The tourism supply chain (TSC) consists of different participants: suppliers, tour operators and customers; in TSC, numerous physical and information flows to end customers are realized. Efficient realization of flows is enabled by logistics systems and technologies. In this way, logistics contribute to the competitiveness of tourism products. TSC participants can be trade, production, catering, logistics companies, travel agencies, but also households, primarily in rural areas. Households can play a role at all levels of TSC (suppliers of goods, materials and services, tour operators, travel agencies, end customers) and in various forms of tourism, but they play the most important role in rural and agritourism. Logistics is important in the optimization of logistics flows of households in TSC, having in mind imperatives of quality of goods, services, or complete tourism products that they can supply customers with. Therefore, in this paper, the role, significance and basic characteristics of subsystems of household logistics in TSC are analyzed.

Managing a tourism supply chain is predominantly focused on managing a tourism-specific product that can be perceived as all kinds of goods and services utilized by tourists during their trips. The predominant goal of this article is to empirically identify the level of engagement of entities operating in the tourism-oriented branch of industry concerning the satisfaction of end-customers with the offered tourism-related services and products. Within the scope of this study, the statistical relevance of elements of active cooperation within a tourism-specific supply chain was analyzed. Empirical examinations covered the assessment of the cooperation within the framework of the tourism-oriented supply chain and its impact on consumer satisfaction. A research questionnaire was utilized to meet examination-specific goals. Theoretical considerations and the analysis of branches of industry in relation to the available statistical data showed that tourist-oriented supply chain covers various entities, the engagement of which may have a factual impact on the efficiency of managing the entire chain, as well as on the overall client satisfaction, improving tourism sustainability. The obtained results clearly showed that the examined entities considered the analyzed cooperation aspects to be very important with regard to the supply chain management. Said aspects included the total length of cooperation within the framework of a particular supply chain, which, according to the examined entities, directly translated into the quality of cooperation—to either significant or very significant extent, as well as making it much easier to solve certain problems that were strictly connected with the provision of tourism-oriented services. Yet another aspect of cooperation that was touched upon was the transfer of the so-called know-how between the entities engaged in a given supply chain. As proven by the examination, 70% of the surveyed entities claimed that it was of significant or very significant importance. The last analyzed aspect of cooperation were relations between the supply chain-specific partners and their impact on the satisfaction of end customers. According to over half of the sample (61.54%), decent relations between supply chain participants affected the satisfaction of end customers to a notable extent.

This study was aimed to analyze the supply chain distribution patterns of forest honey in the West Sumbawa through Sumbawa Forest Honey Network or Jaringan Madu Hutan Sumbawa (JMHS) using descriptive qualitative data. This study uses a supply chain distribution pattern approach based on the product, financial and information flow. In the product flow, honey is harvested by honey hunters in the forest and assembled to a group leader. Then, honey is handed over to JMHS and marketed at Rumah Madu” (Honey House). The forest honey harvest season in Sumbawa is between August-December. Honey hunters can harvest 15-20 liters of honey per hunter in one hunting day. In financial flow, we observed that the pricing of honey is decided by JMHS according to the market price and the harvest season. Honey price from the hunter is ranging from 60,000 - 75,000 IDR per 660 ml bottle. The purchasing price of honey by JMHS is 65,000-85.000 IDR per 660 ml bottle and after the packaging by JMHS, honey is marketed to the last consumers with a selling price of 110,000 IDR per 500 ml. The information flows in both directions. The group of honey hunters inform to JMHS about the locations of honey as well as the amount of harvested. In the JMHS side, they distribute information of the classification and quality of honey, provide the good harvest training and information on honey price to hunters.

Traditional travel agencies and tour operators are recognized as relevant stakeholders in the tourism distribution chain, even though their role as transforming agents in the achievement of more sustainable tourism is beginning to be accepted. This document collects the main topics and the most recent approaches from the academic literature in its analysis of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) practices developed by these intermediaries. The work has been structured around six recurring themes in most of the studies carried out: the new intermediaries that operate on the Internet; the role of travel agencies and tour operators in tourism sustainability; the influence of the size of the company; CSR as a disruptive innovation in this sector; the potential of the sustainable tourism supply chain; and the motivations and attitudes of the managers of these businesses when they engage with responsibility. This last topic is developed in greater detail since it is closely linked to the previous ones and dictates in most cases the meaning and function of the sustainable performance.

The conclusions show how tourism intermediaries have only just begun to develop CSR policies, and those that are committed to their implementation mostly opt for actions aimed at the environment.

Depopulation and ageing are long-lasting problems of Serbian rural areas. In terms of demographic self-renewal of rural areas, especially family farms, the issue of resource base for biological reproduction is of great importance. Quantity and quality of resource base are determined by the characteristics of rural social vitality as well as rural gender regime. Thus, factors of women`s participation in biological reproduction of family farms have been analyzed. The analysis was based on a sample of 1,096 family farms in Vojvodina. Vojvodina is considered relevenat for the analysis due to the significant rural depopulation and ageing. The results have confirmed concept of rural gender regimes to be an adequate scheme to explore the basic characteristics of the women`s participation in biological reproduction on family farms. Bio-demographic and socio-cultural factors have stronger impact on women`s participation in biological reproduction than than socio-economic ones. Mariage is proven to be the most significant predictor of women`s participation in biological reproduction, regardlesly to farm type. Also, results have proven nuptiality and fertility postponement among women living on family farms. It can be concluded that women`s participation in biological reproduction of family farms occurs under the influence of partially modified rural gender regime.
