Tooth loss is a common problem in adults. the negative effects of tooth loss are decreased chewing and speech function, reduced aesthetics, and migration of adjacent teeth. Many types of dental prosthetics can be used to prevent these negative effects, such as removable partial dentures, adhesive resin dentures, fixed partial dentures, and dental implants each prosthesis had its advantages and disadvantages. In this case report the clinician will discuss about single tooth implants. The aim of this case report is to provide information about the procedure for placement single tooth implants to the posterior mandibular teeth using the screw retained implant technique.

Aim:Dental injuries, especially luxation and avulsion, are common. Dental trauma can cause alveolar bone fracture that can lead to tooth loss and malocclusion. Single tooth alveolar bone fractures are difficult to identify unless it protrudes through the overlying mucosa and can be visualized. Pain, malocclusion, and tooth mobility provide signs of suspected alveolar bone fractures. Integrity of the proximate alveolar bone should be examined for fractures where avulsion, luxation, or other tooth trauma is detected. Any suggestion of alveolar fractures should be further investigated with an appropriate radiograph.Summary:This case report shows a pathognomonic sign that detects and diagnosis single tooth alveolar bone fractures,i.e., a localized hematoma crossing the attached gingiva from the free gingival margin to the vestibular mucosa. This should serve as a warning for localized alveolar bone fracture.A visualized hematoma and gentle, careful palpation may help detect covered fractures when the overlying mucosa is not perforated.

The article considers the role of trust in the economy, the mechanisms of its accumulation and the possibility of using it as one of the growth factors in the future. The advantages and disadvantages of measuring the level of generalized trust using two alternative questions — about trusting people in general and trusting strangers — are analyzed. The results of the analysis of dynamics of the level of generalized trust among Russian youth, obtained within the study of the Institute for National Projects in 10 regions of Russia, are presented. It is shown that there are no significant changes in trust in people in general during the study at university. At the same time, the level of trust in strangers falls, which can negatively affect the level of trust in the country as a whole, and as a result have negative effects on the development of the economy in the future. Possible causes of the observed trends and the role of universities are discussed. Also the question about the connection between the level of education and generalized trust in countries with different quality of the institutional environment is raised.

Abstract Extant anurans (frogs and toads) exhibit reduced dentition, ranging from a lack of mandibular teeth to complete edentulation, as observed in the true toads of the family Bufonidae. The evolutionary timeline of these reductions remains vague due to a poor fossil record. Previous studies have demonstrated an association between the lack of teeth in edentulous vertebrates and the pseudogenization of the major tooth enamel gene amelogenin (AMEL) through accumulation of deleterious mutations and the disruption of its coding sequence. In the present study we have harnessed the pseudogenization of AMEL as a molecular dating tool to correlate loss of dentition with genomic mutation patterns during the rise of the family Bufonidae. Specifically, we have utilized AMEL pseudogenes in three members of the family as a tool to estimate the putative date of edentulation in true toads. Comparison of AMEL sequences from Rhinella marina, Bufo gargarizans and Bufo bufo, with nine extant, dentulous frogs, revealed mutations confirming AMEL inactivation in Bufonidae. AMEL pseudogenes in modern bufonids also exhibited remarkably high 86–93% sequence identity among each other, with only a slight increase in substitution rate and relaxation of selective pressure, in comparison to functional copies in other anurans. Moreover, using selection intensity estimates and synonymous substitution rates, analysis of functional and pseudogenized AMEL resulted in an estimated inactivation window of 46-60 MYA in the lineage leading to modern true toads, a timeline that coincides with the rise of the family Bufonidae.

Dieser Fachartikel geht auf die negativen Auswirkungen technischer Nebenzeiten für die Effizienz von Produktionsprozessen in der automobilen Großserienproduktion ein. Er zeigt in der Übersicht, welche Methoden sich zur Erfassung technischer Nebenzeiten eignen und welche Vor- und Nachteile sie besitzen. Nur mit diesen Erfassungsmethoden lässt sich eine effektive Minimierung von technischen Nebenzeiten erreichen. Anschließend wird ein dreistufiges Analyseverfahren präsentiert.   This article discusses the negative effects of non-productive times on the efficiency of production processes in automotive mass production. An overview shows which methods are suitable for the recording of non-productive times and their advantages and disadvantages. These recording methods are essential for the effective minimization of non-productive times. Subsequently, an analysis method, which is composed of three steps, is presented.

Introduction. Nonunion of long bones may often be associated with significant function loss of affected extremity, joint stiffness, and even extremity amputation or systemic manifestations in the case of infection. The aim of this case report is to highlight the possibilities of Ilizarov apparatus in the treatment of fracture nonunions of both lower legs treated by different operative methods and to show that it is not necessary to remove osteosynthetic material (intramedullary nail) in every case when nonunion occurs to achieve its recovery. Case Report. A 62 year-old man was injured in a traffic accident as a pedestrian in April 2012, when he experienced polytrauma, including shaft fracture of the right femur, and segmental open fractures of the right (Gustillo-Anderson grade I) and left (Gustillo-Anderson grade II) lower leg. The fractures of right femur and right tibia were stabilized initially with intramedullary nails, while the left lower leg fracture was treated by unilateral external fixator. After 5 months, there were no clinical and radiographic signs of union on lower legs, therefore the patient underwent re-surgery. Ilizarov apparatus was applied on both lower legs. The patient was early verticalized and both apparatus were removed after 4 months. According to the modified protocol of the Association for the Study and Application of Methods of Ilizarov, the lower leg bony results were good and excellent, and the functional results were excellent on both sides. Conclusion. Nonunion fracture of the right lower leg initially treated by the method of intramedullary osteosynthesis and afterwards by placing Ilizarov apparatus shows that in some cases it is not indicated to remove fixative material in order to achieve full recovery of fracture, thus eliminating the danger of all negative effects resulting from the classical extensive surgical treatment.
