The main themes for fire safety planning may be described as follows ; Prevention of outbreak and growth of fire , Fire protection of Building structures, smoke control and escape planning. Fire load in a building can be roughly classified into 3 groups: (a). buildings materials, (b). furniture, and (c). daily goods. Building materials including linings, interior material of walls, ceilings, floors, partition walls, etc, and daily goods such as books, clothes, and so on.

The paper deals with the solution of interconnections of flue and combustible construction products in the fire safety design. It is focused mainly on a prescribed value of safe distance of the wooden building construction from a single-walled metal chimneys. The aim of article is to point out the necessity to solve the contradictory requirements in the Slovak legislation and inconsistency with the foreign regulations in terms of fire rates caused by chimneys and flues.

In this Study, to secure data for the fire safety design of buildings, we calculated the fire load of domestic buildings through combustible investigation and based on existing studies. In addition, we classified the use of rooms according to the purpose of building. In addition, we reclassified the survey data and compared it with data from Japan. The comparison showed that the living room fire load was 417.14 (MJ/m<sup>2</sup>), the bedroom fire loads of buildings except housing were 1,005.9 (MJ/m<sup>2</sup>), and the fire loads of office facilities and similar facilities were 1,354.8 (MJ/m<sup>2</sup>). These values are 1.8 to 4.3 times higher than the Japanese standard.

When large building being renovation, the new fire control design problem has being came out. A comprehensive transformation of architectural analysis and performance-based fire safety design is very important. In this paper, performance-based fire safety design in the transformation of engineering for the issue, analyze and explain the design of specific operating plans and evacuation design should be pay attention to.
