The role of the natural hypoxic environment of the middle mountains in the growth of the erythrocyte link of the blood - erythrocytes, hemoglobin and the level of the average concentration of hemoglobin in erythrocytes, reflecting the level of iron sufficiency in the blood in children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) is shown. The results of clinical blood tests showed that after 10-day courses of recovery in the mountains in the blood of children there are compensatory reactions associated with the restructuring of the body's blood supply - an increase in the number of red blood cells due to their intake from blood depots, which allows an increase in the level of hemoglobin and the volume of oxygen carried and improves blood circulation in the body of children.

The review presents an analysis of the mechanisms of iron effect on the brain development. The importance of iron deficiency in the perinatal period is considered as a risk factor for the development of neuropsychiatric disorders in children with autism spectrum disorders (ASDs). Possible causes of sideropenia are discussed; data on haematological and biochemical parameters characterizing iron metabolism in children with ASDs are presented. The demand for studying the role of iron metabolism imbalance in the development of neuropsychiatric disorders in order to clarify pathogenetic mechanisms of ASDs and to determine methods for their correction is emphasized.

Abstract This study aims to add to the body of knowledge on the experiences of families of children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) with the goal of promoting increased participation in community activities. Five factors associated with participation in activities at an art museum were explored, comparing families of children with and without ASD. These factors included both children's frequency of participation and parents' perceptions of the importance of community activities. The differences between groups were statistically significant. Parents of children without ASD reported their children's frequency of participation in museum activities was three times more than parents of children with ASD. Parents of children with ASD reported experiencing three times as many negative emotions associated with museum activities than parents of children without ASD.

It is difficult to find place among peers for children with autism spectrum disorders, so it is necessary to equip them for this with as many instruments as possible. Sport can be a support and a guide to the society for many children, because a good player is valued in any team, even if he is a bit strange and does not quite fit into the team. The co-founder, head of the Israeli Center for Correction of Autism and Learning Problems «SULAMOT Group» and the mother of an adolescent with autism is reflecting on the questions of the role of sport in habilitation and socialization of children with autism spectrum disorders.

The cross-over effect of the influence of the hypoxic environment and physical activity, designated as “cross-adaptation”, on the health promotion of children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) was investigated. A model has been developed for correcting the health of children with ASD on the basis of systematic seasonal 10-day physical training courses in a natural moderately hypoxic environment. Systematic health improvement courses with the use of special physical exercises in conditions of natural mountain hypoxia develop cellular and humoral mechanisms of immune responses, increase immunity, improve the physical and psycho-emotional state of children. Among 50 young and adolescent children diagnosed with ASD, after 4 10-day health improvement courses during the year, 20% of young children and 80% of adolescents showed an increase in the activity of cellular and humoral immunity. The proposed model for correcting the health of children with ASD is a promising universal non-drug way to increase immunity, stimulate the processes of adaptation and socialization of children with ASD. In the opinion of parents, after health improvement courses, many children have a desire to communicate with both parents and other children.
