Study of specimens in the Mycological Herbarium of the Komarov Botanical Institute (LE) is resulted in new records of Ceraceomyces sulphurinus (P. Karst.) J. Erikss. et Ryvarden, a species of corticioid fungi rare for Europe. This species is recorded for the first time for the Leningrad and Nizhny Novgorod Regions. Data on distribution and distinctive characters of Ceraceomyces sulphurinus are provided.

In total 25 aphyllophoraceous fungi (marked *) are recorded for the first time for the territory of St. Petersburg, including 5 species new for North-West of European part of Russia (Antrodia malicola, Athelia cystidiolophora, Steccherinum tenuispinum, Trechispora tenuicula, Tyromyces kmetii). New data on distribution in St. Petersburg of 8 rare species are also presented. Data on localities, habitats and substrates of all these species are provided. The specimens are kept in the Mycological herbarium of the Komarov Botanical Institute RAS (LE).

New data on the distribution of 27 species of Hydraenidae and three species of Elmidae (Coleoptera) from Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan are provided. Ochthebius foveolatus Germar, 1824 and Stenelmis koreana Satô, 1978 are recorded from Russia for the first time. Other new records are: Ochthebius bernhardi Jäch et Delgado, 2008 (Ukraine), O. depressus Sahlberg, 1900 (Ural Mountains), O. erzerumi Kuwert, 1887 (European part of Russia and Ural Mountains), O. flavipes Dalla Torre, 1877 (Ural Mountains), O. jermakovi Orchymont, 1933 (Kazakhstan), and O. joosti Jäch, 1992 (Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan). A new record for the rarely collected Laeliaena sparsa Sahlberg, 1900 from Uzbekistan is also provided. For Ochthebius yoshitomii Jäch et Delgado, 2014 new records and information on the correct type locality, as well as detailed habitat information and photographs of its habitat on Kunashir Island are provided.

Six species of aquatic Coleoptera are recorded from the Lipetsk Oblast for the first time: Haliplus flavicollis Sturm, 1834 (Haliplidae); Agabus paludosus (Fabricius, 1801), Ilybius neglectus (Erichson, 1837), I. wasastjernae (C.R. Sahlberg, 1824), Hydroporus incognitus Sharp, 1869, Hygrotus versicolor (Schaller, 1783) (Dytiscidae), Hydrobius rottenbergii Gerhardt, 1872 (Hydrophilidae). Two species (Ilybius wasastjernae, Hydroporus incognitus), are recorded at the southernmost limits of the known range in the European part of Russia. The record of Contacyphon laevipennis (Tournier, 1868) is confirmed by provided material. For three species, original photographs of the habitus and male genitalia are provided, and for two ones – of the habitat.

The paper provides the results of seven-year study of downy mildew on Skadovsky Zvenigorod Biological Station of Moscow State University (ZBS MSU, Moscow Region). A total of 29 species of Peronosporales (Oomycota) were revealed during the study. An annotated list of species is presented, among them Peronospora anemones is recorded for the first time for Russia, P. chelidonii and P. stachydis are new for the European part of Russia, 8 species are new for the Moscow Region.

Three species (Conocybe gigasperma, Entoloma occultopigmentatum, E. scabiosum) are recorded for the first time in Russia.

Information on the Sphagnum mosses of the South Ossetia is generalized, the resulted list is presented. Nine species of Sphagnum are included in the list, whereabouts data and references to the publications are given, and the presence of a sample in the Herbarium of the Komarov Botanical Institute RAS (LE) is noted. The species Sphagnum platyphyllum (Lindb. ex Braithw.) Warnst. rarely occurring in the Caucasus is reported in the South Ossetia for the first time. The species was found in the Caucasus, South Ossetia, at the side of the Ertso Lake (42°28ʹN, 43°45ʹE), 1720 m a. s. l., among sedge thickets at the margin of the overgrowing lake. The peculiarities of its occurrence and ecological conditions are considered. Its distribution in the Caucasus and in the world is discussed.

The corticioid basidiomycete Jaapia ochroleuca (Bres.) Nannf. et J. Erikss. is recorded for the first time in the European Russia from the «Bryansky Les» Nature Reserve (Bryansk Region). The taxonomic position of the species is defined briefly. Its morphological description and data on distribution and ecology are provided. The details of microscopic structure of the collected specimen are illustrated.

Thirty-one lichen-forming fungi, 12 lichenicolous fungi, and 5 non-lichenized fungi are reported as new for Arkhangelsk Region; 7 species are new for its mainland area. Micarea fallax is reported for the first time for Russia; M. laeta and M. pusilla are new for the European part of Russia. The second finding of Nicropuncta rugulosa for Russia is recorded; microconidia are first observed in this species. The records of ten species which have been included in the new edition of the Red Data Book of the Arkhangelsk Region (2020) are presented. Nephromopsis laureri from the Red Data Book of the Russian Federation (2008) and Leptogium rivulare from the IUCN Red List are reported for the first time for Arkhangelsk Region.
