Sentralisasi Manajemen Hotspot Menggunakan Transparent Bridge Tunnel EoIP over SSTP

STMIK Bumigora is the first computer college in the province of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). There are 11 hotspots spread across the campus to provide Internet services through a wireless connection for the academic community. The increasing number of hotspots that must be managed with locations scattered in various Mikrotik routers hence make the process of management and monitoring hotspots become complex, ineffective and efficient. Centralized campus hotspot management using a transparent bridge EoIP over SSTP can help solve the problems at hand. Ethernet over IP (EoIP) Tunneling is a Mikrotik RouterOS protocol that creates an Ethernet tunnel between routers over IP connections. EoIP tunnel built on SSTP tunnel (EoIP over SSTP) with Site-to-Site type. SSTP is a new form of Virtual Private Network (VPN) tunnel that provides a mechanism for encapsulating Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP) traffic through the SSL path of the HTTPS protocol. The IP address of the SSTP interface is used as the local reference and remote address of the EoIP over SSTP tunnel. The application of bridging on EoIP interfaces and interfaces connected to Access Point devices forms a logical network so that the management and monitoring of hotspot services can be performed centrally on one router.

Internet usage has become an essential part of our daily lives, it has become universal. The aim of this research is to consider existing Internet-based networks with regard to their support for the remote operation of robotic technology, in particular, looking at transmission speed and delay time as it relates to teleoperation. Currently dedicated connections are typically used when a high Quality of Service (QoS) is required for mission critical services or safety-critical systems (SCS), however such connections are very expensive to set up and maintain. Therefore, this study focuses on modifying existing internet networks in a manner to provide a better QoS with little additional cost. Using a number of microcontrollers, computers, and routers, two different protocols were used to control a robotic device remotely. Use of the Point-to-Point Tunnelling Protocol (PPTP) used for implementing a Virtual Private Network (VPN) was found to provide higher average transmission speeds compared to the using a Uniform Resource Locator (URL) which is a regular internet connection.

AbstractSistem Keamanan Jaringan semakin berkembang seiring dengan perkembangan  teknologi. Instansi - instansi sudah melakukan komputerisasi, dimana setiap bagian di dalam instansi tersebut sudah menggunakan komputer dalam operasionalnya, hal ini membuat instansi pemerintahan meningkatkan kualitas dan kuantitas sistem teknologi informasi. Dengan adanya komputerisasi di pemerintahan perlu adakannya Sistem Keamanan Jaringan yang baik, agar pertukaran data dari kantor kabupaten ke kantor desa dapat dilakukan secara aman dan terkendali. Berbagai software sudah bisa mengatasi permasalahaan tersebut, akan tetapi dari segi keamanan data itu sendiri yang masih sangat dikhawatirkan kebocoran datanya, oleh karena itu dengan menggunakan teknologi VPN dengan metode PPTP sangat cocok digunakan untuk mengamankan pertukaran data, karena proses kerja VPN yaitu dengan membuat jaringan sendiri yang sifatnya rahasia dengan menggunakan IP Publik, membuat keamanan data lebih terjaga kerahasiaannya dan mencegah kebocoran data oleh pihak-pihak yang tidak bertanggung jawab. Keywords: VPN, PPTP, Keamanan Jaringan, mikrotik, Data. AbstractNetwork Security Systems are increasingly developing along with technological developments. Di dalam komunikasi Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) mengenal beberapa macam protocol tambahan selain protocol standar internet Transfer Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), beberapa diantaranya adalah protocol Session Initation Protocol (SIP), Inter-Asterisk eXchange (IAX) dan H.323. Performansi perlu dijaga mengingat VoIP mempunyai kemungkinan melakukan berbagai cara kompresi untuk menciptakan efisiensi saluran dan pemilihan protocol yang tepat. Teknologi VoIP pada dasarnya tidak memiliki jaminan keamanan pada setiap komunikasi. Keamanan ketika melakukan komunikasi suara merupakan sesuatu yang sangat penting karena menyangkut privasi penggunanya. Penggunaan Virtual Private Network (VPN) merupakan salah satu solusi untuk menutup celah keamanan pada kasus di atas. Analisis yang dilakukan pada artikel ini adalah performa yang dihasilkan VoIP yang menggunakan protocol IAX dan SIP. Penelitian ini mengahasilkan kesimpulan bahwa performansi yang paling baik digunakan untuk membangun sistem komunikasi VoIP adalah protocol IAX dengan menggunakan sistem keamanan VPN Point to Point Protocol (PPTP) dikarenakan nilai Quality of Service (QoS)  lebih tinggi daripada protocol SIP dan juga terbukti lebih aman saat diterapkan sistem keamanan Virtual Private Network Point to Point Protocol (VPN PPTP).

Through the VPN, the user can access the resources within the local network, gain rights and settings are the same as physically being in a place where the local network is located. <p align="center"><strong>ABSTRACT</strong></p><p><em>The internet as a data transmission backbone has security threats in sending data. To overcome the security problem of every data communication that is done through a public network (public network), then a connection is needed that requires a connection between workstations running privately, so that only workstations that have access can connect, by using a virtual private network or VPN. The advantage of a VPN is that data sent over an encrypted VPN is quite safe and the secret is maintained even through the internet network because the data sent will go through the tunnel. Tunneling itself is a method for transferring data from one network to another by using a veiled internet network. Two protocols can be chosen in a VPN, namely Point to Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP) and Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol (L2TP). However, the performance of each of these protocols is unknown yet. To find out the performance of the two protocols we need a test with a simulation method. Using a Mikrotik router and Wireshark application with Quality of Service (QoS) parameters consisting of Packet Loss, Delay, and Throughput on 2 clients connected to the mikrotik router and each client uses a different protocol. All clients will stream videos simultaneously to get a data packet capture. The test results will be grouped into four categories, namely bad, moderate, good and very good. It is expected that data will be able to show the quality of service of both protocols. so that it can be used as a reference in the selection of VPN protocol to be used.</em></p><p><strong><em>Keywords: </em></strong><em>Quality of Service, PPTP, L2TP</em></p><p align="center"><strong>ABSTRAK</strong></p><p><em>Internet sebagai backbone pengiriman data memiliki ancaman keamanan dalam pengiriman data. Untuk mengatasi masalah keamanan setiap komunikasi data yang dilakukan melalui jaringan publik (public network) maka diperlukan suatu mekanisme yang memungkinkan koneksi antar workstation berjalan secara private, sehingga hanya workstation yang memiliki akses yang dapat saling terhubung, dengan cara memanfaatkan virtual private network atau VPN.</em> <em>Keuntungan VPN adalah data yang dikirimkan melalui VPN terenkripsi sehingga cukup aman dan rahasianya tetap terjaga meskipun melalui jaringan internet, karena data yang dikirim akan melalui tunnel.</em> <em>Tunneling sendiri merupakan metode untuk transfer data dari suatu jaringan ke jaringan lain dengan memanfaatkan jaringan internet secara terselubung. Terdapat dua protokol yang dapat dipilih dalam VPN yaitu Point to Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP) dan Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol (L2TP). Akan tetapi belum diketahui performa dari masing – masing protokol tersebut. Untuk mengetahui kinerja dari kedua protokol tersebut diperlukan sebuah pengujian dengan metode simulasi. Menggunakan router mikrotik dan aplikasi Wireshark dengan parameter Quality of Service (QoS) yang terdiri dari Packet Loss, Delay, dan Throughtput pada 2 client yang terhubung ke router mikrotik dan setiap client akan menggunakan protokol yang berbeda. Semua client akan melakukan video streaming secara bersamaan untuk mendapatkan capture paket data. Hasil pengujian akan dikelompokkan menjadi empat kategori, yaitu kategori buruk, sedang, bagus dan sangat bagus. Diharapkan akan dihasilkan sebuah data yang dapat menunjukkan kualitas dari layanan kedua protokol tersebut. sehingga dapat dijadikan acuan dalam pemilihan protokol vpn yang akan digunakan.</em></p><strong><em>Kata kunci:</em></strong><em> Quality of Service, PPTP, L2TP</em>

One of the ways to maintain and improve the quality of service and security on the network of an agency of the Barangin Sub-District Office, Sawahlunto City (Central) is to add a VPN feature. Administrators who always monitor the flow of traffic by accessing routers and access points to find out network conditions. There are times when the Administrator is on a public network, he or she cannot access routers and access point devices because the Public IP obtained is Dynamic (random). To solve this problem, it is done through the Network Development Life Cycle (NDLC) method by combining the L2TP and IPsec VPN protocol systems on Mikrotik. A Virtual Private Network (VPN) is a private and secure network using a public network such as the internet. One of the bases for securing VPN technology is Internet Protocol Security (IPSec). IPSec is a protocol used to secure datagram transmission on TCP/IP-based networks. This study aims to design and implement a VPN network system by utilizing a public network, where this system provides advanced security enhancements on the internet network using IPSec. The information/data sent will be confidential with an automatic encryption method through the L2TP tunnel method from the server to the branch/client computer and vice versa. The VPN is implemented using a layer 2 (L2TP) tunneling protocol using two Mikrotik routers. There are few changes to the computer network configuration to minimize costs and implementation time. Tests are carried out to implement security on the network using the command prompt, where the admin observes packet loss and delay parameters to determine the increase in security quality on the network.

With the further development of Internet, VPN technology would provide high-quality and low-cost wide-area data network, and would be safer than the majority of corporate special network. Main purpose of VPN technology is to save communication expenses for enterprises, especially replace existing special lines of enterprises and reduce communication cost. With constant mergers and acquisitions of enterprises and the occurrence of new relationship between enterprises and employees, traditional corporate network mode faces challenges. One solution is to use virtual private network when constructing enterprise information environment. During network design, if only for simple point-to-point data transmission, making full use of transmission security is enough, security mechanisms such as encrypted tunnel, flows separating, packet authentication, user authentication, authorization system and access control etc have been taken to ensure the security. From perspective of engineering, comparison between the construction of corporate VPN and tunneling protocol that realizes VPN is made.

Dibutuhkannya komunikasi dalam menunjang interaksi antar perusahaan yang memiliki kaitan yang sangat erat terhadap perkembangan teknologi informasi melalui jaringan komputer. Virtual Private Network atau biasa disebut VPN memiliki peran penting dalam perkembangan sistem keamanan dalam jaringan internet, terutama dalam membatasi hak akses terhadap server, database, dan sejenisnya dalam meminimalisir terjadinya akses illegal terhadap data-data penting perusahaan. VPN memiliki beberapa tipe salah seperti VPN Tunnel dan IPSec, VPN Tunnel memiliki konsep yang lebih sederhana dibandingkan dengan IPSec karena dapat menghubungkan server dan client secara remoteaccess yang hanya membutuhkan 1 router saja yang terhubung pada sisi server. IPSec memiliki tingkat keamanan yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan VPN Tunnel dengan jalur komunikasi dilengkapi dengan kriptografi. IPSec yang berjalan pada L2TP memiliki tingkat kinerja yang lebih baik dibandingkan VPN Tunnel berdasarkan hasil yang telah di dapatkan, karena konsep yang mengharuskan router terkoneksi secara point-to-point. Kata Kunci - Virtual Private Network (VPN), IPSec, Tunneling, Quality of Service, Peformance

AbstrakPenelitian ini membahas tentang analisis keamanan Wireless LAN (Wireless Local Area Network) terhadap serangan luar pada protokol Wireless Protected Access (WPA), Web Proxy, dan Virtual Private Network (VPN), yang digunakan untuk menyerang LAN.Penelitian akan dilakukan di Jaringan UNIKUNET (Jaringan Wireless Universitas Kuningan Kampus 1) yang menggunakan captive portal sebagai media autentikasi jaringan public hotspotnya. Tiga jenis perangkat lunak yang digunakan sebagai penyerang yaitu, penyerang Visual Network Stumbler, Aircrack dan Wireshark. Perangkat lunak tersebut digunakan di laptop pada jarak 5m sampai 25m dari titik akses LAN Nirkabel. Dari hasil experimen terlihat waktu tercepat direspon oleh Protokol WPA diberikan oleh penyerang Visual Network Stumbler, diikuti oleh Aircrack dan Wireshark, dan kemungkinan celah keamanan yang didapat.Kata kunci: Wireless Protected Access, Captive Portal, WLAN, Web Proxy dan Virtual Private Network�AbstractThis study discusses the analysis of Wireless LAN (Wireless Local Area Network) security against external attacks on the Wireless Protected Access (WPA), Web Proxy, and Virtual Private Network (VPN) protocols, which are used to attack LANs.The research will be conducted at the UNIKUNET Network (Kuningan University Campus Wireless Network 1) that uses captive portal as a media authentication for its public hotspot network. Three types of software are used as attackers, namely, attackers Visual Network Stumbler, Aircrack and Wireshark. The software is used on laptops at a distance of 5m to 25m from the Wireless LAN access point. File Transfer Protocol (FTP) server merupakan jenis sistem yang menghubungkan hak pengakses (client) dan penyedia (server) dalam melakukan pertukaran data yang melewati port 21, yang semula ftp server berjalan pada protocol yang tidak terlindungi di dalam port 21, kemudian dengan OpenSSL ini di amankan agar data dapat sampai ke tujuan. Pada penelitian ini akan dibangun Rancang Bangun File Transfer Protocol (Ftp) Dengan Pengamanan Open Ssl Pada Jaringan Vpn Mikrotik Di Smk Dwiwarna  yang akan di konfigurasi pada debian 9.1 dengan  di tambahnya pengaman sertifikat ssl , dengan harapan  melindungi proses dalam pengiriman data dapat dengan aman dan ditambahkannya sistem VPN PPTP pada mikrotik akan lebih memberikan keamanan yang lebih baik lagi, dimana pemanfaatan Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP) suatu protokol jaringan yang bisa memungkinkan client dalam pengiriman data secara aman melalui remote client kepada server sekolah dibangunnya suatu virtual private network (VPN).
