AbstractIn this paper, we determine the eigenvalue intervals of λ 1, λ 2, ..., λ n for which the iterative system of nonlinear Sturm-Liouville fractional order two-point boundary value problem possesses a positive solution by an application of Guo-Krasnosel’skii fixed point theorem on a cone.

We investigate the eigenvalue intervals of [Formula: see text] for which the iterative system of four-point fractional-order boundary value problem has at least one positive solution by utilizing Guo–Krasnosel’skii fixed point theorem under suitable conditions. The obtained results in the paper are illustrated with an example for their feasibility.

Multi-point boundary value problem is studied in this paper. With the condition that nonlinear term is superlinear or sublinear, it is proved that there exists at least one positive solution to multi-point Sturm-Liouville boundary value problem by using the fixed-point theorem concerning cone expansion and compression of norm type.

Abstract In this paper, we consider the existence of multiple positive solutions for the 2𝑛th order 𝑚-point boundary value problem: where (0,1), 0 < ξ 1 < ξ 2 < ⋯ < ξ 𝑚–2 < 1. Using the Leggett–Williams fixed point theorem, we provide sufficient conditions for the existence of at least three positive solutions to the above boundary value problem. The associated Green's function for the above problem is also given.

We investigate the existence and uniqueness of positive solutions for the following singular fractional three-point boundary value problemD0+αu(t)+f(t,u(t))=0, 0<t<1, u(0)=u′(0)=u′′(0)=0,u′′(1)=βu′′(η), where3<α≤4,D0+αis the standard Riemann-Liouville derivative andf:(0,1]×[0,∞)→[0,∞)withlim t→0+f(t,·)=∞(i.e.,fis singular att=0). Our analysis relies on a fixed point theorem in partially ordered metric spaces.

In this paper, we develop criteria for the existence of multiple positive solutions for second order Sturm-Liouville boundary value problem, u 00 + k 2u + f(t, u) = 0, 0 ≤ t ≤ 1, au(0) − bu0 (0) = 0 and cu(1) + du0 (1) = 0, where k ∈ 0, π 2 is a constant, by an application of Avery–Henderson fixed point theorem.

Throughout this paper, via the Schauder fixed-point theorem, a generalization of Krasnoselskii’s fixed-point theorem in a cone, as well as some inequalities relevant to Green’s function, we study the existence of positive solutions of a nonlinear, fractional three-point boundary-value problem with a term of the first order derivative ( a C D α x ) ( t ) = f ( t , x ( t ) , x ′ ( t ) ) , a < t < b , 1 < α < 2 , x ( a ) = 0 , x ( b ) = μ x ( η ) , a < η < b , μ > λ , where λ = b − a η − a and a C D α denotes the Caputo’s fractional derivative, and f : [ a , b ] × R × R → R is a continuous function satisfying the certain conditions.

This paper investigates the solvability of a class of higher-order fractional two-point boundary value problem (BVP), and presents several new results. First, Green’s function of the considered BVP is obtained by using the property of Caputo derivative. Second, based on Schaefer’s fixed point theorem, the solvability of the considered BVP is studied, and a sufficient condition is presented for the existence of at least one solution. Finally, an illustrative example is given to support the obtained new results.

In this paper, we study the following fractional order three-point boundary value problem [Formula: see text] where [Formula: see text], are the standard Riemann–Liouville fractional order derivatives with [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text]: [Formula: see text] is continuous. By using several well-known fixed-point theorems in a cone, the existence of at least one and two positive solutions is obtained. Some examples are presented to illustrate the main results.
