Background: Facing a growing diversity of needs, preferences and behaviors among sports events consumers, the segmentation of this market has become a key aspect in designing and implementing marketing programs. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to create a 2012 UEFA Euro Championship consumer typology that adopts a segmentation method based on socio-demographic and behavioral variables. Material/Methods: Sample CAPI surveys were conducted among viewers of the 2012 UEFA European Championship (N = 1,000). Consumer profiles were analyzed by adopting basic criteria of marketing segmentation based on socio-economic, demographic and psychographic variables. Due to a hierarchical clustering, authors obtained five groups of consumers: heavy, moderate, light, very light and non-viewers. Results: The study proved that an individually prepared therapeutic program including postisometric relaxation and combination therapy improves ROM in all planes of hip joins in osteoarthritis. It was also stated that after 2 pain assessment tests (the VAS and Laitinen scales) the therapy was confirmed to be a successful method in pain relief. The researchers also noticed that systematically conducted therapy led to reducing the incidence of pain which is manifested by limitation of pharmacotherapy. Conclusions: Data analysis showed a relationship between consumer behaviors and the respondents’ gender, age, place of residence. A new typology of segments of Euro 2012 fans was created.

Background: The objective of the study was to assess the effectiveness of a 2-week therapeutic programme consisting of combination therapy and postisometric relaxation and its effect on the mobility of joints and the level of perception of pain in patients with osteoarthritis of hip joints. Material/Methods:The research was carried out on subjects clinically and radiologically diagnosed as patients with osteoarthritis of hip joints. 30 subjects, including 7 men and 23 women (average age of 67.8 yrs), underwent the examinations. The therapy lasted 2 weeks and consisted of 10 treatment sessions. The medical program included a combination therapy and individual exercises, i.e. postisometric relaxation of the hip joint. In the combination therapy conventional TENS and ultrasounds were applied. Moreover, tailored exercises were performed systematically every day at home. Conclusions: The research shows that combination therapy together with postisometric relaxation is an effective form of conservative treatment for degenerative changes in the hip joint.

Background. Various postoperative pain relief modalities, including continuous femoral nerve block (CFNB), local infiltration analgesia (LIA), and combination therapy, have been reported for total knee arthroplasty. However, no studies have compared CFNB with LIA for total hip arthroplasty (THA). The aim of this study was to compare the efficacy of CFNB versus LIA after THA. Methods. We retrospectively reviewed the postoperative outcomes of 93 THA patients (20 men, 73 women; mean age 69.2 years). Patients were divided into three groups according to postoperative analgesic technique: CFNB, LIA, or combined CFNB+LIA. We measured the following postoperative outcome parameters: visual analog scale (VAS) for pain at rest, supplemental analgesia, side effects, mobilization, length of hospital stay, and Harris Hip Score (HHS). Results. The CFNB+LIA group had significantly lower VAS pain scores than the CFNB and LIA groups on postoperative day 1. There were no significant differences among the three groups in use of supplemental analgesia, side effects, mobilization, length of hospital stay, or HHS at 3 months after THA. Conclusions. Although there were no clinically significant differences in outcomes among the three groups, combination therapy with CFNB and LIA provided better pain relief after THA than CFNB or LIA alone, with few side effects.

Due to the recent pandemic of COVID-19, sports events around the world are being hit hard in 2020. However, with the KBO league having been opened even though it is late, it has attracted the attention of baseball fans around the world as it becomes an overseas broadcast. However, since the Republic of Korea is also affected by the global economic crisis, the financial burden of professional baseball teams that rely on their parent company has become a hot topic. Therefore, in this study, we collected records such as IP, ERA, and WAR of KBO league FA pitchers and news related to FA contracts. Then, we preprocessed the data and analyzed it. To this end, we analyzed the performance and financial burden indicators according to the pitcher's age and contract years. In addition, it was found that the performance of athletes was maintained until their mid 30’s, and through rational FA contracts, the team and athletes were able to suggest win-win strategies. And with this basic data analysis in the sports industry, the possibility of utilizing these strategies was confirmed.

AbstractPerception of women related to non-pharmacological methods for pain relief in laborThis paper aims to describe, from the literature, the conception of women regarding the use of Non - Pharmacological Methods for pain relief in labor. It is a review of the integrative literature, based on the Virtual Health Library, using the, LILACS and BDENF databases, and 13 articles were selected for data analysis. According to the results, women reported that most non-pharmacological measures did not significantly reduce pain, but allowed it to bring about a reduction in the feelings of fear and anxiety generated by the moment. The studies also showed that the professionals who were involved in humanized care were positively reminded by the women. However, it is believed that there is still a need for investment to meet the requirements of humanized childbirth practices, as many maternity hospitals do not yet have these measures in care.Descriptors: Labor, Labor Pain.
Neuropathic pain is extremely distressing as it significantly hampers the performance of daily activities and impedes overall quality of life. A large number of illnesses are linked with neuropathic pain like radiculopathy, sciatica, diabetes, herpes infection, spinal injury, stroke, etc. Treating neuropathic pain is challenging as response to the treatment is at times uncertain and associated with undesirable side effects. Uncontrolled neuropathic pain is observed in large group of patients receiving current treatment regimen. Almost half of the neuropathic pain patients need more than two drugs for pain relief. Various clinical trials have demonstrated better efficacy of combination therapy in reducing pain than monotherapy. Utilizing drug combination with different mechanism of action or acting on two different sites has demonstrated superior analgesic effect in painful neuropathic condition. The first tier agents recommended by various guidelines are calcium channel alpha-2-delta ligands and tricyclic antidepressants that act on different pain pathways. A clinical trial has shown enhanced pain relief with no increase in side effects with the administration of gabapentin and nortriptyline combination in patients suffering from neuropathic pain. Moreover, symptoms associated with neuropathic pain like sleep disturbances, altered mood, decreased walking ability, depression and quality of life were also significantly improved. Hence, combination therapy of gabapentin and nortriptyline offers a pivotal modality in the management of uncontrolled neuropathic pain.
