The aim of the study is to investigate the mediator role of life satisfaction in the relationship between emotional labor behaviors and depression levels among flight cabin crew. Participants were consisted of 222 (183 women and 39 men) between the ages from 23 to 45 (M=28.75, SD=4.63). Mediation modeling was tested by the bootstrapping sampling method (PROCESS-Model 4) and the results demonstrated that life satisfaction mediated the relationship between emotional labor behaviors, particularly surface acting, deep acting and naturally felt emotion, and depression. The findings provide information to understand the underlying mechanism of depression among workers especially work in an emotional labor industry and promising implications to improve intervention programs within life satisfaction among flight cabin crew for airlines companies. Ethical leadership is become fundamental part for the developing businesses. Due to need of caring and ethical leaders the study consider the ethical leadership aspects by considering follower’s personality traits and inadvertent effects of emotional labor on follower’s job performance and follower’s perceived stress. This implies that when leaders have high and low level of ethical leadership they show an increase in followers’ management of emotions. Study also examined that how ethical leadership influences the organizational outcomes by considering the mediating role of emotional labor and moderating role of personality traits. Questionnaire survey was used to collect the data by different banks of Gujranwala city. 200 responses were collected within one month. Result divulged that ethical leadership has negative effect on follower’s perceived stress and positive impact on follower’ job performance. After applying different statistical tools results indicated that in high ethical leadership employees not show their regulated emotions then followers stress level will increase and their performance of the job will decrease. Findings show that in moderate level ethical leadership employees showed their genuine emotions which increases their job performance and decreases their stress. Results revealed that employees management of emotions (surface acting and deep acting ) increases the employees job performance and decreases the followers perceived stress when followers personality traits are moderated. Considering the role of life satisfaction of an employee’s as vital factor for employees' performance which directly affects the firms' success, this study explores the role of emotional labor as an antecedent of life satisfaction via mediating role of the job engagement of bank officers working in private and public banks of Pakistan. The sample of 314 employees of officer rank 314 employees of banking sector are selected randomly for data collection. Results of cross-sectional data of 314 employees working in both private and public sector banks of Pakistan predict that employees having higher emotional labor have lesser job engagements, reducing overall life satisfaction of an employee. For genializing the result this kind of research may include the broad sample i.e., Islamabad, Bahawalpur, Faisalabad, Multan, and Karachi. In future this type of research will also be conducted on the telecom, education, textile sector and education sector.
