UTD PMI Kota Madiun merupakan pemasok darah untuk beberapa Bank Darah Rumah Sakit (BDRS) di wilayah Kota Madiun dan sekitarnya. Tingginya permintaan yang masuk, terkadang permintaan darah tidak dapat dipenuhi dan di sisi lain banyak juga darah yang sudah expired. Permasalahan ini dapat diselesaikan dengan menentukan stok yang aman serta kapan harus dilakukan pemesanan darah kembali. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah jumlah permintaan produk darah Packed Red Cells selama periode 2020 yang dikumpulkan dari database PMI. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan evaluasi sekaligus penentuan stok yang optimal untuk menghindari banyaknya darah yang rusak sekaligus mengurangi biaya persediaan dengan menggunakan metode Continuous Review System. Hasil dari penelitian ini diperoleh persediaan optimal yang harus disediakan PMI Kota Madiun sekaligus rekomendasi untuk menggunakan Two-Bin System dalam penyimpanan persediaan darah, selain itu biaya persediaan dapat berkurang sebesar 40%.

Persediaan adalah sumber daya yang perlu diadakan dan dipelihara untuk menunjang kelancaran produksi. PT. XYZ merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di proses pembuatan minyak kayu putih. Perusahaan memproduksi minyak kayu putih dimana bahan baku utamanya adalah daun kayu putih. Perusahaan ini memiliki permasalahan dalam melakukan pengendalian persediaan bahan baku daun kayu putih yang disebabkan oleh permintaan minyak kayu putih oleh konsumen yang tidak menentu. Perusahaan mengalami keadaan persediaan yang berlebih yang mengakibatkan tingginya biaya persediaan dan kurangnya persediaan yang mengakibatkan produksi yang tidak memenuhi pesanan. Berdasarkan permasalahan di atas, maka dilakukan pengendalian persediaan dengan metode continuous review system backorder dan lost sales. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah melakukan pengendalian persediaan daun kayu putih sehingga dapat meminimumkan biaya persediaan. Metode continuous review system backorder dan lost sales akan dibandingkan dengan metode perusahaan dan dipilih metode terbaik dengan total biaya paling minimum. Hasil dari perhitungan diperoleh total biaya persediaan minimum dengan metode continuous review system backorder sebesar Rp 2.459.692.004, sedangkan metode perusahaan sebesar Rp 2.595.684.800, sehingga mendapatkan penghematan biaya sebesar Rp 135.992.796 dengan efisiensi sebesar 5,2%. Jumlah pemesanan bahan baku per pesan bulan November 2019 – Oktober 2020 sebesar 1.812 ton, dengan total biaya persedian bahan baku sebesar Rp 2.544.762.825.   Kata Kunci: Continuous, Pengendalian, Persediaan.   ABSTRACT Inventories are resources that need to be procured and maintained to support the continuity production. PT. XYZ is a company engaged in the process of making eucalyptus oil. The company produces eucalyptus oil where the main raw material is eucalyptus leaves. This company has problems in controlling the supply of raw materials of eucalyptus leaves caused by the erratic demand of eucalyptus oil by consumers. The company experiences a state of excess inventory which results in high inventory costs and lack of inventory resulting in production that does not fulfill orders. Based on the above problems, inventory control is carried out using the continuous review system backorder and lost sales method. The purpose of this study is to control the inventory of eucalyptus leaves so as to minimize inventory costs. The continuous review system backorder and lost sales method will be compared with the company method and the best method is chosen with the minimum total cost. The results of the calculation obtained the minimum total inventory cost with the continuous review system backorder method of Rp.2,459,692,004, while the company's method of Rp2,595,684,800, so as to get a cost savings of Rp.135,992,796 with an efficiency of 5.2%. The number of raw material orders per message in November 2019 - October 2020 amounted to 1,812 tons, with a total cost of supplying raw materials amounting to Rp 2,544,762,825.   Keywords: Continuous, Control, Inventory.

<p>Inventory is one of important factors in manufacturing industry to ensure production process run. This research was conducted in an aluminum ingot manufacture company. The company faces a problem to manage the inventory system for their main raw material. The problem deals with the high expenditure due to safety stock that causes high inventory cost. Total inventory cost based on current condition is $270,706 per year. The proposed improvement method that used in this analysis is continuous review system. This method is applied to determine the appropriate Reorder Point (ROP) and to minimize the inventory cost. Based on the proposed improvement, total inventory cost can be reduced by 30%. This proposed system is also equipped with Decision Support System by using what-if analysis method as the tool to make decision for the next several periods by giving several scenarios and considering the aspects that influence to decision.<br />Keywords: Inventory, Reorder point, Continuous Review System, Decision Support System, What If Analysis, Scenario</p>

Businesses that carry inventory as a means of responding to customer demand must decide when to place inventory orders and how much to order. A model for selecting an optimal order quantity and reorder point in the continuous review system is implemented in spreadsheet software. Historical data on period demand and lead time is processed by performing a statistical test to select a mixture distribution for lead time demand. This distribution is incorporated into an expected shortage calculation and cost model where shortages incur lost sales and/or goodwill costs. The lead time demand distribution selection is evaluated through experiments. In examples, employing an incorrect distribution leads to expenditures between one and eighteen percent higher than those experienced with the correct model. A mismatch of the backorder or lost sales model with the correct underlying assumptions leads to expenses between four and thirteen percent larger than necessary in an example problem.

PT. Sejahtera Mitra Lestari is a company engaged in manufacturing industrial chemicals specifically for the rubber industry. The irregular placement of finished products in the storage can cause errors in the delivery of goods due to good management for delivering goods with a relatively fast time. The effort to overcome this problem is through designing of warehouse layout with the Class-Based Storage method. Grouping based on popularity. Stages of research carried out by calculating the warehouse, the frequency of displacement, the number of storage places, the displacement distance. Improvements begin by sorting material based on frequency and variations of three classes, namely A, B, C. To design the layout, information is needed when making a new storage layout. The results showed that the layout of the optimal results could reduce the displacement distance by 17.19% in 6 months and allow space to be 73.91%.

Blood Transfusion Unit (UTD) PMI Pekanbaru is the organization in charge to provide blood than the one set by the Minister of Health.Masalah yang banyak terdapat pada UTD PMI Kota Pekanbaru adalah permintaan dan ketersediaan akan darah yang tidak pasti dan sulit untuk dikontrol.Thera are many problems in UTD PMI Pekanbaru is the demand and availability of the blood which is unpredictable and difficult to control. Artinya pasokan darah bisa saja habis saat permintaan tinggi dan bisa pula kadaluwarsa akibat terlalu lama di dalam penyimpanan. This means that the blood supply could be depleted when demand is high and can also expire due to too long in storage. Dampak dari tidak tersedianya darah dapat mengakibatkan kematian bagi pasien yang membutuhkannya. The impact of the unavailability of blood can be fatal for patients who need them. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pengendalian persediaan darah supaya PMI mampu memenuhi permintaan darah. Therefore, the necessary blood inventory control so that PMI is able to meet the demand for blood. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan jumlah persediaan darah dan frekuensi pengambilan darah yang optimal. This study aims to determine the amount of blood supply and the frequency of optimal blood. jumlah persediaan dan frekuensi pengambilan darah yang optimal. Penelitian ini diawali dengan pengambilan data ke pihak PMI, dilanjutkan dengan pengolahan data dengan menggunakan model continuous review system , pengendalian persediaan dilakukan dengan cara melakukan perhitungan safety stock,reorder point, untuk setiap golongan darah serta implementasi two bin system .This study begins by loading data to the PMI, followed by processing the data using a model of continuous review system, inventory control is done by calculating safety stock,reorder point, for each blood type as well as the implementation of the two-bin system.Berdasarkan metode continuous review system,Total inventory cost (TIC) yang minimum rata-rata dari semua golongan darah adalah sebesar 104.389 rupiah.Based on the method of continuous review system,total inventory cost (TIC) the minimum average of all blood groups amounted to 104 389 rupiah. Terdapat penghematan sekitar 75.000 rupiah atau 56% per kantung darah. There is a saving of about 75,000 rupiah or 56% per bag of blood. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut maka biaya persediaan yang dijalankan pihak UTD PMI kota Pekanbaru belum mencapai titik minimal. Based on these results the cost of inventory that is carried out by UTD PMI Pekanbaru city has not reached the minimum point.
