This study aimed to determine sense of coherence and its relationship with self-construal in parents of children with cancer in southeastern Iran. In this descriptive correlational study, 127 parents of children with cancer were studied using sense of coherence scale (SOC) and self-construal scale (SCS) in Iran. The results of the study showed that total mean score of SOC was 51.4 ± 14.2 and the interdependent self-construal (INT) in parents was higher than independent self-construal (IND). Also, the relationship between SOC and SCS showed that IND had a positive and statistically significant relationship with SOC manageability subscale. The weak SOC in the studied parents can cause more stress and suffering in dealing with their child’s disease. It is essential that health care providers provide a comprehensive program to enhance parents’ SOC and it should be noted that people who have a more INT felt less able to manage challenging situations.

Abstract StudentU is a comprehensive program that provides education, nutrition, and social support services to disadvantaged middle and high school students outside of the regular school day. In this paper I investigate the effects of this multi-year program on the early high school outcomes of participating students by exploiting data from oversubscribed admissions lotteries. I find that the subgroup of lottery winners who entered the comprehensive program with low baseline achievement earned more course credits (0.82 credits), achieved higher grade point averages (0.37 grade points), and were less likely to be suspended (17.1 percentage points) during ninth grade than their lottery loser counterparts. Investigation of intervening variables indicates that on-time grade progress and decreases in course failure and disciplinary infractions are potential mediating channels. Using an index of early high school outcomes, I predict that lottery winners are around 4 percentage points more likely to graduate from high school than lottery losers (5 percent effect). These results suggest that comprehensive services delivered outside of the regular school day have the potential to improve the educational outcomes of disadvantaged students.

This article introduces briefly current status in managing type 2 diabetes (T2D) and an updated classical standardized comprehensive program which combines optimal medical treatment (OMT) with lifestyle modification, that is, intervention of RT-ABCDEFG (iRT-ABCDEFG) for control and prevention of T2D, and discusses its advantages and prospects. Here, G means goals; F means follow-up; E means examination; D means disease & risk factors control; C means changing unhealthy “environment-sleep-emotion-exercise-diet” intervention [E(e)SEEDi] lifestyle & Chinese medicine or control the source of infection & cutting genetic or spreading pathways during the COVID-19 pandemic; B means biohazard control; And A means antagonistic treatment, such as optimal anti-diabetic agents, the glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor (GLPR) agonists, the sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitors, and the ultralong-acting, once-daily basal insulin. As a novel strategy for Intervention of diabetes, this program can be used as a Reverse, Right, and Routine Treatment in clinical practice. Moreover, the vital goals which include less major adverse cardiocerebrovascular events (MACCE) and diabetic complications, less medical costs, longer life expectancy, lower morbidity and mortality, and higher quality of life, will be realized by consistently practicing this program due to early diagnosis, OMT, and overall prevention. Whatever, this program is very helpful to manage or self-manage T2D and improve its outcomes since it highly links to cardiovascular disease (CVD), stroke, cancer, and other MACCEs.

Active imagination is a kind of dialogue that a person conducts with different parts of “ego”. The article has expressed the need to introduce a comprehensive program for the development of active imagination and its constellations in adolescents. Thepurposeofthearticle is to elaborate a model for imagination development, particularly active, in adolescents; to justify the comprehensive program for the develop-ment of adolescents’ imagination at the psychologi-cal level using pedagogical methods and to approbate the comprehensive program in the educational space. Researchmethods: “The achievement motive” (mod-ified by M. Mahomed-Eminova), “Diagnostics of per-sonal creativity” (O. Tunik), “Diagnostics of non-verbal creativity” (a short form of the Torrance Test adapted by A.V oronina), “Diagnostics of linguistic-cognitive creativity” (T. Halkina, L. Aleksieieva). Results.Upon indicators of achievement motivation of adolescents, there is a prevalence of the motive to avoid failures that indicates their low self-esteem, a lack of confidence and organization etc. Most respondents have also shown average and below average levels of the devel-opment of non-verbal and verbal-cognitive creativity. The research has established that personal creativity is at the average development level, which is manifested in curiosity, the ability to imagine and complicity of think-ing. An indicator of risk tolerance is at a low level given respondents’ tender age and adolescent crisis. Under-developed creative component of active imagination leads to the loss of further productivity of an adolescent and his becoming as a whole. Conclusions. Indicators of the ascertaining stage of the study have confirmed the undeveloped active imagination of adolescents and its main constellations that prompts the imple-mentation of the program of psychological influence on the development of imagination. Post-formative actions have proved the availability of positive dynam-ics in the development of active imagination and its main components at a statistically significant level. This is a key proof of the effectiveness of the author’s comprehensive program that approves its introduction in the psychological and pedagogical process of inter-action between adolescents and grown-ups.Keyw ords:imagination, active imagination, constella-tions of active imagination, program for development of active imagination.
