We investigate the existence and multiplicity of positive solutions for a system of Riemann–Liouville fractional differential equations with r-Laplacian operators and nonnegative singular nonlinearities depending on fractional integrals, supplemented with nonlocal uncoupled boundary conditions which contain Riemann–Stieltjes integrals and various fractional derivatives. In the proof of our main results we apply the Guo–Krasnosel’skii fixed point theorem of cone expansion and compression of norm type.

In this paper, we consider generalized Laplacian problems with nonlocal boundary conditions and a singular weight, which may not be integrable. The existence of two positive solutions to the given problem for parameter λ belonging to some open interval is shown. Our approach is based on the fixed point index theory.

Abstract We study the existence and multiplicity of positive solutions to the periodic problem for a forced non-autonomous Duffing equation u ′′ = p ⁢ ( t ) ⁢ u - h ⁢ ( t ) ⁢ | u | λ ⁢ sgn ⁡ u + f ⁢ ( t ) ; u ⁢ ( 0 ) = u ⁢ ( ω ) , u ′ ⁢ ( 0 ) = u ′ ⁢ ( ω ) , u^{\prime\prime}=p(t)u-h(t)\lvert u\rvert^{\lambda}\operatorname{sgn}u+f(t);\quad u(0)=u(\omega),\ u^{\prime}(0)=u^{\prime}(\omega), where p , h , f ∈ L ⁢ ( [ 0 , ω ] ) p,h,f\in L([0,\omega]) and λ > 1 \lambda>1 . The obtained results are compared with the results known for the equations with constant coefficients.

Abstract We study the existence and multiplicity of positive solutions to the periodic problem u ′′ = p ⁢ ( t ) ⁢ u - q ⁢ ( t , u ) ⁢ u + f ⁢ ( t ) ; u ⁢ ( 0 ) = u ⁢ ( ω ) , u ′ ⁢ ( 0 ) = u ′ ⁢ ( ω ) , u^{\prime\prime}=p(t)u-q(t,u)u+f(t);\quad u(0)=u(\omega),\quad u^{\prime}(0)=u^{\prime}(\omega), where p , f ∈ L ⁢ ( [ 0 , ω ] ) p,f\in L([0,\omega]) and q : [ 0 , ω ] × R → R q\colon[0,\omega]\times\mathbb{R}\to\mathbb{R} is a Carathéodory function. By using the method of lower and upper functions, we show some properties of the solution set of the considered problem and, in particular, the existence of a minimal positive solution.

AbstractIn this paper, we consider the bifurcation curves and exact multiplicity of positive solutions of the one-dimensional Minkowski-curvature equation $$ \textstyle\begin{cases} - (\frac{u'}{\sqrt{1-u^{\prime \,2}}} )'=\lambda f(u), &x\in (-L,L), \\ u(-L)=0=u(L), \end{cases} $$ { − ( u ′ 1 − u ′ 2 ) ′ = λ f ( u ) , x ∈ ( − L , L ) , u ( − L ) = 0 = u ( L ) , where λ and L are positive parameters, $f\in C[0,\infty ) \cap C^{2}(0,\infty )$ f ∈ C [ 0 , ∞ ) ∩ C 2 ( 0 , ∞ ) , and $f(u)>0$ f ( u ) > 0 for $0< u< L$ 0 < u < L . We give the precise description of the structure of the bifurcation curves and obtain the exact number of positive solutions of the above problem when f satisfies $f''(u)>0$ f ″ ( u ) > 0 and $uf'(u)\geq f(u)+\frac{1}{2}u^{2}f''(u)$ u f ′ ( u ) ≥ f ( u ) + 1 2 u 2 f ″ ( u ) for $0< u< L$ 0 < u < L . In two different cases, we obtain that the above problem has zero, exactly one, or exactly two positive solutions according to different ranges of λ. The arguments are based upon a detailed analysis of the time map.

This paper discusses the existence and multiplicity of positive solutions for fractional differential equations with nonlocal fractional integro-differential boundary conditions set on an unbounded domain. Using properties of Green’s function and the fixed point theory, some existence results were obtained. Three examples illustrate the existence theorems.

Aims/ Objectives: In this paper, we study the existence, nonexistence and multiplicity of positive solutions to the n−dimensional elliptic system  systems have been widely studied, but there is relatively little research on n-dimensional elliptic systems. We are very interested in this subject and want to study it. We give new conclusions on the existence, nonexistence and multiplicity of positive solutions for the n-dimensional elliptic system. Study Design: Study on the existence, nonexistence and multiplicity of positive solutions. Place and Duration of Study: School of Applied Science, Beijing Information Science & Technology University, September 2019 to present. Methodology: We prove the existence, nonexistence and multiplicity of positive solutions by the results of fixed point index. Results: We give new conclusions of existence, nonexistence and multiplicity of positive solutionsfor the system. Conclusion: We prove the existence, nonexistence and multiplicity of positive solutions to the n-dimensional elliptic system   and give new conclusions.

Abstract We consider a nonlinear boundary value problem with degenerate nonlocal term depending on the L q -norm of the solution and the p-Laplace operator. We prove the multiplicity of positive solutions for the problem, where the number of solutions doubles the number of “positive bumps” of the degenerate term. The solutions are also ordered according to their L q -norms.

AbstractIn this paper, we discuss the existence and multiplicity of positive solutions for a system of fractional differential equations with boundary condition and advanced arguments. The existence result is proved via Leray–Schauder’s fixed point theorem type in a vector Banach space. Further, by using a new fixed point theorem in order Banach space, we study the multiplicity of positive solutions. Finally, some examples are given to illustrate our results.
