The  OBJECTIVE  of the  study  is to assess the  possibilities of using  endoscopic techniques in the  treatment of diseases of  the  artificial  esophagus. MATERIAL AND METHODS.  Esophagoplasty for  benign   diseases of  the  esophagus  was performed in 184  patients. 73  patients were  diagnosed with diseases of the  artificial esophagus and  underwent various endoscopic  interventions. RESULTS.   Restoring patency of  the  anastomosis was  achieved in  all  cases of  esophageal anastomotic stenoses   (68).   No   complications  were   observed.   Endoscopic  interventions  in  other   diseases  of  the artificial  esophagus allowed   improving  the  quality  of  life,  restoring patency  or  preparing  the  patient   for  intervention. CONCLUSION.  Endoscopic methods of treatment of diseases of the artificial esophagus are highly effective, allowing to  restore patency of the  artificial esophagus and  esophageal anastomoses.  These interventions should  be  carried  out in the specialized departments.

Uterine fibroids are one of the main causes of hysterectomy. This radical method of treatment allows to control such symptoms as pain and bleeding, but significantly worsens womens quality of life, preventing them from their childbearing function. This article includes the results of domestic and foreign studies on organ-preserving methods of treatment of uterine fibroids published within 10 years. The method of uterine artery embolization, which is preferred by an increasing number of doctors and patients suffering from fibroids, is also described in the article. The search for articles was carried out in the databases Pubmed, Web of Science, Scopus.

The palliative care patient is definitely a unique type of patient. Due to the complexity of the symptoms requires a holistic therapeutic approach. Modern methods of treatment in palliative and hospice care underline an important role of physio, kinesiotherapy and pharmacological treatment coexistence. The rehabilitation reduces clinical symptoms, accompanying the basic disease and increases the quality of life of palliative patients and their families. It becomes an inseparable element of treatment, both in outpatient care as well as in stationary care and home care. Due to the high dynamics onset of cancer in the group of geriatric patients there is a need for a broader analysis of the topic. The goal of palliative care is to achieve the best possible quality of life for patients and their families.

In a phase II study of combined adriamycin, L-PAM, and methotrexate with citrovorum factor rescue, 14 of 15 patients with primary advanced or recurrent ovarian malignant tumors obtained an objective remission. In remission, all patients improved their quality of life. So far the median duration of remission is 5+ months for the complete responders and 7 months for the partial responders. Myelosuppression of varying severity occurred in 93 % of the courses. The regimen proved highly effective, although toxic in some advanced patients.

n recent years, Russia has seen an increase in the incidence of malignant tumors of the mouth and throat, including tongue cancer. Surgical methods of treatment of cancer of such localization have a crippling character and inevitably lead to disruption of a number of vital functions, including the development of tooth-jaw deformities, which further deteriorates the quality of life of such patients. Timely prescription of orthodontic devices for prophylactic and therapeutic purposes allows to prevent the development of tooth jaw abnormalities and deformities, as well as to treat the already developed pathology.

Congenital epidermolysis bullosa is a clinically and genetically heterogenous group of hereditary skin diseases characterized by the formation of bullae and/or erosions in response to insignificant mechanical effect. The variety and severity of clinical manifestations of the disease determine the early disablement of patients and the decrease in the quality of life, which requires the development of pathogenetic and etiological methods of treatment. Methods of gene therapy are the most promising direction to study, since they can affect the cause of congenital epidermolysis bullosa.

Difficulties in treating patients with rheumatological diseases are due to the complexity and versatility of pathogenesis, frequent comorbidity and advanced age of the majority of such patients. The use of non-pharmacological methods of treatment, including physical methods, enhances the analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect, improves tissue trophism and promotes the activation of reparative processes, slows down the progression of the disease and generally improves the quality of life of patients. In the complex treatment and rehabilitation of rheumatological patients, the use of magnetotherapy seems to be a method that is well substantiated by the data of numerous fundamental and modern clinical studies.

Prediabetes is defined as a state of abnormal glucose homeostasis where blood glucose levels are elevated above those considered normal, but not as high as those required for a diagnosis of diabetes. Prediabetes is associated with high risks of developing serious diseases and poor quality of life of the patient. Globally, there are about 352.1 million people with prediabetes. By 2045, the number of able-bodied patients with a similar diagnosis is expected to double to 587 million. In this connection, timely diagnosis and identification of risk groups for the correction of carbohydrate metabolism is of great importance. The article provides data from numerous studies, a description of tactics and methods of treatment for patients with prediabetes.
