The more advanced and the development of the era tends to create more complex problems that needs to be solved. Queueing in Indonesia is a problem that is difficult to control. LRT (Light Rail Transit) is the most recent public transportation for the people living around Northern Jakarta. Most of the people want to try this new transportation, This creates a problem where usually people tend to not queueing in line when buying tickets. The solution fot this problem is by ordering online tickets or online queues over queueing traditionally. In this study, the Designing and programming methods used C # code on visual studio which is performed as a form of validation such as validation for Login and Registering; PHP code is used to connect the database for data registrants, users, and admin; and UML (Unified Modeling Language) for designing the system and database. With this online queue, it can help overcome the problem of crowded long and congested lines at the LRT station so that it can increase the culture of the queue for mutual order to be realized.

A modal shift from automobiles is imperative in the transportation field for realizing a low-carbon society. We have developed a simulator that can quantitatively assess the effect of a modal shift by simulating track-based public transportation, such as LRT (Light Rail Transit), and automobile transportation. This paper presents an example in which we used the simulator to calculate the effect in a case where track-based transportation is implemented.

Passenger flow estimation of transit systems is essential for new decisions about additional facilities and feeder lines. For increasing the efficiency of an existing transit line, stations which are insufficient for trip production and attraction should be examined first. Such investigation supports decisions for feeder line projects which may seem necessary or futile according to the findings. In this study, passenger flow of a light rail transit (LRT) system in Izmir, Turkey is estimated by using multiple regression and feed-forward back-propagation type of artificial neural networks (ANN). The number of alighting passengers at each station is estimated as a function of boarding passengers from other stations. It is found that ANN approach produced significantly better estimations specifically for the low passenger attractive stations. In addition, ANN is found to be more capable for the determination of trip-attractive parts of LRT lines.   Keywords: light rail transit, multiple regression, artificial neural networks, public transportation

Light rail transit (LRT) is a sustainable transportation mode that ensures sustainable environmental, economic, and social development. Generally, the rate of public transportation usage in many parts of the world remains low compared to private vehicles. There is a need to understand passengers’ perception of public transportation service quality to enhance passenger satisfaction and increase ridership. Thus, this study used the Kuala Lumpur LRT service as a case study to investigate the effect of a passenger’s gender and age on their perception of the LRT service quality and their overall satisfaction. This survey involved 417 respondents. The outcome of factor analysis indicated that eight factors—i.e., signage, comfort, speediness, safety, ticketing service, facilities, staff service, and provision of information—influenced passenger satisfaction. The results of the Mann–Whitney U test and Kruskal–Wallis test indicated that the factors influencing passenger satisfaction significantly varied across a passenger’s gender and age. A more in-depth and comprehensive analysis using the ordered logit model and segmentation approach proved that provision of information, comfort, staff service, and facilities were critical determiners of passenger satisfaction in most segments. Safety factors and ticketing services had no impact on overall passenger satisfaction. The findings of this research could help LRT service providers, researchers, and policymakers formulate effective strategies for enhancing passenger satisfaction and increase the ridership for LRT services.

Light rail transit network is essential to the development of urban public transportation, and the aim of this study is to provide a scientific, efficient, and new methodology to measure and assess the pros and cons of various planning schemes for light rail transit (LRT) network, which can help guide the process of alternative prioritization and decision-making support. More specifically, through establishing the multi-attribute assessment index system, and pondering the combinational weighting model (consistent matrix analysis and information entropy methods), a data-driven and flexible multi-criteria matter-element decision-making (MCMEDM) model for LRT network optimization is constructed in this work. Furthermore, objectivity, impartiality, rationality, and validity of the proposed model are discussed and verified by a didactical case with real datasets in Jining, China. The modeling analysis (quantitative procedures) results and findings reveal that this approach is reliable and applicable to appraise and prioritize the LRT networks, avoiding the decision biases due to human or other factors. Additionally, the proposed framework can offer urban planners, managers, decision and policy makers the appropriate comments and suggestions of identifying the superior alternative (project), as well as serve as a guideline or reference for other cities.

A rapid development has resulted in the level of urbanization in several big cities getting more advanced. transportation needs will be very important for the community, especially Palembang City, South Sumatra region. Transportation is a means to facilitate the movement of an object from one place to another. PT KAI is a monopoly company without equal participants, so this research is important to conduct research for that. target vision with case studies on LRT (Light Rail Transit) passengers.The research was conducted by means of a survey to see the performance of the LRT Train (Light Rail Transit). The object of the survey is the people who are on the LRT (Light Rail Transit) train at DJKA-Bumi Sriwijaya station. The data obtained were then processed with the SPSS software program.1.Djka Station - Sriwijaya Earth Station The significant variable R Square indicates that the value of R Square is 0.965. This value illustrates that the variables X1, X2, X3, X4, X5, X6, X10 on passenger satisfaction are 96.5% in the model proposed in this study.2.Djka Station - Sriwijaya Earth Station The significant variable R Square shows that the value of R Square is 0.969. This value illustrates that the contribution of the variables X1, X2, X3, X4, X7, X8 to passenger satisfaction is 96.9% in the model proposed in this study.3.Djka Station - Sriwijaya Earth Station Significant variable R Square obtains an R Square value of 0.973. This value illustrates that the contribution variable X1, X2, X3, X4 to passenger satisfaction is 97.3% in the model proposed in this study.

The aim of this research was to verify the readiness of Bandung people in accepting Light Rail Transit (LRT) as the new transport option. Through a survey questionnaire with various respondent backgrounds, the researchers applied statistical analysis using ANOVA to compare the acceptance between the group of gender, age, occupation, income, home location, mobility pattern, and current transport. As the extension, the research also explored the factor determining people’s priority in choosing transport and showing attributes (comfort, security and safety, exclusivity, time travel, cost, flexibility, facility, and accessibility). The result reveals that there are no differences between-group comparisons in accepting LRT as the new transport. In analyzing the determinant factors, the result shows that passengers tend to value security and comfort for their daily activities in choosing public transportation. Meanwhile, the exclusivity and facility are considered undesirable for passengers in deciding to take public transportation for travel. LRT is considered as a mode transport that provides sustainable transportation value. The readiness of passenger and market environment to the sustainable transportation option is important to maintain the successful implementation of the LRT project in Bandung.

The government of South Sumatera Province, decided to build Light Rail Transit (LRT) in Palembang City with the route from Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport to Jakabaring area to address the health, social and economic impacts from traffic congestion. However, will the development of LRT in Palembang city be enough to prevent total traffic congestion in 2019 and utilized by the people of Palembang City who have been accustomed to using private vehicles? With this rationale, the Transit Oriented Development (TOD) theory was adopted in this study as the answer to those questions. This study focused on analyzing the potential application of the TOD concept on the Simpang Polda Station Area by using several ‘TOD-ness’ measurement indicators from some previous research and TOD Standard by ITDP [1]. Using 8 new potential indicators, the assessment of the potential application of the TOD concept on the Palembang City LRT Simpang Polda showed that this transit area has enough potential for the implementation of the TOD concept by applying several supporting development plans.
