polynomials in free semicircular systems.

Relatively nonexpansive mappings and equilibrium problems are considered based on a shrinking projection method. Using properties of the generalizedf-projection operator, a strong convergence theorem for relatively nonexpansive mappings and equilibrium problems is proved in Banach spaces under some suitable conditions.
