Abstract A total of 907 participants from 31 training workshops joined a 3-day training program of the P.A.T.H.S. Project (Secondary 3 Program) in Hong Kong. At the end of a training workshop, participants were invited to respond to a questionnaire assessing what they had learned and experienced in the training workshop, with 31 structured items and two open-ended questions. Qualitative analyses of the participants’ responses to the two open-ended questions showed that the participants generally had positive evaluation of the instructors, intervention program, and the training program, although some suggestions for improvements were noted. In conjunction with the quantitative evaluation findings and the previous evaluation findings, the present study provides support for the effectiveness of the training program for Secondary 3 Program for the potential program implementers.

A competitive contractor is the guarantee of project’s success, so how to choose a suitable contractor is critical for the owners. However, among the influencing factors considered in the selection, some can be quantitatively evaluated with clear evaluation criteria while others can only be qualitative evaluated so that no specific scores can be obtained. For the above reasons an improved fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method is proposed in which all assessment factors are divided into two categories and are evaluated with different criteria. The method integrates the advantage of quantitative evaluation and qualitative evaluation. Finally it is verified by a case and the result shows that the application of the improved fuzzy approach to choose contractor is effective and reasonable.

In view of the complexity forces of security risk assessment of military vehicles, could gravity center valuation was studied. First the concept, purpose and meaning, main steps of security risk assessment of military vehicles was analyzed, and then the algorithm in detail of security risk assessment of military vehicles based on could gravity center valuation was given out, finally was validated by an example. Verification results show that this method is the subjective qualitative evaluation with quantitative evaluation model, solve the fuzziness and the randomness of the assessment, as the security risk assessment of military vehicles provides a set of effective methods.

We have developed a method of quantitative evaluation for vibration discrimination by event-related potentials (ERP). We made a modulation matrix of high-pass component f1: (40-200 Hz) and low-pass component f2: (2-20 Hz), and gave modulated vibrations to a forefinger by a piezoelectric vibrator. We examined ERP differences, which are amplitudes, areas and intervals, between a reference vibration of (f1, f2) = (40, 2) Hz and controlled vibrations.

An aspergilloma is a well-recognized lesion of the lung caused most of the time by the fungus Aspergillus fumigatus. Its main complication is hemoptysis and has been very rarely associated with tension pneumothorax. We present the case of a 47-year-old man with a history of treated and healed tuberculosis, which was successfully managed in our service for a ruptured right upper lobe complexed aspergilloma, complicated by a massive and tension pneumothorax. The patient underwent thoracotomy and lung resection with quick recovery. Conclusively, although rare, an aspergilloma may rupture and cause a life-threatening air leakage.

With Swift, Apple pretends to attract the programmers of the programming languages based on C++ syntax and gives them a higher abstraction than with Objective-C for being easier to programme to Apple’s platforms. For these reasons, it is necessary to contrast what is intended by Apple and do a study of the programming language to ascertain their goal. For this purpose, we did two evaluations, firstly a qualitative evaluation and after, a quantitative evaluation to verify in how much Swift is an advance with respect to Objective-C.Keywords: computer languages, computer programming, functional programming, object oriented programming, programming, software.
