<p>The cognitive abilities that are necessary to make-mating interactions effectively have been described as "Mating Intelligence." This is an evolutionary construct that has just recently initiated to receive practical consideration. This research work investigated the psychometric properties of the Persian translation of the Mating Intelligence Scale in Iran. A total of 760 male and female heterosexual participants (380 for each sex) were recruited from colleges. Participants completed a self-reported questionnaire and reported some demographic information such as age, their qualification degree and major. The male and female version of the Geher and Kaufman (2007) Mating Intelligence Scale were used to gather data. The factor analysis with the Oblimin rotation showed five factors with Eigen-values greater than one (Sexual Over-Estimation, Cross-Sex Mind Reading, Self-Deception, Other-Deception, and Courtship Display) in males sample. Also, a confirmatory factor analysis was performed to confirm the results of the exploratory analysis. The values of fitness indicators show that this model benefits from good fitness. Results showed four factors with eigenvalues greater than one (Sexual Over-Estimation, Cross-Sex Mind Reading, Other-Deception, and Courtship Display) in females sample, and again, the confirmatory factor analysis confirmed the results of exploratory analysis. In general, the use of the MI questionnaire is appropriate regarding the Iranian population due to the excellent validity and reliability and can be used in screening, therapeutic and educational situations.</p>

The cognitive abilities that are necessary to make mating interactions effectively have been described as “Mating Intelligence.” This is an evolutionary construct that has just recently initiated to receive practical consideration. This research work investigated the psychometric properties of the Persian translation of the Mating Intelligence Scale in Iran. A total of 760 male and female heterosexual participants (380 for each sex) were recruited from colleges. Participants completed a self-reported questionnaire and they also reported some demographic information such as age and their qualification degrees and major. The male and female version of the Geher and Kaufman Mating Intelligence Scale were used to gather data. We performed a confirmatory factor analysis to confirm the structure of the original version of both scales. The values of fitness indicators show that in both samples, the model benefits from good fitness. The results show that the scale and its subscales in both samples have proper reliability coefficients. In general, the use of the mating intelligence questionnaire is appropriate regarding the Iranian population due to the excellent validity and reliability and can be used in screening and therapeutic and educational situations.

Research on the happiness of tourists is becoming popular recently. The study thrives to start this work and develop a scale to measure tourism happiness in Eastern India. Two studies need to be conducted, following a cross validation approach. The first study is qualitative using content analyses, aiming to identify the factors and variables considered essential for making tourists happy. The sample in study 1 consists of 300 tourists of Eastern India selected by stratified random sampling method. Based on the content analyses, a questionnaire will be developed. Study 2 aims to initiate the scale validation. The questionnaire developed in study 1 will be answered by a second sample of 400 tourists visiting Eastern India. The exploratory analysis will identify some first order factors. The next step is to proceed with confirmatory factor analysis to validate the model and propose a final scale. A structural equation modelling approach is used with the help of current versions of SPSS and AMOS packages.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the validity of exploratory factor analysis (EFA) study on the work attributes of pharmaceutical sales executives in Nigeria using confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), and furthermore to evaluate the relative importance of the work attributes. An analytical study design used a 13-item, 5-point Likert scale questionnaire administered to 226 pharmaceutical sales executives using a simple random sampling method. Data analysis using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) and Analysis of Moment Structures (AMOS) with a significance level set at p<0.05. The measurement model was evaluated using the maximum likelihood method. Model fit criteria measures for CFA were satisfactory (CMIN/df=2.297; NFI=0.017; TLI=0.905; CFI=0.950; RMSEA=0.064). The study showed that the most dominant attribute was involvement in community education programs with a regression coefficient of 0.892, and the least was limited access to customers (0.446). Convergent validity measures were acceptable. Divergent validity can be enhanced by including more items. The study confirmed the validity of the EFA study outcomes obtained from the previous research work. PurposeThe disruptions caused by new-age technologies of Industry 4.0 are posing a formidable challenge to researchers, academicians and practitioners alike. Quality 4.0 that depicts the role of the quality function in the Industry 4.0 scenario must be comprehended so that the rudiments of Quality 4.0 are understood properly, and interventions can be made to embrace the new normal. As the literature on Quality 4.0 is extremely scarce, empirical studies are mandatory to augment the process of theory building.Design/methodology/approachThe research work identifies 12 axes of the Quality 4.0 revolution based on literature review and insights from experts. Subsequently, a measurement model is formulated and an instrument to measure the level of Quality 4.0 implementation is developed. The measurement model has been checked for model fit, reliability and validity using the confirmatory factor analysis approach.FindingsThe proposed model was found to be adequate, reliable and valid and concludes that though technology plays a significant role in the development of the Quality 4.0 system, aspects of traditional quality are very much apropos to transform to the next frontier of quality.Research limitations/implicationsImplications for future research are provided which would help to further explore the nascent field of Quality 4.0.Practical implicationsThis research would help the practitioners better understand the various requirements and measure the degree of implementation of a Quality 4.0 system.Originality/valueThe present research is perhaps the first of its kind in propounding a measurement model, through empirical analysis, for the betterment of the understanding of Quality 4.0 and its associated constituents.

abstractThe sampling technique used in this study is non-probability sampling technique that is purposive sampling. In this study used Dyadic Adjustment Scale (DAS) developed by Spanier (1976), Big Five Inventory (BFI) developed by John, O. P & Srivastava, S. (1999) and Emotional Intelligence Scale developed by Salovey & Mayer (1990). The validity of the measuring instrument was tested using the Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) technique with Lisrel 8.70 software and to test the research hypothesis using multiple regression analysis using SPSS 21 software. The results of the study using multiple regression analysis showed that all independent variables used had a significant effect on marital adjustment with a variant proportion of 16.4%, while the remaining 83.6% is influenced by other variables other than research. Meanwhile, the results of the analysis of each variable separately show that the personality type variables conscientiousness and openness to experience have a significantly to marital adjustment. While personality types extraversion, agreeableness, neuroticsm, emotional intelligence, gender, duration of marriage and income not significant effect on marital adjustment.
