Whereas the so-called ‘citizenship premium’ in the labour market has been widely studied, we know little about how naturalisation affects immigrants’ lives beyond work and income. Focusing on the Netherlands, this paper analyses the relationship between citizenship acquisition and immigrant residential mobility, in particular the propensity of immigrants to move away from areas with high concentrations of migrants. We draw on register data from Statistics Netherlands ( N = 234,912). We argue that possessing Dutch citizenship reduces spatial stratification by diminishing the risk of housing market discrimination, thereby facilitating mobility outside of migrant-concentrated areas. Our findings show that naturalised immigrants are 50% more likely to move out of concentrated neighbourhoods, all else constant. The effect of naturalisation is especially relevant for renting without housing benefits and for home ownership, and for mid-risk immigrants who earn around the median income and hold permanent jobs, whose applications face strong scrutiny from landlords, rental agencies and mortgage lenders.

This research assesses the relationship between service quality, value, satisfaction, and brand trust on the behavioral loyalty of international tourists acting as medical tourists toward private hospital medical services in the Bangkok Metropolitan area. A quantitative study was performed using 400 international tourists who use medical service from private hospitals in Thailand. Structural equation analysis is used to test the hypotheses. The results indicate that there are significant positive relationships between service quality and value (H1), satisfaction (H2), and brand trust (H3). Value (H4), satisfaction (H5), and brand trust (H6) have significant positive relationships with behavioral loyalty. Service quality has an indirect effect on behavioral loyalty by having value, satisfaction, and brand trust function as mediators. Finally, nationality has no moderating effect on the relationship between service quality and value (H7), satisfaction (H8), and brand trust (H9).

We conducted shaking-table tests to clarify the seismic shutoff features of intelligent gas meters stopping the supply of gas during earthquakes where Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd., provides service, and studied the relationship between earthquake movement and gas meter shutoff based on 200,000 monitored archive data points showing shutoff situations during actual seismic movement.

The present study examined the effect of residential mobility on impression formation. In the study, participants were first engaged in a residential mobility priming task where they were asked to imagine and describe either frequent moving life (high-mobility condition) or less frequent moving life (low-mobility condition). They then evaluated their attitudes toward four types of target persons: competent vs. incompetent and warm vs. cold. As a result, in the high-mobility condition, the effect of competence was observed only when participants evaluated a warm person, whereas in the low-mobility condition, it appeared only when participants evaluated a cold person. The potential influence of individual residential mobility on the relationship formation is also discussed.
