Co-Sleeping: Gender Differences in College Students' Retrospective Reports of Sleeping with Parents during Childhood

161 women and 111 men, Caucasian college students, provided retrospective information about their patterns of sleeping during childhood. The practice of co-sleeping was common, with 33.7% reporting that they co-slept in their parents' room during their first week after birth, 29.4% during the first month after birth, and 27.5% during their second month after birth. In addition, 6.3% of women and 11.9% of men reported that they co-slept during the entire first year after birth. Finally, a sex-specific pattern of co-sleeping was found with more women reporting that they co-slept with their parents during their first week and first month after birth, but a greater percentage of men than women reported that they co-slept with their parents at older ages. It appears that girls are removed from the parents' room at a younger age and more frequently than are boys.

Objective: To determine sexual risk behaviors among first semester college freshman during a three year period. Method: A sexual activity questionnaire was used to collect data from 778 students enrolled in an Introduction to University Life course. Results: Seventy-one percent of the students had engaged in intercourse, had a mean age of 18.2, a mean number of lifetime partners was 3.5, a mean age of first intercourse was 16.4, and a mean number of partners in the past 3 months was 1.3. Students had very low rates of reported STIs and over 60 percent used a condom the last time they had sex. Fifteen percent of first year college women and 16% of men had engaged in anal intercourse. Women who engaged in anal intercourse had first intercourse at a younger age, had a greater number of partners in the last 3 months, were happier with their body, and masturbated more. Men who had engaged in anal intercourse had first intercourse at a younger age, had a greater number of lifetime partners, had a greater number of partners in the last 3 months, and were happier with their body. Conclusion: This study underscores the importance of expanding our understanding of sexual behaviors of first year college students and openly addressing anal intercourse as a part of the sexual repertoire of college men and women.

The study focused basically on measuring the relationship between the material cost of the students benefits program and the benefits which are earned by it, which was distributed on college students in the initial stages (matinee) and to show the extent of the benefits accruing from the grant program compared to the material burdens which matched and the extent of success or failure of the experience and its effect from o scientific and side on the Iraqi student through these tough economic circumstances experienced by the country in general, and also trying to find ways of proposed increase or expansion of distribution in the future in the event of proven economic feasibility from the program. An data has been taking from the data fro the Department of Financial Affairs and the Department of Studies and Planning at the University of Diyala with taking an data representing an actual and minimized pattern and questionnaires to a sample of students from the Department of Life Sciences in the Faculty of Education of the University of Diyala on the level of success and failure of students in the first year of the grant and the year before for the purpose of distribution comparison. The importance of the study to measure the extent of interest earned in comparision whit the material which is expenseon the program of grant (grant of students) to assist the competent authorities to continue or not in the program of student grants for the coming years.
