This study aims to explore the intergenerational knowledge transfer mechanism in family frms. Using the case study method, this qualitative research examines 14 family frms. Data were obtained through semi-structured inter views with participants, and then analyzed by using content analysis. Visual mapping and temporal bracketing techniques were also used for data analysis. Data source triangulation and member checking methods were utilized to test the validity and reliability of the data. The fndings show that interpersonal relationship between the predecessor (parents) and the successor (children) is needed in the knowledge transfer process. The physical presence of the predecessor and the direct involvement of the successor in the business are two important elements in the knowledge transfer process, wherein the successor obtains information from inside and outside the frm. The intergenerational knowledge transfer process allows the successor to get real experiences and to run their own experiments. Learning-by-doing is a knowledge transfer method that is commonly used in family firms. Keywords: family business company, predecessor, successor, transfer knowledge.

<p>We report the hypothesis-driven development of a new aminoxyl radical catalyst, CHAMPO, for the electrochemical diazidation of alkenes. Mediated by an anodically generated charge-transfer complex in the form of CHAMPO–N3, the radical diazidation was achieved across a broad scope of structurally diverse alkenes. Preliminary mechanistic data lend support for a dual catalytic role of the aminoxyl serving as both a single-electron oxidant and a radical group transfer agent.</p>

Electron spin resonance has become a major tool for investigating biological one-electron or radical group transfer. The scope and limitations of this method are considered and emphasis is placed on the first of the following two questions that govern the field: (1) What is the structure, stability and potential biological function of radicals that might occur as biological intermediates? (2) Which radicals have been demonstrated up to now as ( a ) occurring in biological reactions, ( b ) being essential biological intermediates? The two questions deserve independent consideration and supplement each other. However, the second question can hardly be decided before the first one, though there may be a severe temptation to claim the occurrence or even stabilization of a certain radical without any structural evidence. Among the free radicals considered here are phenoxyls, mercaptyls, semidiones, (aza)semi-quinones (from flavins and pteridines), and metal-stabilized radicals.

This paper uses the valuation of Xiu River Hydrological Regulating services in Jiangxi province, China as a case study to compare 3 methods to value the ecosystem services, i.e improved contingent valuation method, choice based conjoint analysis and special benefit transfer method. Willingness to pay is estimated by using Logit and Clogit with contrasting controls for non-protests residents. This study discusses the implications of these findings and direction for related future researches into the ecosystem services valuation in China. Appropriate methods should be used for different valuation proposes, rather than blindly using special benefit transfer method just for its convenience. China should construct Ecosystem services value table based on Chinese case studies.

Nitrogen-containing compounds are an essential motif in all disciplines of chemistry and the efficient synthesis of these frameworks is a highly sought-after goal. Presented here is a summary of recent efforts conducted by our group to develop radical-mediated amination strategies for the formal synthesis of primary amines from alkenes with exclusive anti-Markovnikov regioselectivity. We have found that N-hydroxyphthalimide is an effective reagent capable of supplying both the N and H atoms for alkene hydroamination in a group transfer radical addition-type mechanism. Furthermore, allyl-oxyphthalimide derivatives are similarly capable of radical group transfers and allow for the aminoallylation of an external alkene.

A social movement has various bases, one of them is religion. In the context of a social movement basic, religion can be an effective medium to mobilize people. Religion has a significant element to do the structural-developmental framing (framing process). The framing process can form a core of a moment and an event becoming a valuable experience. This experience will be organized to guide of doing an action. This research analyzes how the structure and the framing process that are done by two Islamic radical/extreme groups. While others analyze the framing structure from the media perspective, this research sees the actor of its social movement by taking the case study of Islamic radical organization namely Jama’ah Ansharu Khilafah Daulah Nusantara (JADKN) and Jamaah Ansharusy Syariahi (JAS). This research uses a qualitative method by doing an interview and document study as the technique of collecting the data. The result shows that other than similarity, these differences are found relating to the framing process and the structure executed by these two Islamic radical groups even though they are identified as the radical group as well.
