Matrix Neuro-Fuzzy Self-Organizing Clustering NetworkIn this article the problem of clustering massive data sets, which are represented in the matrix form, is considered. The article represents the 2-D self-organizing Kohonen map and its self-learning algorithms based on the winner-take-all (WTA) and winner-take-more (WTM) rules with Gaussian and Epanechnikov functions as the fuzzy membership functions, and without the winner. The fuzzy inference for processing data with overlapping classes in a neural network is introduced. It allows one to estimate membership levels for every sample to every class. This network is the generalization of a vector neuro- and neuro-fuzzy Kohonen network and allows for data processing as they are fed in the on-line mode.

There are many algorithms and techniques for estimating the reliability of Component Based Software Systems (CBSSs). Accurate esti-mation depends on two factors: component reliability and glue code reliability. Still much more research is expected to estimate reliability in a better way. A number of soft computing approaches for estimating CBSS reliability has been proposed. These techniques learnt from the past and capture existing patterns in data. In this paper, we proposed new model for estimating CBSS reliability known as Modified Neuro Fuzzy Inference System (MNFIS). This model is based on four factors Reusability, Operational, Component dependency, Fault Density. We analyze the proposed model for diffent data sets and also compare its performance with that of plain Fuzzy Inference System. Our experimental results show that, the proposed model gives better reliability as compare to FIS.

AbstractIn this paper, a new approach for Neuro-Fuzzy Controller (NFC) has been presented and compared to previously defined NFCs given in open literature. The proposed controller is based on an on-line Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) and meticulous analysis through simulations is performed to show its robustness. The performance of Neuro-Fuzzy Controllers (NFC) depends on controller inputs. To show the difference and superiority of the proposed controller, many studies in the open literature are examined and compared. Therefore, the advantages and disadvantages of the Neuro-Fuzzy controller are outlined and an optimum Neuro-Fuzzy controller is structured and presented. To test our developed controller for a nonlinear problem, having coupling effects, a 2 DOF helicopter model is chosen. Also to show the robustness, the controller performance which is applied to a 2 DOF helicopter is investigated and compared with other Neuro-Fuzzy controller structures. To better show NFC performance, NFC control results were compared with LQR+I. It is observed that besides being on-line adaptive for all systems, the controller developed has many priorities such as noiseless, strong stability, and better response time.

The paper investigates methods of artificial intelligence in the prognostication and analysis of financial data time series. It is uncovered that scholars and practitioners face some difficulties in modelling complex system such as the stock market because it is nonlinear, chaotic, multi- dimensional, and spatial in nature, making forecasting a complex process. Models estimating nonstationary financial time series may include noise and errors. The relationship between the input and output parameters of the models is essentially non-linear, where stock prices include higher-level variables, which complicates stock market modeling and forecasting. It is also revealed that financial time series are multidimensional and they are influenced by many factors, such as economics, politics, environment and so on. Analysis and evaluation of multi- dimensional systems and their forecasting should be carried out by machine learning models. The problem of forecasting the stock market and obtaining quality forecasts is an urgent task, and the methods and models of machine learning should be the main mathematical tools in solving the above problems. First, we proposed to use self-organizing map, which is used to visualize multidimensional data by configuring neurons to quantize or cluster the input space in the topological structure. These characteristics of this algorithm make it attractive in solving many problems, including clustering, especially for forecasting stock prices. In addition, the methods discussed, encourage us to apply this cluster approach to present a different data structure for forecasting. Thus, models of adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system combine the characteristics of both neural networks and fuzzy logic. Given the fact that the rule of hybrid learning and the theory of logic is a clear advantage of adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system, which has computational advantages over other methods of parameter identification, we propose a new hybrid algorithm for integrating self-organizing map with adaptive fuzzy inference system to forecast stock index prices. This algorithm is well suited for estimating the relationship between historical prices in stock markets. The proposed hybrid method demonstrated reduced errors and higher overall accuracy.

This paper illustrates a comparison study of Fuzzy and ANFIS Controller for Inverted Pendulum systems. IP belongs to a class of highly non-linear, unstable and multi-variable systems which act as a testing bed for many complex systems. Initially, a Matlab-Simulink model of IP system was proposed. Secondly, a Fuzzy logic controller was designed using Mamdani inference system for control of proposed model. The data sets from fuzzy controller was used for development of a Hybrid Sugeno ANFIS controller. The results shows that ANFIS controller provides better results in terms of Performance parameters including Settling time(sec), maximum overshoot(degree) and steady state error.
