How can Māori culturally preferred pedagogies be implemented in a secondary classroom in a unit standard assessment context? What impact does this implementation have on the emotional engagement, intellectual reasoning and intrinsic growth of the learners? This research was undertaken by way of “interviews as chat” and journal recording, followed by a collaborative storying session which occurred around emerging themes. Formative data collection occurred from a question/suggestion box, work samples, attendance data and my journal. Lastly summative data was collected through a second round of interviews. This research concludes that a collaborative exploration of ako Māori is of significant benefit to Māori learners, although the Pākehā-centric assessment system restricts a teacher's ability to fully embrace a kaupapa Māori educational paradigm.

The teaching and learning process really requires an assessment to find out the effectiveness of the learning that has been done. Assessment in the learning process aims to determine various issues related to development and reciprocity, so that learning is expected to be oriented towards developing an assessment of the quality of learning in school. The results of the assessment can be used by the teacher to improve learning activities. In this case, the assessment must be seen as an important thing that can give ideas for the teacher to carry out further learning. General subjects in MI Muhammadiyah 5 Wonoasri use the KTSP curriculum. In line with the characteristics of the competency-based curriculum that is oriented to mastery of competencies, the assessment system applied is in the form of a competency-based assessment system. Thus the standard of educational assessment for competency-based curriculum is a standard assessment system that is oriented to the level of mastery of competencies targeted in the curriculum. In the 2013 curriculum carried out on religious subjects, the assessment carried out was authentic assessment.

The use of assessments that require rater judgment (i.e., rater-mediated assessments) has become increasingly popular in high-stakes language assessments worldwide. Using a systematic literature review, the purpose of this study is to identify and explore the dominant methods for evaluating rating quality within the context of research on large-scale rater-mediated language assessments. Results from the review of 259 methodological and applied studies reveal an emphasis on inter-rater reliability as evidence of rating quality that persists across methodological and applied studies, studies primarily focused on rating quality and studies not primarily focused on rating quality, and across multiple language constructs. Additional findings suggest discrepancies in rating designs used in empirical research and practical concerns in performance assessment systems. Taken together, the findings from this study highlight the reliance upon aggregate-level information that is not specific to individual raters or specific facets of an assessment context as evidence of rating quality in rater-mediated assessments. In order to inform the interpretation and use of ratings, as well as the improvement of rater-mediated assessment systems, rating quality indices are needed that go beyond group-level indicators of inter-rater reliability, and provide diagnostic evidence of rating quality specific to individual raters, students, and other facets of the assessment system. These indicators are available based on modern measurement techniques, such as Rasch measurement theory and other item response theory approaches. Implications are discussed as they relate to validity, reliability/precision, and fairness for rater-mediated assessments.

Due to the economic trends around the world and the strong support and guidance of relevant governments, the number of entrepreneurial projects has soared in China. It is necessary to construct a standard assessment system for entrepreneurial projects that is comprehensive and effective. This study extracted six dimensions and 23 criteria for evaluating entrepreneurial projects. This study applies the best and worst methods to obtain the weights of the dimensions and criteria. Then, the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to an Ideal Solution method was used to evaluate the entrepreneurial projects in an entrepreneurial competition. The results show that team quality, the business model and entrepreneurship ability are the three most important dimensions for evaluating entrepreneurial projects. The improvement of the innovating ability, the training of the team and the value proposition are the three keys to successful implementation of the entrepreneurial projects.
